It's okay, but not great. Definitely needs carpet steam cleaning due to many mysterious brown spots.

Maybe they will get the kinks worked out eventually. But now when you come to a gate, there will be several people there waiting trying to get through because their wristbands aren't working. It's a bit of an inconvenience. I really wanted to go out on the beach and watch the sunrise... Not able to.

I was literally SO excited to spend the day at the Sweetgrass Spa here at the resort and it was…read moreso...UN-impressionable. I literally love resort spas. It's a hobby of mine I digress I love to splurge. And I've been to ones in numerous different states within the US and over 20 yrs. This one was so overpriced and underdelivered. The staff was nice I will say that! But the spa didn't have hot tubs, no free saunas (only 15 minute paid sessions), no steam rooms, and no cold plunges. So apart from paid treatments it left nothing to do to relax for the day which is literally the whole point. They had no snacks! And offered hot tea but me and THREE other women over a period of an hour asked for hot water to be replaced as it was empty and no one refilled it. I arrived at 2pm and didn't get my first hot tea until 6pm. The outdoor jacuzzi was a shared space for men and women, didn't have jets you could push on, and was swarming w floating fly ants. Yuck. The sauna I did end up paying for wasn't even private! Meaning it was all three sides window glass and in a high traffic hallway area so any women who walked by stared at you. The nail tech did a great pedicure but you have to walk outside way down to other end of resort that is not adjacent or even close to the spa itself. Champagne was supposed to be included in treatment and says so even on website and yet I was never offered and when asked she had to go "check w her manager". I've never had a more UNCOMFORTABLE SPA EXPERIENCE in my 20 yrs of actively going to various spas... And don't get me started on the paid treatments! I paid for a mud wrap full body cbd treatment. First, be prepared to have them try to upsell you in every way like a used car salesman. Second, be prepared to smell bad breath, and hear them squeak around the room on their sneakers and roll around the room on their loud stool while your eye mask is on instead of politely leaving the room while you soak up the treatment! And why wasn't there pleasant spa chill relaxation music playing at least?? Ugh. I hate to say this but I regret tipping 20%. I left lore stressed than when I came in... And last but not least I called ahead to verify they closed at 8pm. I verbally asked again upon checking in...and yet by 6:45pm the place emptied out and I had a staffer remind me it closes in an hour and at 7:25 I had the manager let me know again. So F it, I got dressed and left at 7:35. I was so over it.

Moved to a different villa. Appeared clean with a nice golf course view; however, our eyes burned all night from an allergen of some sort--possibly from the one inch layer of dust under the furniture or dusty old bedding. Beds felt of metal springs in your back and flat pillows. Bottom line, the villas are all very old (and gross). Attempted to have a lovely breakfast after a terrible night of sleep, and the Jasmine Porch closed 45 min. early and was unable to seat us. For us, Kiawah is out. Stayed at the Sanctuary previously and it was not a memorable experience. After walking 18 holes at the Ocean Course, the pub was closed for a wedding. This place is hit and miss. There are a ton of other oceanfront golf resorts that are far better than this one. If you want a reliably amazing experience, don't waste your time or money. Sea Island or Sea Pines or even a trek to Pebble Beach would surpass expectations. So very much disappointed in our Kiawah experience.

We accidentally left clothes behind. I called the resort as soon as we got home. They took my name and number and promised to call. I never received the call back. We will never know!!! The no response was disappointing from such a nice resort.

Despite that, The place is always incredibly clean, comfortable and friendly so this is the place we always want to stay on Hilton head Island. The rooms are so well kept that they look brand new. They are more than adequately equipped with huge bathrooms and bedrooms and a nice balcony. There's a restaurant actually a couple of places to eat that are across the Laguna where you can walk to eat. This isn't a kid's only place either. Adults find it equally fun and enjoyable whether you'll be sitting in a hammock, swimming in the pool, doing a fitness walk around the property or watching the squirrels and birds. Kids enjoy it when Chip and Dale come around. There are numerous activities to keep the kids busy. This is not a character centric resort but more on the relaxing side. Every person who works here is friendly and polite, and willing to help with anything you need. You truly feel like you are valued here. Outside of the resort, there is plenty of shopping up and down the main road. You won't be bored here at Disney, trust me.

I am at the stage in my life where I have time to relax, I can put everything on the back burner and take a two week vacation. On this past trip, I was able to get off the cruise ship in Miami, stop in for a quick hello at my father in laws house and then head up north. Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort was the perfect stop. This year I planned for a two night stay at the property. We reserved a two bedroom unit with a magnificent view of the low country coastal marsh. Birds and assorted wild life are flying by, it can't get more picturesque from what I'm seeing from our private deck. *From September 8, 2025, through March 2026, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort will undergo exterior maintenance. You may see and hear construction and refurbishment work during daytime hours. They got rid of the ESSO sign! I'm glad to see Disney is making the investment on this property. Our room looks great, it seems like they first worked on all of the interior rooms. We just stayed at the Boardwalk Hotel, this two bedroom had the same contemporary feel. The Murphy Bed is similar to The Boardwalk, it's a great design. The question is, is it really a "Disney" hotel? I own points in Disney Vero Beach, Vero Beach is a true Disney hotel. Wanna know something? If I'm driving back to NY from a Disney Orlando Hotel, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is my next stop. Thank you Disney for investing in the property and giving it that Disney magic feel.

Staying at King Cotton in a 3 bedroom presidential. It's on the main property after you go through the guard entrance, on sea cloud circle. So relaxing. Very quiet and insulation kept it very quiet inside. Comfy beds and spacious. Beautiful property with lots of live oaks and Spanish moss and little march ponds with "don't feed the alligators" on each one. The first morning the coffee maker (fancy Cuisinart machine) wouldn't make coffee. Found the guest services number 843-869-4500, and a nice man (Jamie?) from inventory promptly brought us a new one. He then showed us how to press "carafe" then the "brew" button. He left the new one just in case! Then maintenance showed up as we had asked Jamie to call them about the light and fan above the stove not working. Very nice maintenance man showed up right after I had figured out the combination of switches they had installed to help the handicapped.....it is a modified unit to help the handicapped. He was very nice about it and showed me a safety trick with the garbage disposal. Anyway, great staff, got through the sales gauntlet in about 15 minutes.....and they did try hard. We were not on the gate list so had to go to office then back to gate. Owner needs to communicate Cart office CLOSES at 5:00. So no cart til next day. Check in 4:30. Others in group 2:00. air conditioning did not work. Freezer & frig would not seal so our items were not froze or cold. Maintenance brought portable. Figured out if we would hold the freezer refrigerator door shut at the same time they would stay shut & work. Doors open towards the wall so you could not tell they were opened. Just a tiny bit enough to not cool anything. Could not find sheets for the pullout couch. OWNER should have communicated where things were, cart shop closes at 5, no beach towels, extra TP There was none. Guest SERVICES told us you're on your own for that and if you need more toilet paper than the one Roll provided. You need to go buy. No Kleenexes. Then he had to come back again in the morning with his thermometer to make sure it was cooling and freezing as long as we physically shut the doors. It worked. I told him you need to put a big note on this or the next people are gonna have the exact same problem. We told GUEST SERVICES about all the problems and they made notes of everything to tell the owner. The refrigerator was tipped forward also instead of backwards. Not that that matter cause you still had to do it yourself. We had to tell guest SERVICES to tell the maintenance guy so she could make out another work order so he could actually look at it. I said well he's here right now. Can't he just look at it? Well, then she sent him a work order via his phone. Before he left, I said well he might as well Put in a work order for the front door too, you could see the sunlight right out the door it latched, and you could lock it, but it was very loose opening closing when it was locked so that needed to be fixed as well. I think it's ridiculous that there's a $200 cleaning fee and we have to bag our own garbage and take it out to the dumpster -really? There was a $40 " peace of mind" charge ‍ When we picked up the golf cart the next morning, we turned around and drove back and told them there's something wrong with this cart, It's way too loud. He said that's because it's a gas golf cart and they're all that loud. My friend said I have a Gas golf cart and it does not sound like this at all. He would not give us a different one so he left. A day and a half later we were driving to the beach to meet the rest of our friends from the wedding the night before and there is a huge noise and I thought we ran over something, the golf cart belt broke and was laying in the road. We called the business. They said they try and have somebody come out I said no you're sending somebody out right now, we have somewhere to be. So about 15 minutes later here he comes. He's backing it off the trailer and get stuck so we had to pull back on and then he went really fast backwards and the back end of it hit the dirt and dragged. I said if you broke that thing, we are not paying for it. My friend said we tried to tell you about this when we picked it up, but there was something wrong with it. He was very nice but we had to get going.. The wedding and reception was fabulous on the island. The weather was perfect, but we definitely felt. There is a huge lack of communication on the owners part. They need to put more information on their site pertaining to their rental property so there's no surprises. The groom told us about the last Walmart before you get to the island to stop and buy stuff to take with you because everything so expensive on the island. I had one piña colada at one of the swimming pools and it was $18. It was delicious now my friend ordered the rum punch and she could not drink it. It tasted so bad. I took a sip as well and it was awful so she ordered something else. Oh & when we got back from being outside, the rental was so hot inside. Well the hose from the portable air conditioner come off the air conditioner so all the vents warm air was just coming back into the room instead of going out the window so we had to call maintenance again. 709 Ocean Cottage

The beach is nice and has a lot of shells, although the water is brown and not aesthetically pleasing. Cons: The unit we had smelled musty as soon as we walked in. I have asthma and I began to struggle so we opened the glass doors to air it out. I had to stay outside for a while. The refrigerators were warm bc they had been turned off (a sign on the fridge said they had been cleaned and to be patient while they cool back down. Hm. I've cleaned my fridge without having to turn it off so that wasn't jiving). This was an issue bc we had groceries delivered before we arrived. It would've been so easy to turn them on a day or two before our arrival. They were also so old and the water dispenser didn't work. Update the appliances for goodness sake! There are very few amenities; very small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, one roll of paper towels etc. You are expected to buy all you need, including any spices for cooking. The beds were a bit hard and very flat pillows. We had a first floor unit and could hear the people above us walking around. The unit next to us had a patio full of dead plants (took up the whole area), a bucket w green standing water and an empty wine bottle. We didn't see anyone there the whole week. They should really clean that up. The QR system (which you need at the pool, restaurants and golf) was confusing to set up for the 6 of us that were there. I felt like I had to do homework just to go on vaca. All in all, it was okay but we will not return. Seabrook needs to pay attention to what makes a vacation worthwhile. To me, they do the bare minimum for their guests but the prices don't reflect that. We stayed at an Inn in Ohio of all places, and we had warm muffins at our door each morning, a bottle of wine and cheese plate each evening. Seabrook left a small empty bag that you could bring to the beach. I left it there.

They have a good, delicious cheese topped appetizer which was almost too much to eat for my wife and i. When the alternate server came out with the steak which was supposed to be medium rare, he asked me to cut into it in his presence. I was flustered and amazed that he would ask that but I did so and looked at it and said this is not medium rare (which is what I ordered but it was medium at best). Without a word he turned around and walked off. That in and of itself should make this a one-star review. Then eating the steak it was chewy to say the least and worse than I could stomach. Amazingly enough I did not finish my steak which I don't recall ever having done. For an expensive place like this I was shocked at the lack of service. Certainly the quality of the steak was way below average. Be careful if you go here, order an appetizer and nothing more--certainly no steak. I do not plan on ever going back.
