I've been to this place twice now. People are friendly. I feel relaxed and at peace when I leave.

What a peaceful place to come before or after work. This place speaks women empowerment to me…read more There is a lot of zen and positive vibes in the room. You can have tea, water, or san pellegrino before diving into a stress relief meditation, emotion based training, or breathing session. Caitlin, Kirsten, and Emily are all really kind and wonderful teachers. They explain different stones with healing properties and really help you destress in the 30 minute or 1 hour session. You can come wearing your work clothes or anything you find comfortable and either lie down or sit up in a position that makes you feel comfortable during meditation and that's what I appreciate about Glow Club. I ended up purchasing the 10 credit pack after a free session and have had a solid experience. I look forward to trying some yoga in the fall when the class is available. The evening glow is probably my favorite class at the moment. The breathing class was intense for me and I would like to try it again to really get into it. I found myself forgetting to go with the rhythm during active breathing and almost falling asleep. I live and work in Silver Spring so I can only attend evening classes but these classes are great as a "cool down" post work out as well. They also help me focus on the present so hopefully they can have a similar affect on you.

As I walked up the stairs & entered the facility, I was welcomed by the aroma of what I believe to be Palo Santo. The place was gorgeous, with an amazing organic crystal selection, all fairly priced. As we entered the meditation room, lit red, there were multiple options for mediation seating. The soft yoga "blocks" offered were my fave, as it takes pressure off my spine. My instructor was Kirsten, she was very polite and had a great energy. Her guided mediation was focused & her voice was very calm & encouraging. I could've sat there for hours! After the session ended I talked to the owner who was very polite & enthusiastic to explain the services offered. I was excited to see that she offers quick pre-workday sessions. I definitely recommend this place!

Then a short guided relaxation meditation along with chanted meditation/prayers for world peace. The class is about an hour long with everything included. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming and I've had some really great conversations and made some amazing new friends here. The cost of the class is by donation and $5 for the pancakes. It's a great way to enjoy a peaceful Sunday morning with friends and family in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. The prayers begin at 10:30 and brunch is served around 11:30. I've been several times now and always had an enjoyable experience; I highly recommend it.

As soon as you enter, it's obvious it's a nice studio with a welcoming vibe--the class instructor checks you in, and there's free tea and animal crackers to take while you get settled in and hang up your coat. There's a free lending library in the lobby, too. They don't charge for using their mats and props which was a pleasant surprise. And the classes themselves are great! A well-rounded practice and not over-crowded with attendees. They have a wide variety of class options (yin, Hatha, kundalini, pre-natal) as well as multi-week workshops and events. They offer classes both in person and live online. For a little studio they have a lot to offer! It's not the cheapest yoga spot in DC, and there are only about 5 classes per day, but it's been a great experience so far. I'm glad I took the leap and got a membership (also because the first month is half off!)

For the last 10 years I have been studying my own psychology and using Cognitive Behavioral Therapies to overcome the narcissistic abuse from my childhood home. Although understanding my circumstances has helped me overcome a lot, the growth that I have come into since joining this studio does not compare. Over the last 3 months I have stopped coping with my pain with the use of Marijuana. Through the intentional movement, breath work, and meditation on a regular basis I am now able to see my own projections and even those of others which has allowed to engage with the relationships in my life differently, more productively. I have also stopped disassociating in intimacy something I did not realize I was doing from being a victim of sexual assault and rape. This place has taught me how to come back to my body and be present in my life without bringing my past back into my present. I cannot say enough of how eternally grateful I am for this place that has become a community of support and guidance. Thank you to all the instructors who brought light back into my life. Even my trajectory of my current career path is changing. Manju Sadarangani, Kate Judson, Jenna Tomasello, Jen Skillicorn, Ametisse Gover-Chamiou, Alicia McBride, Meredith McCullough, Colleen Brisport Sequeda, and of course Rebecca Henry only to name a few you have all taught me more about my alignment, my breathing, my mind more than you know. You are not just teachers, you are angels and gifts and I do not take you for granted. Thank you all for what you do for our community to help make this world a better place. This place is one of recovery and peace in my soul. I can honestly say, I have finally reach a place of contentment and deep connection with myself which is leading to deeper connections with others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
