With the conversion rate of the dollar, I justify my outlandish shopping there. Without a conversion.... well that might be a different story. Then again it is also about knowing what you want and where to get it. But I use Macro in both Akmerkez and Kurucesme for my one stop shopping needs, and it will continue to stay that way! ps. The spice market is not big but the surrounding market is a big extension to the market. The best and premium items in the bazaar. The surrounding market vendor gives you bargains with price on the outside. We got the turkey coffee on the outside market. Even the Turkish delight is cheaper at outside.
