In the past, I've…read morehad some good, and I've had some absolutely awful doctors, but Dr. Caulfield and the staff at Carrboro Peds and Internal Med actually made me happy to be there. The front office staff was very sweet and helpful. I only waited maybe 10 minutes to be taken in the back by a very kind nurse. And, only waited about another 5-10 minutes before Dr. Caulfield actually came into examine me. She was very thorough, asked lots of questions, talked about my options, and explained why she was choosing to take a certain course of action. She has a very friendly personality and is extremely knowledgeable. I felt like I was in great hands and really couldn't have been more pleased with a doctor's visit. I don't have any kids, but if I did, I would absolutely be taking them to Dr. Caulfield and staff. They are a great practice and I am grateful to have found them!

The on-call nurse told me that they "didn't have time" to see me because someone was on vacation. She told me that if my blood pressure got up to 160/110, I could go to OB triage (basically the ER for pregnant women), but otherwise I could not get any treatment. I put in an official complaint with Duke Hospital, reminding them of their previous medical neglect that I could have sued them over, and they magically had appointments available in the clinic. Lawyers shouldn't have to get involved to be able to schedule an obstetrics appointment. The doctor who did my induction was so awful, I ended up dismissing her.

Probably close to brand new. It's on one of the top-ish floor of the building which also includes apartments, offices, and restaurants. Make sure you park on top, right near the entrance, or staff will advise you to move your car. Check-in and wait time for my appointment was nominal, and my ultrasound and blood work went fairly flawlessly. The ultrasound tech was very friendly and walked us through the various parts of the baby she was looking at to check for which birth defects or development deficiencies. During the ultrasound the tech found a small mass in my bladder that was causing her some concern, so she called in Dr. Sarah Ellestad to take a look. Dr. Ellestad asked me some questions about my medical history and explained that she was concerned about it and wanted me to get it checked out further, which I totally understand and I respect her opinion, however she was a bit excited (maybe a liiiitttle less coffee for her) and got my husband who was also present a little too worked up about this mystery bladder lump, too. I don't know about you, but I prefer my medical professionals calm and level-headed. All that aside, I'm very grateful that the ultrasound tech found this small mass. It ended up being nothing, but had it been something bad, like cancer, I would have especially grateful that they found it early because I never would have known it was there. I plan on going back in a few weeks for my 18-20 week anatomy scan.

The staff is not only very friendly, but they were also helpful in getting my new little baby girl set up as a new patient. I am a new first-time mom (just over 2 weeks) and finding a pediatrician before was not necessarily easy. There are so many great choices! I noticed that Chapel Hill PA had a great website, great feedback from friends, and lots of good Yelp reviews for their Chapel Hill location. After giving birth at UNC, my little one and I got quickly set up at their Durham location and have had really pleasant visits since. We have seen Dr. Joe and Dr. Woodrum at the Durham location, and we loved them both - especially Dr. Woodrum! The doctors were both friendly, caring, helpful and attentive to my husband and I's questions and needs. Most of all, they take their time with each family they see. The pediatrics team does a great job of making new parents feel at ease and prepared for the new chapter of life that awaits them. I am so happy to have chosen Chapel Hill Pediatrics and Adolescents (Durham Location) for my newborn.

We've seen a few other pediatricians since moving, and nobody has ever compared to Dr. Cooley. She's warm, kind, understanding. She has the perfect temperament to be in the field that she's in. When we had our daughter, she made us feel better about not knowing what we were doing. She never made us feel stupid for the millions of obvious questions that we asked. She always answered with grace and kindness. I wish we could replicate her because she truly is one of a kind. I would recommend Dr. Cooley to anyone - especially to new parents. She is absolutely wonderful.

Now I know up front exactly how much labs and everything is going to cost, and it's all been very reasonable. Dr Hampe is such a breath of fresh air. She listens and is genuinely interested in me and my care. I am thoroughly impressed by her breadth of knowledge and just how many routine procedures she can do in office, that typically in the past would have required visits to multiple practices. I am able to communicate by text through an app anytime and the office is always timely with a reply. They are always able to get me in to the office if needed, or a phone visit if that's all that's needed. I finally feel like I'm able to prioritize my health because Dr Hampe and the rest of the ladies are so kind and capable. I knew I needed professional care - just in case the object was stuck in the inner ear. The clinic opened promptly at 8am as advertised and I was the 3rd one seen. The nurse, then doctor Nate, examined my ear and agreed the nurse would irrigate it. This was done at once. They found no evidence of any object in my ear. I thanked both people for their excellent, friendly, swift care. After church, back home, I found the missing object stuck in the bathroom sink drain, and sent a mss to the nurse and Nate letting them know and thanking them once again. I have had many medical encounters, and this was among the BEST in my 82 years. I hope my review will be shared with all wanting to know more about this kind, efficient and caring venue. I saw the Nurse Practitioner, Bridget Condit, to establish as a new patient and also for two health concerns. She was just the best! She's very personable and took time to truly talk with me and understand not only my medical history, but sort of get a feel for me as a person. She's an excellent listener and communicator, and also followed up with me by phone the day following my appointment. In addition to getting top-notch primary care from her, the Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist, were very professional, efficient, and friendly--as were the front desk and check out people. I felt at home right away here--like I was a long-time and valued patient. I recommend this practice 100%.

However, my case is actually an acute exacerbation (sudden worsening) of chronic sinusitis--a condition I've had for over a decade. It occasionally flares up severely. When it gets this bad, antibiotics are the only way to bring it under control; I know my own body best, and I can tell that's what I need. My current symptoms include a temperature of 99.8°F, coughing, nasal congestion, facial swelling, and pain in both my head and face--it has clearly gotten worse since this morning. My husband and I are debating whether to go to the ER now or wait and visit urgent care tomorrow. I won't be going back to that clinic again; it was a complete waste of time.
