My previous experience with recruiting firms in the finance/technology space was dismal, consisting…read moreof rushed conversations with recruiters that were mostly interested in pushing as many candidates into as many interviews as possible. I felt this both as a hiring manager and also when it came time to find a new opportunity myself, so more or less wrote off the entire industry as a hustle. Grady Levkov is *not* that type of firm at all and the fact that I'm compelled to write a review for a recruiting firm hopefully demonstrates what an outlier I feel they are in the industry. From my first conversation with Josh Levkov, which lasted over an hour (approximately 59 minutes longer than most conversations with recruiters), I knew that something different was going on. He took the time to actually digest my background, ask a lot of questions about my goals, and, most importantly, not try to sell me on a specific opportunity or agenda. Once I agreed to meet a very elite and targeted group of companies, I quickly learned that the executives there also had a positive bias towards Grady Levkov, presumably because of successful placements in the past (including themselves). Ultimately, I ended up with a perfect opportunity and am 100% convinced that it would not have have happened if I went with another recruiting firm or, worse, a random assortment of cold-calling recruiters. Throughout the process, whether my interviews went well or poorly, I was treated with a lot of respect and honesty. There was constant communication each step of the way from both Josh and his team, and even after my offer was signed, follow-up calls to ensure that everyone was happy with the fit. The experience was such a positive one that I will now *only* use Grady Levkov in the future when conducting my own candidate searches. To me, they are a "throwback" type of firm, embodying the idea that good people need good people to find good people. Hopefully this review will save others the time of looking elsewhere.
