I was part of Angelica's anger management groups for about 6 months. I was resistant at first but I soon realized these groups are so needed for everyone. Where to start? I guess from the beginning. I am definitely not one to say I needed any type of therapy. In fact I was the one person that believed no one needs therapy. I was that person who would say "I don't need someone to tell me how to better myself. I can do this on my own." Then a couple of years ago my life was going change. I met Anita through her Anger Management Essentials training some years ago and I now work along side her on the CAAMP Board of directors. Her Anger Management training was awesome! Great little family feel during the 3-day training. I was trained by Ingrid Caswell, who was trained by Anita, who I thought did a phenomenal job! I'm a firm believer that students are, in a large part, a representation of their teacher, so to me that speaks volumes. During the training, we learned exercises from Anita's workbook, practiced running the exercises and received helpful feedback. It's much more than that, but I don't want to make this too long. I have to say that I absolutely loved learning the biological components of anger and the research to back it. As a colleague, Anita has an AMAZING work ethic, is always friendly and super supportive. She's also one of the few individuals I know that consistently responds quickly to messages and helps problem solve when needed.
