Rooms and beds are comfortable and many have private decks. Tea and cookies always available. The most wonderful thing is that a big thermos of coffee is brought up into hallway in early morning for self serve. How great is that? No getting dressed! Outstanding ample breakfast each day featuring top notch very fresh and innovative breakfast items. A station with granola, fresh breads, croissants, biscuits and homemade jams starts one off. Then a hot item of astonishing quality. Dietary restrictions accommodated. Cannot wait to return next year!

Kevin got back to me immediately and replied to my inquiry and we quickly and efficiently arranged everything. My friend and I arrived a bit earlier than we'd initially indicated, but both Kevin and Kim were welcoming and helpful. We were shown to a reasonable sized room on the second floor and all necessary amenities were explained to us. The decor of the place wasn't really my cup of tea, but the room was clean and cozy, so I can put aside my own personal aesthetic. The private bathroom was a decent size and well laid out. The bed was a wee bit smaller than I'd imagined, but it was very comfortable. My favourite part of my stay though hands down had to be my breakfast! Because Kevin and Kim knew we had an early start, they got breakfast going extra early for us. We started with freshly baked croissants, lemon poppy seed cake, and assorted fresh berries. DEELISH! Then we had poached eggs with hollandaise sauce with heirloom tomato on a wonderfully salty rosti. SO SO GOOD!!! The eggs were cooked to perfection and the splash of pesto on the tomato added a perfect kick. I was in heaven. I love coming to Stratford to see the theatre. Next year, I am totally coming back here, but I am going to make sure that I have dinner at the Old Rectory too!

I stayed in the Polly Kelly Suite which was perfect for me since I love to have my coffee outdoors in the morning. The little balcony just through the French doors was ideal for this. The bed was comfortable and I loved that the room was equipped with a little bar fridge, a Keurig single serve coffee machine, wine glasses and a corkscrew. The location was close to everything and anywhere that I walked was welcome exercise full of beautiful scenery. Tony and Laura are wonderful hosts and all-around lovely people. Laura's breakfast was incredibly delicious and Tony's hospitable conversation could not be beat. The separate dining tables are a special touch because they allow privacy for the guest who prefers it, but they are close enough together to allow convivial conversation amongst others who want to chat. I booked through Booking.com which was easy and convenient. The owners of the B & B were extremely welcoming and gracious. The decorum is absolutely lovely and tastefully done. Comfy chic meets Victorian style. The house is a Victorian style home with up to date inviting furniture. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with extremely comfortable beds and bedding. Each room had their own bathroom with all modern amenities and wonderful fluffy towels. It felt like home away from home. After a wonderful sleep, we had the most delicious breakfast served. The fruit plate was presented like a piece of art. So fresh and tasty. Followed by another artfully plated egg frittata. The owners, Anthony and Laura are absolutely lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. I will absolutely be staying here again and not just for Theatre reasons. Our room faced the road and it felt like we were downtown Toronto. Besides the road noises, the beds were too short and rooms tiny with no space for even a table. The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors talk, cough, sneeze, snore, etc. like they're right next to you. Definitely not the Stratford experience we expected and we were glad to leave after four days.

Incredibly delicious, something different every day. Pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful...what else could you want as hosts? The Hall is situated perfectly for a nice walk to the theatres, there's really nothing else you could ask for. I would not hesitate to come back here next time we're in Stratford.
