DO NOT... I repeat DO NOT EVER send your loved one to this HORRENDOUS establishment. This place…read moreshould be shut down. From the moment I walked in I knew my loved one would NEVER get the care needed. Unfortunately, we didn't have any choice at the time when he was placed there. I frantically searched for another place for him to stay. He walked in as a patient. 5 weeks later we took him home. 4 HOURS LATER he passed away. I will NEVER FORGIVE Bridgeview. I BEG whoever has a loved one there to get them out!!!

My sister was transferred to Bridgeview. She was there for 10 days. She was alert and talkative…read more The following day- she was "sleeping" and mildly responsive. We were told she was up all night. The next day - same thing- only this time - harder to rouse. Third day - essentially vegetative. I am extremely alarmed and acting so because I know she isn't sleeping for 72 hours. Additionally her body is very cold. I'm trying to get answers from staff and from supposed doc on site. I'm asking - how long will you let her stay like this? A week? A month before you do something!? The head of the unit tells me I am "worked up" and she's cold because of the air conditioner. I am making it harder for the staff, and not trusting their medical expertise. The staff medical person, not a doc, or a PA, finally orders bloodwork. They send her to the ER for low potassium. Her body temperature was below 90 degrees. She was dead 3 days later. This is my advice to Bridgeview whose director mysteriously cannot be reached: DO NOT DISMISS FAMILY REACTION. WE KNOW OUR LOVED ONES BETTER THAN YOU DO. LISTEN. DON'T SHUT US DOWN. The ER said my sister suffered an "event" that stopped oxygen from going to her brain. It could have happened internally or externally. In my mind, something externally happening at Bridgeview is very possible. The images on their website are fictional. The food inedible. Just go there to see for yourself. The government pays $10-12,000 a month per person as long as they're breathing. That is what Bridgeview cares about and nothing else. Do not bring your loved one to this facility. They may not make it out alive.

Then they scheduled appointments with his doctors and their transportation person wouldn't show up and he missed the appointments. Then they would order things like a four wheel scooter for him, but nobody would follow up on it, and the order was canceled twice and after three weeks, I was told by a man named Mr. Ramsey that I would need to deal with his physician myself! They were done with him now that he was not a resident. He spent most of the time in his room, depressed, and it was pitiful from one day. He called me and thought he was having a stroke and I had to call back and find the nurses station because nobody had responded to him! If you care about someone, do not send them to this place!!! I would rather keep my loved one in the backyard then send them here! Be forwarned...

My mom had a great experience here in 2015, but let me just say that the pandemic hasn't been a…read moregood thing for this facility. My mom was here for about three weeks, and we are so relieved she is now back in her assisted living facility. First, the great: the PT staff is amazing here -- many of the same staff who were there in 2015 were still there, and mom couldn't say enough good about them -- caring, competent, compassionate, patient-centered. Her weekday CNA, Millie, was an absolute gem, and cared so well for my mom. Thanks to Millie and the PT folks! And now, the awful: The weekend "staff" was appalling. Mostly agency staff who didn't know patients and, frankly, were either overworked/understaffed and/or didn't care. Mom waited extended periods of time for pain medication, her calls to the bathroom went unanswered for long periods of time (leading to accidents), and she was left on the toilet for 40 minutes one evening. Responses to our complaints were, for the most part, curt and uncaring. Discharge was a complete disorganized mess. I've worked as a long-term care nurse, and I know this job is hard. I know the system is set up to not work well, and it's even harder in this environment. But a little bit of caring and compassion goes a long way, and we saw it only in a few pockets at Carlton this time around. (And no, I don't want to talk to someone at Carlton to resolve this; they had their chance when my mom was there. Take a hard look at yourselves, folks.)

At times I could hardly walk. The Staff is very efficient and all appointments are met on the scheduled time. They all wore masks and requested all patients to wear one also. Dr Kim PT was very efficient in my assessment and set me up with Scott the PTA for therapy. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in working the exercises and explaining how to do them to my advantage. I can now walk and with no pain while doing it. I would recommend FloRehab to anyone needing physical therapy .

She was careful to explain how she would help me strengthen my hip and increase my range of motion. She carefully reviewed each exercise and how it would help me. Her mantra was do them SLOWLY. She took pictures of my gait as I walked. I went from walking "not too normal" to almost 100% normal. She suggested what exercises I was okay to do such as walking and yoga. She showed me exercises for the Swiss ball, Bosu ball, and exercise bands as well as mat exercises. She showed me exercises to help further release my hips. I told her I had a gym at my condominium where I could continue to do these things. Amazon also likes me because everything she had used on me I purchased lol. Dr. Ratree is a very caring and sensitive person. Great one on one communication. Additionally, I got laser treatments for pain. Highly recommend that too. She is like a detective and finds that pain. I was actually sad to leave but also so grateful for her help. My range of motion on my right leg has gone from near zero to near normal, and I'm going to continue working on it. Now my husband is going to her for hamstring treatment. Her clinic is different from other PT places I have experienced because it is not someone trying to just get you through a routine. I found her explanations very motivating. Thank you for all you do, Dr. Ratree. You rock!

Dr Ratree had him doing the exercises at her facility which he also had to do at home. She clearly explains what the exercises do for improving better mobility. I highly recommend this Physical Therapist! Barbara and Bill
