Dr. Homan is also a lactation consultant which is awesome because he's so helpful and supportive with breastfeeding, BUT he's not the least bit judgey. We always leave there feeling like we are doing a good job at being parents. He's also been great when we've had little issues pop up outside of routine care, always calls to check in even if it's after 5pm. I haven't had a bad experience there so far. They have several nurses who are dedicated to answering the nurse line, I love this because I can talk to them any time during office hours and they will know about any previous calls and they will check in with Dr. Homan too in case he has a different suggestion about whatever my issue it. Another thing I really like is you can be seen at the practice 365 days a year. This is a huge plus for me. I've heard that there are different prices for this service but for me I've only every paid for an office visit when I go it, but I may not have done the walk in hours. It sounds like the front desk may not do a great job of letting people know what type of service they are getting (procedure, urgent care etc) so you may want to ask and this is probably an area they could improve on- but that's not something I've experienced. Regarding an urgent care charge, I would rather pay it to my own pediatricians office where they know my kid and have his medical history than some random place. I recommend this practice any time someone asks.

When I was finally acknowledged, the front desk staff continued to hold her cell phone, and rudely asked my child's name as if I was interrupting her social media time. The service from the provider was not any better once my child was seen. I've never seen a provider mock a child so much. I was totally annoyed and taken back by the unprofessionalism that the staff members showed at Chapel Hill Pediatrics.

In the past, I've…read morehad some good, and I've had some absolutely awful doctors, but Dr. Caulfield and the staff at Carrboro Peds and Internal Med actually made me happy to be there. The front office staff was very sweet and helpful. I only waited maybe 10 minutes to be taken in the back by a very kind nurse. And, only waited about another 5-10 minutes before Dr. Caulfield actually came into examine me. She was very thorough, asked lots of questions, talked about my options, and explained why she was choosing to take a certain course of action. She has a very friendly personality and is extremely knowledgeable. I felt like I was in great hands and really couldn't have been more pleased with a doctor's visit. I don't have any kids, but if I did, I would absolutely be taking them to Dr. Caulfield and staff. They are a great practice and I am grateful to have found them!

I believe their Durham location is fairly new, and is part of this large building off NC 54 by the 40 Freeway (it's really easy to find). The staff is not only very friendly, but they were also helpful in getting my new little baby girl set up as a new patient. I am a new first-time mom (just over 2 weeks) and finding a pediatrician before was not necessarily easy. There are so many great choices! I noticed that Chapel Hill PA had a great website, great feedback from friends, and lots of good Yelp reviews for their Chapel Hill location. After giving birth at UNC, my little one and I got quickly set up at their Durham location and have had really pleasant visits since. We have seen Dr. Joe and Dr. Woodrum at the Durham location, and we loved them both - especially Dr. Woodrum! The doctors were both friendly, caring, helpful and attentive to my husband and I's questions and needs. Most of all, they take their time with each family they see. The pediatrics team does a great job of making new parents feel at ease and prepared for the new chapter of life that awaits them. I am so happy to have chosen Chapel Hill Pediatrics and Adolescents (Durham Location) for my newborn.

We've seen a few other pediatricians since moving, and nobody has ever compared to Dr. Cooley. She's warm, kind, understanding. She has the perfect temperament to be in the field that she's in. When we had our daughter, she made us feel better about not knowing what we were doing. She never made us feel stupid for the millions of obvious questions that we asked. She always answered with grace and kindness. I wish we could replicate her because she truly is one of a kind. I would recommend Dr. Cooley to anyone - especially to new parents.
