(There are many positive comments that are not featured at the top, which I don't understand.) The Linden School is simply one of the finest communities that I have ever been part of. The passion and expertise from the faculty is just unmatched. (Seriously: Go to Ratemyteacher and see what kids are saying.) The students achieve incredible things, likely because the teachers are approachable, engaged, and really care about their students' achievements. If a kid (or parent) needs help, the teachers are there for them. The curriculum is interesting, without a lot of emphasis put on textbooks or prepackaged programmes. Teachers listen to students and respond to individual interests and needs. Much of the classroom work is based on real problems, and hands-on activities. This approach seems to be working, as the graduates are articulate, interesting people who go on to do amazing things. There is also an outstanding athletics programme. Although there are no tryouts, the teams still somehow keep winning championship banners! Seriously--the gym is full of them. I can't recommend Linden highly enough. If you're looking for a school where people care about you and where you'll be encouraged to do amazing things, You should consider it.

Instead of being a place of growth and encouragement, the school created an atmosphere of fear, exclusion, and constant judgment. A teacher, Rory consistently singled me out in ways that felt unfair and humiliating. The leadership under the principal, Janice, only made things worse -- the administration fostered an environment that was punitive rather than supportive, and students like me were left feeling isolated and diminished. The impact of this experience has stayed with me long after, which says everything about the culture of this school. I would strongly warn families to reconsider before sending their children here.

I made an appointment to take a school tour, and it seemed like a really cool place to attend. All the programs are arts related, from fashion design to video game design and film production, it seems like a kick ass school. Well Kick-ass School comes at a ass kicking price. For the program I wanted to take, it would cost I believe $18,000 for a year (a two year program).. Not exactly pennies. Most of their programs are exceptionally high - something that is not advertised on their website. One year of their schooling was almost equivalent to a 4 year tuition at U of T! The entrance exam consists of an assignment, which obviously varies depending on the program. It's not that hard if you have a creative bone in your body and can prove that you have an aptitude for the program of your choice. Overall, the school is really good for specialized arts field. You really get hands on experience and it seems like a good place to network and get a job in your field. But it comes at a hefty cost.

Because it's a school, there is usually 3 people residing over your treatment (1 primary and 2 secondaries). You'll be asked a lot of questions about your health and any issues you have. They then leave for about 5 minutes deciding how to treat you. I teach yoga and if you can believe it, I get tight in my upper back (all those downward dogs), so sometimes I'll get a massage (Tuina, a chinese massage that is done over your clothes and feels amazing; cupping, which is a deep massage but if you love deep tissue massage, it's AWESOME!!! You will have marks on your backs though - they do fade; sometimes Shiatsu). They also do acupuncture (of course). They will also prescribe herbs if needed. The cost is $20 a session (the session is about 1.5 hours), but if you get a living green card, it's $15/session. Go...just go.

In which case, cost is more than student-run, but still very reasonable I think compared to many other places. The practioners there are excellent, so knowledgeable and intuitive and treat all sorts of issues. Very comfortable, professional, and relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit, especially if you are struggling with some sort of issue and not sure what can be done about it. I think they can help or point you in the right direction.

Also offered is flexible plan where you go any time of the week if you cannot go with fixed day, but it costs extra. Lessons cover playing instruments and music theory. They offer lessons for anything from guitar to cello as long as it is string instrument.

We found TSS on the web and decided to try a couple of months with Julian Fisher. Julian takes the "whole musician" approach and encouraged our son in ALL aspects of musicianship, whether playing for friends or at Kiwanis festivals. Each year our son had opportunities to play at recitals and in summer at a camp. We were delighted when TSS expanded to include piano (Susan Hamblin Dennis) as well. Next month (June 2014) our son will play his Grade 6 violin RCM exam. In December 2014 he plans to do Grade 9 RCM in piano. We attribute his rapid success in violin and piano to the excellent and nurturing tutelage through TSSP.

I passed my G2 road test at first attempt and I truly believe this would not be possible without what I learned from and practiced with Zia. My recommendations are: listen to what your instructor tells you. Don't be shy to ask clarifying questions until you fully understand what the test requirements are. Make no assumptions like "i'm experienced enough, it should be easy". Practice your driving skills using Zia's recommendations. Repeat the exercises until it naturally becomes your habit. Listen to the test day guidance by Zia - that worked incredibly for me as I knew exactly what to expect, where to go, what to do, etc. I wholeheartedly recommend the Honours Driving School and Zia in particular to those who consider the proper test preparation as a valuable goal. Needless to say, you will save your time and money and I am sure you will not regret your choice, guys!
