Hey went in here on Monday and oh my what a visit. I use to come there a lot a few years back but since would send my girl for me which nothing was ever wrong up until this Monday. I walk in silver is at 79.84 a oz I come in to try and sell two of them he told me best he could do is 60, because he sells his for 70. Again price is at 79.84 and all his kids are looking at me to see if ima sell it. I'm not dumb I put em back and showed him so ms 70 graded coins again told me he sells those for 72 dollars out the door all the time. Now I get mad I tell him to sell me them for 72 and the ungraded for 70 and I'll buy em right now. Awkward silence then refused my business. Again I will no longer buy or support racist people. My girlfriend is white and she goes in her dad goes in good deals me being Mexican they act like my dumb and don't look at prices. I wasn't expecting spot or melt price for my silver I asked for 70 on the raw and 90 on the ms 70 coins. I went to Cassidy's loballs and loans, and they offered me $150 as a loan for a diamond ring and directed me to (Avenue coin scammers) to sell it. I'm pretty sure that they call ahead to get the lowball scam going. When I got there, the old lady first started telling me about all the certificates she has in jewelry, and diamonds, then proceeded to tell me my 14k ring was 10k and the diamonds wasn't worth anything. Tried to manipulate the metal tester like I was boo boo the fool and offered me $120 ($30) less than Cassidy's but still in the price range. Then she told me to go shop around before selling to her (basically trying to get me to accept Cassidy's $150 offer or hers). That's how I know they were working together. I went here with my friend Paul. Paul purchased four gold bars from them. Paul had his receipt and his bars were still in the plastic and sealed. The employees inspected the gold bars and their equipment could not detect the gold through the plastic. I asked them try on their own inventory and the same result occurred and they were uncertain how to proceed. We were asked to return and the owner claimed Paul and I were frauds who had earlier gone to a Manteca store with the intent to sell fake gold bars. I can personally swear that I have never been to any gold exchanges in Manteca. In fact, I'm a law school graduate and told the shop owner about the warranty for fitness and merchantability. Those are in the Uniform Commercial Code and that document governs the "sale of goods". He became apprehensive and and refused to buy back his gold bars at market price even though his store sold Paul those gold bars. To make matters worse he actually is committing defamation in the post below by publishing defamatory material about me, that is false, and offensive, without any consent or privilege. In fact because it concerns a crime and could lower my estimation within the community it's likely to be considered libel, and slander per se. Shame on this store for their epic failure. read more

Had a good experience here today. I brought in some old(ish) coins just to see what they'd give me for them. I was helped by a fella named Jerry who separated them into piles and quoted me prices for each pile. I know none of the coins were in any extraordinary condition so getting just a quick flat rate without nitpicking each coin's condition was nice. It was even nicer that the rate was quite fair too! Pretty much as close to what I could get selling on ebay, but with the added luxury of not having to go through the trouble of listing them (I've done it before and it's often more work than it's worth...) Like another Yelper wrote, the price was as generous as one could hope from a shop that intends to resell them. All in all, I walked out with a little over $100 and didn't even sell the bulk of my collection. I even kept my nearly-full album of old wheat pennies which I was happy about because of the history I have with it. I'm glad I found this place since it's only a 5 minute drive from my house, and I will definitely be back when I find the rest of my coins that are (I hope) still stashed away in the attic somewhere. read more

These guys are thieves, go to your personal jeweler. I took two 22K solid stamped 916 East Indian bangles for scrap. The 1st guy said they're 22K solid gold after xray, but was going to offer only $800 due to his estimate of 4 gm of stones ( diamond, sapphire, citrine, & peridot) so I took them home & popped them out & it was only 1 gm less. I came back a few days later, & the woman there was claiming they were only plated, I had stopped by the pawn right up the street & they scanned it and claimed they were only 19K solid & that's what they'd pay, so I went back to Ave Gold. Now this woman on Avenue Gold is claiming they're plated & takes a file & GRINDS & SHAVES & SHAVES OFF 1.5 gm. Then she claimed they're only 16K according to the same xray gun the last guy there used to check at 22K solid and would only pay that, after STEALING & FILING 1.5 grams OFF! So I took them back & went to a friend's jeweler in Moke Hill, they WERE 22K solid & he said they were trying to screw me & that the minimal amount of glue to hold gems was what they were trying to use to falsify readings. I got full price for my gold left, which was still more than they'd offered me. Avenue Gold are cheats & snakes. Go somewhere else!! Stole 1.5 gm of my gold!! read more
