    First and last time using Avis ! I reserved the car through Breeze airlines and what a big mistake .. waited 40 minutes in line just to be told by customer service the car would be ready in 1-2 hours. Said to wait in the area and they would shout out our name when car ready. I have never experienced such lack of professionalism and courtesy from a business. I hope no one uses this rental Company.

    The worst AVIS location I've ever rented from (and there have been many, over the years). No AVIS Preferred desk, 12+ people in line to pick up cars, ridiculous wait tines, poor signage indicating where to go to get your car, hardly anyone working. Questioning my loyalty to AVIS over the last 25 years.

    Garbage location. Get car notification & assigned space only to find car not there. Walk all the way back as the preferred booth downstairs is closed. Get new vehicle, no apology of course, and make the trek back. Car is filthy as most are these days. One of the worst (if not the worst) companies to rent from these days. Sad it is my companies preferred rental car. Reward points are garbage as well.

    Prior to showing up in Louisville I had did the check in and what not to make things a bit more…read moreseamless for me. Then I showed up and followed the directions in the email saying to bypass the counter and head out to the Enterprise kiosk to hop in the vehicle and go. However, that did not go as planned. Myself, and several other customers all showed up to the kiosk in the garage and found it dark with no employees in it. Yes, it was early in the day, but other rental companies were lit up and buzzing with employees. We all stood there for about 5-10 minutes before one of the gentlemen in front of me went over to a competitors kiosk and found out we all needed to go over there to be processed out of the garage. See, there is a sign, not that big of a sign that points Enterprise customers here. But, if you bypass the counter inside the terminal and take the exit that lead right to the garage area for rentals, you come out at the Enterprise kiosk. Where was the sign posted, at the competitors kiosk, at another entrance to the area in the garage. Once we all migrated to the opened kiosk we were all led to vehicles to choose from. I hopped in the one I chose, made my way to the gate to be processed out. Rode around Louisville for the better part of a week and came back to return the vehicle. Brining the vehicle back was just as big a mess when leaving with it upon arrival. Pulling in to the return area almost instantly turns into a traffic jam. Vehicles pulling out are mixing with the vehicles coming in. I think they could redesign this area to make the traffic flow a bit better. People honking at you to move when you have nowhere to move yourself until the traffic moves ahead of you. Finally through the mess of traffic because no one knows what they are doing, I go down the return lane. Dropping the vehicle back off was much easier than taking the vehicle out. The staff are pretty amazing here. They go with the flow and make sure that you have everything you need. Upon arrival back to drop off the vehicle they make it as quick and painless as possible.

I have quite literally filed a lost claim, called customer service who said they forwarded the claim and situation to the branch manager, called this location, as well as two surrounding locations to get the branch managers email after they said there is no stagnant employees here and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. I emailed the branch manager, filed the claim with all of my info, and have went to enterprise/help with said info. I have heard nothing. It has been almost two weeks. I am so disheartened and frustrated. If you have something you love and leave it behind here, do NOT expect to get it back. Edit to add: I have ALREADY filled out the enterprise help and called customer service directly. Check your lost and found claims!!!

When I went to…read morethe garage, it was just a short line to be presented with the option of luxury rental cars. They had an Audi A4, an Audi A5, an Audi A6 and a convertible for extra charge. I went with the A5 because it was a white car and the others were black. The car had been washed, but there was some bird poop on the back window and a lot of water stains on the windows and the mirrors. Inside, black leather, and carpet was clean. I did find someone's hotel membership card but otherwise no trash. The car itself is OK. I did not like the shiny parts of the gear shifter, as the sun was reflecting off of that into my face. The car had a lot of seat controls and personalization, so I can see why people like this car. They did not buy the navigation package, so I only used the fancy screen for the radio. I did appreciate the moonroof And the lane assistance. I would not recommend driving this car in D mode but rather S mode which is sport mode. D Mode is boring and slow. The car takes premium gas, which is kind of pricey these days. I didn't realize the gas tank was not full until I had arrived at my destination. Luckily, national had reached out to me by text message just to confirm that my rental was going smoothly. I responded about the gas situation and they Gave me a $15 credit on my rental! I did not expect that at all. I was impressed by their customer service. I would rent with national again. When I turned the car in, I received an email confirmation which reflected the credit and the price was correct. Pretty seamless rental. Thank you national!

However, the employee changed my reservation to 8:30 a.m. on February 17th for pickup and 7:30 a.m. on February 18th for return--an entirely different day than what I requested. When I called back to correct the mistake, I was told the original price could no longer be honored and that the cost for the correct dates and times had nearly tripled. This error was not mine, yet I am now being penalized for it. Because of this, I've been left without a rental car and have had to rely on Uber to get around Louisville. This has been both inconvenient and unnecessarily stressful.

Why is it so hard to rent a vehicle?…read more By the time I left this Budget location, I'd spent more money than it cost to fly me to and from Denver from Chicago. After my good experience (relatively) at the O'Hare Budget, I sauntered into the Budget at SF to collect my car and be on my way. Hold up. My upgrade cost 3 times more than it did in Chicago. My tax was more than Chicago (wha?). My upgrade vehicle was a RAV-4 that was pretty unstable. I asked for a trusty Hyndai Elantra. Nothin' doin'. I got the RAV-4, had to fill it up during the trip, couldn't drive past a certain speed lest I weeble wobble (I had a couple of very scary moments on empty, windy stretches of I-65 N in this car), I was given inaccurate insurance information when I picked the car up, and I was late for almost everything I needed to do upon my triumphant return to Chicago. Not.pleased. Again, I got from point A to point B, but it wasn't as easy to do so as my trip to Louisville (In itself, no cakewalk). Note to self: get my car fixed and don't rely on car rentals anymore. It's exhausting being a victim. Sheesh.

They didn't have our category and downgraded us. No call. We brought the car back 1 1/2 hrs early and they said there was a penalty of $307. For 1 1/2 hrs!!!!!!!!!!! I called because the difference from what we paid and what the cost of the other car. I was going to give her another card because the card they were going to put back on we had to close and they said they would have to put on the amount we prepaid on that car to give us what she said would only be $52. I told her no. I asked for a check she said no. Will never use them again. BEWARE if you rent from them
