During the workshop we had 2-3 breaks, and were given instructions on how to breathe for the next meditation session. What I enjoyed the most is that they remind you that they are there to guide you, not force you on how to find the "light" which is the goal of your meditation session. They provide seating pillow, towel and table for your meditation session as well! Highly recommend for a growing experience :)

When I later moved to the DC area, I frequented there often when there was a function or visiting minister. I wish I had been there for the visiting minister from Russia! This place is rather cliquey, but has the spirit of service. They also have a nice youth group, and several volunteer activities. I will say this Vedanta Center has a nice parking lot, which is more than I can say for some of the Vedanta Center in the US.

The people are so kind and understanding. There is a library to borrow books from. I donated a book last Sunday. The center is very beautiful, with the decorations. The altar is very bountiful, filled with fruit and suitable items. The incense is always very pleasant, but not strong. I am sure they use the handmade incense that is made by Monks.
