I had ordered a portable toilet for our outside surprise wedding. Kris was wonderful to work with originally. The day of the wedding, the delivery company arrived but wouldn't deliver the toilet where we wanted it (down a slight hill in our back yard) because it would be too difficult for them to bring it back up the hill. What??? They were going to leave it in the driveway in front of the garage. My to-be husband called me up since I wasn't there and I said there was NO WAY I wanted a toilet in front of our house! I called Kris and he apologized. He said he's never had an issue with any of his delivery companies like this before. He told me not to worry, that there wasn't going to be a charge to my credit card, and he apologized again for our not having the portable toilet for our party. None of that was the fault of Arwood. However, there WAS a charge on the credit card which I tried getting resolved quite a number of times with telephone call after telephone call. I kept hearing that it was going to be taken care of; oops! there was an issue with the computers during that time and that's why the charge went through; sorry it wasn't taken care of yet, but it will be taken care of if you'll just give it a couple days to go through, blah, blah, blah. After several months of this, my husband and I finally had to file a complaint with our credit card company in order to get our refund. Rented a 10 day dumpster rental from Arwood Waste...I was told the small dumpster would cost $179 plus taxes and fees...Total around $200. After the 10 days...no one came to pick up dumpster...called daily, sent e-mails....had to "chase" this company down to pick up their own equipment. Arwood waste charged me $600.00 dollars for this small dumpster. They "refused" to return my $400.00 deposit. I disputed the charge for my $400 security deposit on dumpster. The credit card company "charged back" Arwood Waste for the security deposit...because company does not "bother" with picking up their own equipment on the scheduled date per our contract. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau....Arwood Waste "retaliated" by placing a "frivolous" Mechanic's lien on my property for $1,061.86. No Explanation of these crazy charges.....Horrible Bookkeeping..... I now have hired an "attorney to address this".....Seriously, how a $179 dumpster rental went to $1,061.86 is a mystery to me....This company engages in Unfair Business Practices.....Overcharges, Over Bills, and never ever returns phone calls regarding billing issues.....Please...If you have been charged double and triple the original price for dumpster, garbage, or portable toilet rental....Please file a complaint with the BBB. They emailed me a confirmation and then another email that we were on the schedule email, HOWEVER they never showed up. I left several messages and emails no return calls. On the following Monday I called and they told me they didn't service my area and thats why they did not show up. I place an order for a porta potty for an event. They sent me a confirmation and contract. All looked good but two days before the event I get a text message that they oversold and would not charge my credit card! They continued to send emails confirming delivery but I was told to ignore the emails. Not worth your time or the frustration. Emails continued to come 3 days after the event. The absolute worst waste removal company on this planet. I dont even know where to begin. First off Ed Driggers, who is in charge of overseeing our property, does not answer phone calls or texts, has no clue what he is doing, never follows up with anything ever, and simply is incompetent. I am the property manager for Arrowood at Bartram Park and made a change over to Arwood from Advanced Disposal as I didnt think it could get any worse. Well it has. Completely worse... We have had a roll off on the property for over 2 weeks now because the compactor broke down. It is still at their shop and the roll off last week was filled up and garbage everywhere for over 3 days. Then when they finally came to pick up they didnt clean up any of the garbage overflow that was caused by Ed Driggers incompetence. We had to hire an extra person to go out to clean up the job we pay them for. Well now the compactor is still not fixed, and the roll off has been overflowing for another 3+ days and garbage is everywhere. Despite my phone calls to Ed Driggers, he still wont call me back or pick up the phone. What does this guy do there? I have had multiple other major issues with them too. The best is when we first hired them, they ended up cutting off our service due to non-payment. The funny part about it is when I called and told them we never received a bill for the first month they told me they were sending the bills to somewhere in Georgia. Georgia!! Where they got that address no one knows but they didnt apologize and we had to rush a check over to them for their incompetence. The only reason we stayed with them is because National Waste Solutions setup a meeting between the owner John Arwood and a guy named Ed Moseley. We agreed to continue our service as long as Ed Moseley oversaw our property and not Ed "idiot" Driggers. That last all but a few months (the few months we didnt have issues), then the issues started back up again and I found out why... Ed Driggers was.back overseeing our property.. What a coincidence. John Arwood if you read this (probably not), do your company a favor and fire Ed Driggers because we are getting ready to send in our Letter of Termination for non-performance. This company is unethical. They have repeatedly tried to charge my credit card for services I never received. "Staff is rude, unprofessional and accusatory. I had to check with Florida Secretary of State to make sure they were a real company. Now I have received a notice of their intention for file a lien notice, threatening to levy money from my construction company. I DO NOT have, nor have I ever had a construction company. The number listed on their correspondence goes straight to voicemail. When I tried to contact Arwood Waste's 'corporate office' to speak with someone in John Arwood's office (the listed owner), I was told "he never actually comes to the office" and although I was promised a call back, it never happened. At this point I feel I'm being harassed and will probably have to seek a legal recourse to get these people to leave me alone. Maybe I'll start with the Jacksonville Better Business Bureau. I order portable toilets for a 7/28/18 event. I canceled by telephone two days before the event on 7/26, and the representative handling my cancellation was courteous, asking me to keep their company in mind if I needed their services in the future. The next day 7/27, I received a phone call from a person who was trying to deliver the toilets to the event location. I told him I'd canceled my order and he apologized for any confusion. Two weeks later I started receiving emails and phone from Arwood saying I owed them for the services. I thought it was an error that could be easily fixed but when I called to straighten things out I was met with a level of rudeness and unprofessionalism I never before experienced when dealing with a business. After I explained that I'd canceled the services and should not have been charged, the Arwood representative called me a liar and said that I absolutely did not cancel because their was no cancellation order. I have called their offices of several occasions hoping to finally reach someone with good customer service and problem solving skills but the experience gets worse every time. Yesterday I received an invoice by mail stating that I now owe them twice the amount of the original order. I am also being threatened with a lien. My assurance that I absolutely did cancel my order the day before the driver attempted delivery fell on deaf ears. Arwood reps rudeness and accusations are now bordering on threats and extortion. When I located a telephone number that was listed as owner John Arwood's office I was told "he never comes in to this office". The person answering the phone promised to have a manager call me back - to no avail. On a side note: The purpose event I originally ordered the toilets for was to honor my grandson, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver last year. I wish I had called them first, but I didn't know they did bins, thought only our normal trash pick up. Arwood insisted that they had local vendors they work with in Massachusetts. I gave them my credit card and marked the area to drop, packed up two rooms to move into the trailer. We ordered a portable restroom for an event a week in advance and received confirmation that it would be delivered the day prior to our event. When that did not happen, we called the company who said they would figure out what happened and call us back. 24 hours and 10 phone calls later, the port-a-john was never delivered and we were left without facilities for our 75+ guests in a rural setting. Out of the 10 or so people that I spoke with on the phone, only one customer service rep apologized and the rest were completely indifferent to our situation. I wish I had read the reviews first. This company's business practices and customer service are a joke. They are NOT a local company unless you live in Jacksonville FL. They are a clearing house type business that contracts with local businesses to provide the service, then doubles the cost to the customer. The worst part is, the information given to their "sister company" is incorrect. We requested a portapottie to be delivered on a certain date. The date arrived, no portapottie. Called, were told they would check into the problem and would call back. No call back. Called again, same thing and same result. Called again, were told to stop calling as it could be delivered any time between 7am and 7pm. You guessed it, 7pm still no portapottie. Called, no answer. Called in the morning, was given the same runaround as previous day. Called again, started to give me the same bs so I asked to speak to a manager. I was told they could not transfer a call to another line. lol I asked again to speak to a manager, persistence can work. Deb (the manager) came on the line and said she had not been able to get in touch with the "sister company" and she would call me back...I asked her for the name of the "sister company" so I could attempt to call them myself. Her response. If I can't get them using 800 numbers, cell numbers, all their numbers, what makes you think you can get them. And anyway, I can't give that information out, it is against company policies. The only option I was given was to wait for another call back. Next conversation, delivery will be withing 2 hours. Used google while waiting, found out a lot about this company. Also found the name of a local company and gave them a call to get an estimate for next year. Waited 2 1/2 hours, No delivery. Called back, was told Deb was in another building and they could not reach her, wanted me to wait again. Second verse, same as the first. Finally got the call that the driver would be another 20 minutes due to "traffic". I told her I would call her back in 20 and called my husband (at the venue). We discussed the estimate given by the local company and he wanted me to call them again to find out if they might have a portapottie available for now just in case it did not show up and to call and cancel the one from Arwood if it did not. It turned out that the gentleman I was asking was actually the person who was trying to deliver the unit. He was given the wrong set up date by Arwood. We called them last month, they called him 4 days ago....with the wrong date. Needless to say, my husband made sure he knew the correct day for removal, just in case Arwood had given him the wrong date for that as well. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. FIND SOMEONE LOCAL AND GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. ARWOOD WILL TRY TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE ANY MISTAKE IS ON YOUR PART AND NOT THEIRS. Ordered a portapotty from these guys for a family reunion and when it didn't show up on time we called and was informed that it was on it's way. It never showed during the family reunion and I had to watch my dear old grandmother tinkle in the woods like a filthy filthy animal. It showed up the next day...Too little too late. But I'm the type of guy that likes to get his money's worth so I had to at least use the thing once. I went in there to drop the Cleveland Browns off at spring training, if you catch my meaning, and it was filthy. There was gunked up feces sloshing around like Dollar Tree fudge pudding at the bottom of this supposedly clean facility. It smelled like the parking lot a Jimmy Buffet show. The worst of it was that when I sat down, I heard the telltale sign of plastic beginning to snap, and then it happened. The seat completely gave way and fell down into the layer of viscous waste below taking me with it. I was covered in the end result of an unknown number of stranger's digestive problems and now I have a scat fetish. I will not use their services ever again. read more

We did not realize this was not a local business, but a national contractor. The website (http://www.portabletoiletrentalsouthportland.com/2016/06/30/safety-first-arwood-waste/) had a local address which suggested they had a Maine office. On the Monday before our Saturday wedding, they emailed to say the units we had booked (flushable portapotties with sinks) were not available due to damage at a previous rental. They offered us a different unit and appeared to have no understanding of why this was a problem. Phone calls were a nightmare, routed through the corporate office, calls were not returned, emails answered with boilerplate. When I asked to speak with the local Maine office, I discovered there wasn't one and that the calls were routed to Florida. They basically told us to take or leave the substitute that they were offering, with no evidence of having tried to provide the level of porta-potty we had ordered from other vendors. Oh and the ones they gave us- sinks didnt work. When we took delivery (a day after scheduled and again with poor communications) we finally met the local contractor who could not have been more helpful and sympathetic, but who was stunned to hear that we were expecting removal on the following Monday, which had not been communicated to him by Arwood. When my father needed to move on the other side of the country from his large home to a small senior apartment I had to manage the move via web and phone. We needed a dumpster and found Arwood Waste on the web. Little did we know that they were not a local company in New York and their practices were shady and deceptive. They made a large charge to our credit card right off the bat, promising to refund the excess promptly once the amount of waste was known. But we encountered problem after problem. They didn't pick the dumpster up when they were supposed to. Then we had to wait to find out the charges because they were dealing with a subcontractor in that area. And then the real hassles began. I was told the amount it had cost, with the difference promised to be refunded. And we waited. It took numerous phone calls , about three months, and a message directly to the owner via social media (after which he promptly blocked us from contact there) before we got the refund. And then it was not as much as we were expecting because there was a base charge of some sort they hadn't mentioned in the original order. It seems they had told me the wrong amount at the start. So in the end it would have been cheaper to use a different company after all, and I'm sure we would have had better service! read more

I believe her name was Linda and she then tells me they aren't coming they overbooked the weekend. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! DOES THIS COMPANY EVEN HAVE 1 POSITIVE OR MEDIOCRE REVIEW? Our parents suffered a devastating house flood in June 2016. Arwood Waste agreed to deliver a portable type storage unit with a set price of $800 to store their items while we gutted the house. We continue to have copies of all emails and correspondence from "Jamie" at Arwood. Our credit card was billed the first week of July for $800 and the unit was picked up on the agreed upon date. We thought nothing more of the issue. THEN, in December 2016, 5 months later, we received emails stating we owed upwards of $1700+ as the unit had not been picked up, interest, delivery fees, pick up fees etc etc. We requested copies of invoices and every invoice had different dollar amounts. Not one invoice reflected our $800 payment. I compiled all of our documents and sent to the Office Manager, Deb Robinson, only to be told we owe money and will be sent to collections. We contacted the Attorney General's office to assist in investigating possible flood victim fraud and suddenly we only owed an additional $400+ (in addition to the agreed upon $800 flat fee already paid in July) and they were finally able to determine the unit had been picked up as agreed. Again, I requested correspondence outlining the invoices and have received nothing. We have left upwards of 10+ emails/voicemails with no return calls. I contacted Arwood Waste for a roofing project we have that will require rental of a roll off. I provided Lea their customer service representative, with the name and address of our project and received a quote from one of the owners John Arwood. I then noticed they also handled portable restrooms and requested a quote for that as well. I thought how great is that 2 birds one stone. I then provided them with our credit card information to schedule our deliveries. Then today I received a call from a customer service representative, who proceeded to tell me that the quoted price was incorrect and that Lea was new and made and error. I politely asked, how this was now my problem as our price quoted, had been quoted to our customer. She stated "she would speak with John and have him get back to me" I then received a call from Lea instead of John, telling me that this was now somehow my fault for not providing her with the closest city located to our job, REALLY? I provided her with the name address and zip code for the project. From the other reviews on this page this looks like standard practice from Arwood Waste. I sent John an email to cancel both of our orders and he simply complied with ok they are canceled. Guess from the other reviews they are used to this and don't really care about reviews. I ordered a roll-off dumpster for a week in January 2014. Paid a $297.00 fee up front for the dumpster. They subcontracted the work. Six months later I received a bill for fuel cost and other addditional fees. I paid it with the agreememnt that it was a final payment for all services related to my one time dumpster rental that I only had for 1 week in January. My credit card was stolen which turned out to be a blessing in disquise because Arwood had attempted to to get even more money from me. They now claim I owe over $1200.00 for some unexplained sevices. They have added interest and now claim I will be turned over to a collection agency. At this point I am carrying everything to a lwayer and letting them deal with it. I am tired of the harrassment. I would never do business with this company and wish I had known about their bad reputation in advance. By the way, I ordered from the Jacksonville office and have received E-mails from a John Arwood regarding my deliquent account. This is second time using this company. Our regular company does not operate in Palm Coast. The first time they delivered on time without issue. However, They took 7 days to pick the dumpster back up. It was sitting in the driveway of a vacant house in a neighborhood as an eye sore and a new dump spot for the neighbors! This time they delivered the wrong size container. I called, they assured me they would take care of it immediately. They finally picked up the first dumpster and dropped off another but didn't call to let me know they did so. I loaded the new dumpster last Tuesday called them immediately asking them to pick it back up. They said they would "red flag" it...a term they like to throw around which apparently means throw it away and take their time picking it up. I am not one to write reviews or rate something but I need to give credit to a very hard working man. Back in September I ordered a Porta Potty and Dumpster for the company I work for. Aaron helped me with my initial order. Long story short (very long story, not unlike some that I have read here in the review section) there were quite a few problems along the way. I left over 10 messages just in the last part of December alone. The ladies in the office NEVER once called me back or sent an email. They blew me off the 2 times I did speak with someone. One time I even asked if I could speak with Aaron again only to be told he doesn't work in accounting and couldn't help me! Well after another charge was emailed to us this morning I called again! No answer, just voicemail. This morning I also called Aarons number and left a message. In less than an hour he called me back. He listened to my long drawn out story, went over all the pertinent information (never rushing me) and said he would call me back. Less than a half hour later he called back to say he had straightened out the Dumpster issue, he also said he was waiting for a call back on the Porta Potty and would get back to me. Within minutes he called back and had that problem solved to!! I don't know what is going on in that company but you need more Aaron's. He never spoke down to me, never cut me off, just listened and took action. Aaron is the only reason I would ever consider doing business with this company again!! read more
