Beware of this company! If I could give no stars, I would. My contract was for "door to door" service. The day before pickup, I was informed that the car couldn't be delivered to my new address in Washington DC (because it's in the city center), nor picked up from my address in San Francisco (due to weather delaying the arrival of the truck). They'd had my new address for more than a week and hadn't bothered to inform me of this problem. The only solution they offered for the pickup was for me to drive the car to a lot and leave it ON MY MOVE DAY. Which I did. They offered to pay some of the cab ride back to the city, so at delivery I would owe $700. The trip took 2 hours on a hectic, stressful day. My cousins said they could deliver it to their house in VA. Avanti said they could deliver anywhere in VA or DC and that it would arrive sometime between Monday and Wednesday. I was out of the country, but was told it would be turnkey delivery. My cousins would sign for the car and my credit card would be charged and all would be easy. Not so. They called my cousins on Friday (2 days late) and said they couldn't deliver the car to their 2 lane road. They also claimed I hadn't paid for the delivery and unless my cousins paid the $700+, they would return my car to Philadelphia and charge me for storage until I returned to DC. Can you say extortion? My cousin is pregnant, this was days before Christmas, and she had house guests. She did NOT need this stress and bother. She agreed to pay and miraculously, my credit card authorization was found. My cousins still had to drive to a gas station to pick up the car. When I got the invoice, it was for $720. They hadn't even taken off their portion of the cab ride! This is about the worst customer service imaginable. I will never recommend this company to anyone and am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau and whoever licenses these companies. This one should be out of business. read more

I was fool going with this company transporting my vehicle from Tennessee to San Diego, CA. Wish I wait a bit longer to go with another carrier. Here is why: 1. Operates with no insurance, damaged my vehicle, refuses to compensate damages that I incur over $2000. 2. Upon delivery requested $118 more keeping my car as a bail. When I refused to pay because of raised charge, no insurance information provided, no proof of agreement at all. They took away my vehicle and kept collecting $50 a day while keeping it in unsecured residential driveway paying an owner less than $20 but charging me $50. They were lying me it is stored in towing parking facility. 3. 3 days late against our agreed delivery date. Delivered on Sunday instead of Thursday while I was paying extra for the rental car. 4. No documents, no written receipts, invoices and moreover insurance information provided. 5. Customer service is horrible, David was rude and aggressive. 6. Drove my car over 300 miles while on the route, came with extra miles and dirty inside. Would not recommend this company to anybody. Stay Away!!! read more

I do not know even where to begin with this review. I just moved from DC to CA and went through Avanti Auto Transport to transport my car. From the beginning they were unorganized. The driver was to pick up my car on a friday morning and did not show up until 8pm. I could leave the area either since I already gave him my pick up address. He kept saying he was "almost there", I did not expect it to be 9 hours later. I was told by the broker that my car will arrive in CA in 5 days guaranteed if I paid an extra $100 and go with Avanti Auto Transport. I needed my car to get around and go on interviews so the extra money seemed worth it to me. Even after keeping in contact with the driver, my car was delivered 2 days late. I paid extra for a "guaranteed" 5 days. I did not even complain about any of these things I just mentioned. It gets worse! When the driver delivered my car to CA, I inspected it. I quickly noticed very deep scratches on my driver door and the right front panel. The driver door was most likely due to hitting something when opening it aggressively. These were not light scratches that could be buffed up. I told the driver that these were not here before and he did not deny it. He advised me to contact the company during business hours and they will be able to help me better and he was just the driver. Yes-JUST the driver that drove my car around, left NO gas in my car, the gas light was on when I received my car, and damaged it. I spoke with George from the office in PA the next day and I quickly emailed him pictures of the damages. After continually calling him and getting the run around for the next four days, George offered $300 for the damages or for me to go to one of their auto body shops to get it fixed. I did not want the money-$300 would not cover the damages to be fixed. I drove 35 miles to Hayward, CA which was the ONLY shop they said I can go to. The worker, Hamed, was very nice and looked at my car. He said that he would call George and give him an estimate. I waited three days, and once again called George. When I finally got a hold of him a few days later to confirm if I can drop off my car and they will cover the cost, George said that they do not have the receipt and he needs a copy of the receipt. Are you kidding me??? I've been talking to you for 2 weeks and now you need my receipt? What sort of UNORGANIZED company does not have a copy of the receipt. That is YOUR driver's job to fax or give it to you and have on file. I sent him the receipt via email to speed things along. When I called him again to see if he received it, he said they are not covering any of the damages because he does not believe the driver did it and why it took me so long to email him the receipt. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. These people are crazy! Why would I confront the driver on the time of drop off that the scratches were new? Why did the driver not deny it and tell me to call the office? Why would I go back and forth for 3 weeks, taking my car 35 miles away for estimates? I am an ED Nurse Manager and do not have extra free time while moving across the country to deal with this. I have honestly never written a bad review in my life. Please DO NOT use this company to transport your vehicle. They are rude, unprofessional, and are scammers. They do what ever they please, never communicate with you, and are unorganized. The driver will make several large x's all over the car diagram on the receipt so the entire picture is covered. That way they are not responsible for any damages they cause. Car transporters are expensive anyway, no company is perfect. But seriously-go with a company that has more professionalism and credibility than Avanti Auto Transport. They are horrible! read more

Beware!! Please be wary of this car carrier. I had a vehicle shipped from the east coast to the west coast and it came in with significant damage. After David at Avanti transport said he would take care of damage he totally renigged and lied about our conversation. After a long battle with their insurance company I finally gave up. We are a Dismantler company in Ca that specializes in Porsche. We hired Avanti to pick up a car for us in NY that we had purchased through an Auto Auction. We found Avanti through CentralDispatch.com On centraldispatch.com the transport company( Avanti) and the shipper(us) sign a contract. On the contract , you will find the details of the car that is being shipped, the amount of the shipping, the date it will be picked up from the auction and the date it will be delivered. Well Avanti started off with their worst foot forward, they were two days late picking up the car for the auction so the auction charged a $100 late fee. Then on the day that it was supposed to be delivered to our shop they dont come. Two weeks after the scheduled delivery date do we finally hear from them. They informed us that they are having a difficult time transporting the car because of the condition of the car and their forklift not working. They then demand that we open on a Saturday to allow them to deliver the car and that we pay for the storage of our car that we had never authorized. We open on Saturday in hopes that we can sit and talk about the payment when they get here but the car never come. Finally after another week of fighting with them and trying to figure out why they still had not delivered the car, we decided that we were done waitng we hire another transport to pick up the car from were Avanti was storing it Gardena Ca.. We not only paid the full amount for the transport 1$1300 and the storage $250 but also we paid for another transport. If I could I would rate them a negative rating, because one star is giving them too much credit. The owners are rude,mean and at times inebriate. I transported my 2011 Mercedes S550 from NJ to CA and it was just a breeze, the driver was extremely polite and professional. The vehicle arrived in a timely manner. Vehicle was in a perfect condition. I have dealt with other "reputable" companies and believe it or not Avanti was a great deal from the beginning. I transported my 2011 ford Mustang GT from CA to PA. Avanti made hole move easy and problem free, They picked up my car on time as we agreed and delivered it on time as well. I would give zero stars. Do not EVER use this company. Shipped my car from NY to NV. They delivered my car with the rear windshield busted out and did not want to repair it. I had to fight to get my car repaired before they were paid. That David guy was rude and obnoxious. Accused me of not having the money to ship the car, that is why I was insisting on repair before payment. Absolutely awful experience. DO NOT EVER use them. read more
