The best in town, and one of the best in central Texas. She has a natural talent for finding even the deepest knots.

We trusted Dr. Kim with ongoing care, which is why this situation was so disappointing…read more We made a 2-hour round trip to a follow-up appointment only to be unexpectedly informed by Ying, the PA, that Dr. Kim was no longer with TriCity Pain, and that May 24, 2024 had apparently been his last day. Patients were never notified beforehand -- no call, message, letter, or any other communication. Finding out at an appointment that your physician had already left weeks earlier is unprofessional and unacceptable for continuity of care. The core issue is a lack of integrity in how this transition was handled toward patients in a pain clinic setting, where individuals are already dealing with significant ongoing suffering and dependence on consistent care. Abruptly leaving without proper notice shows a concerning lack of consideration and accountability toward those relying on treatment. If there was a reasonable explanation for the abrupt departure, it was never communicated to patients. Even in difficult or unfavorable situations, patients deserve a basic level of transparency and a diplomatically delivered explanation, particularly when ongoing care is involved. Even Ying appeared uncomfortable being left to explain the situation to surprised patients arriving expecting to see their physician. To be clear, the issue is not that a doctor changes practices or opens a new clinic -- that is understandable. The issue is how it was handled. Patients deserved honesty, transparency, professionalism, and integrity throughout that transition. UPDATE to previous review: Dr. Kim's response does not address the central concern raised in the original review -- the lack of communication and failure to notify established patients prior to his departure from the practice. It does not acknowledge the impact on patients who arrived for scheduled care and were only then informed he was no longer with the clinic. The response also does not include any apology to patients affected by the lack of notice and disruption in continuity of care. The use of the word "unfortunately" comes across as dismissive in context and does not address the underlying concerns regarding patient communication or continuity of care. Additionally, it references a "2024/2025" departure timeline, which is inconsistent with what patients were told by the practice (May 24, 2024) and does not align with what we experienced firsthand on June 4, when patients arrived for appointments and found he was already no longer there. Overall, the response does not engage with the communication failure or patient impact raised in the original review.

I was referred to PPofTX by my orthopedic surgeon. I recently had a VERY THOUROUGH (general intake,…read morephysical exam, discuss imaging, course of treatment, etc.) new patient consult and I can't express how pleased I am with the level of care I have received thus far. All of the staff are extremely nice and knowledgeable. Despite the [painful] reason I was there, I left feeling a bit of relief simply knowing what my future options and plans are...at this point in my health journey, PROGRESS is everything! I will provide a follow-up after my first procedure (coming soon). The location is easy to access, and has ample parking. The facility is modern and clean. So far, definitely 5 stars. If you (and I sincerely hope not) discover a need for nerve pain relief, I recommend PPofTX. Be sure to say "howdy" to the lovely ladies Beverly, Annie, and Ellen. :D

So I decided to do the stem cell "treatment" once for four thousand dollars, where they put you under. Then I waited months before I could really do anything besides walk. My checkups reflected that my knee condition actually got worse from the treatment. That was after a year of staying low (not being active), hoping that it was healing. They did not say what I could and couldn't do, just very general statements. I would not recommend this procedure as it was wasted time and money. The doctor would not talk to me after the procedure, only his assistants.
