Paid the $265 for initial apt and met with Dr. Axe this afternoon. He didn't do anything other than tell me that I needed to pay for a $380 GI Map test and then informed me that there are 3 treatment plan options. The lowest treatment plan is $3,400. Second treatment plan is $4300. Third one was even more expensive. They don't allow you to just pay for appointments as you need them. None of this information is online. You literally get tricked into paying the initial apt fee then are told AFTER that it's going to cost you 4 grand to get better. You guys need to be transparent with pricing BEFORE taking peoples money. Be better.

Feeling ambivalent about writing this review, as the positive side was having the best acupuncture…read moredoctor I have ever had, Dr. Xu, whom I will miss dearly. Nevertheless, I feel the need to open your eyes and make you aware of the following: Lisa, from billing, has tried charging me for services aside from acupuncture four times. She continues to send my insurance additional billing codes that required co-pays when my treatments are 100% covered. To make matters worse, she sent me an invoice on Monday, 9/15/25 asking me to pay $30.00 for my upcoming acupuncture treatment scheduled for Wednesday, 9/17/25. Without receiving the service, Lisa was already charging me. I have been vocal and assertive about these unexpected charges unsuccessfully. Amber, staff member, dared to cancel my upcoming appointment without my consent after speaking to me on Monday about the invoice received. At 71 y/o, I avoid conflicts if I can, but dealing with some of the staff members in this clinic can be challenging. The clinic is expected to be about relaxation, yet, they have a toxic environment among their staff. I am not aware that the owner, Dr. Ron Shemesh, knows how his staff members are treating customers, but he will find out sooner rather than later. I am tired of receiving bogus charges because each time they send me an invoice, my blood pressure raises very high. I've decided to not go back because my health is more important and I don't want to experience stress and/or anxiety at a place that claims to be about mind, body and spirit. Thank you, and I hope, this review will serve to open eyes because that is my intention. Linda G. Rodriguez, M.S.W.

A year and a half ago I had a car accident that robbed me of my ability to run due to torn muscles…read morein my mid back region. I would have debilitating headaches and it hurt to stand or sit for more than a few minutes at a time. About six months ago I was being treated by someone in Springfield, MO, who had trained under the owners of this clinic and it was like magic. All the sudden the muscle pain had disappeared. Then I moved. After moving, I struggled to sleep and work because of the headaches, and my muscles would not release. I found this clinic and after about two months of treatment, about 6 visits, I am sleeping well, running again and headaches are minimal. This is a technique that requires no evasive actions or surgeries, and can work wonders to help you to function better than normal again.

I have been treated by Flo Hancock for several years now, and I can recommend this clinic…read morewholeheartedly. I have had migraines all of my adult life, and Flo and her husband have developed (or trained by the people who developed) a type of therapy that works when nothing else would. As the other reviewer said, it's noninvasive, and nonsurgical, and it works wonders. I can't explain exactly how it works, I just know that it does work. My mom has also been treated by Flo for years. She has had migraines, muscle pain, and joint pain for most of her life. She says that she now feels like a different person. My brother was treated by "Doc" Hancock, for muscle and joint pain, and Doc was able to fix the pain in just a few visits. The clinic itself is unassuming, but clean and well-run. Darlene, the receptionist, is a real sweet heart. Flo and Doc are good, kind people, and they do their best to help people who live with pain. And to top it off, their prices are reasonable. If you have a pain condition and haven't had any success with other therapies, I highly recommend Hancock Holistic.

First time I've tried acupuncture, and I have to admit it, I'm sold. I had always put it off…read morebecause I didn't want the cost associated with having to pay for multiple visits, but this "community" setting has won me over. The first visit you get a tour along with learning the rules and regulations. After that, you're on your own. You walk in (either with or without an appointment), pay at the pay station - and you set the amount you want to pay - then take a seat in one of the recliners. Okay, this part is a bit odd; you are in a massive dimly lit room with calming new age music playing. After you take a seat, the acupuncturist on duty that day comes over, quizzes you about your issues, then proceeds to place needed in your arms, hands, legs, feet, ears, and/or head. It does not hurt - there is mostly just a pressure, if you feel anything at all. This community environment, instead of having individual cubicles or offices, is what enables them to keep the prices so low. So, while you may hear snoring, coughing, whispering, etc. you are paying a lot less then you would at many offices.

Why 3 stars? Because I suppose acupuncture just isn't for me…read more --- --- --- First of all, I will say this - if acupuncture IS your thing, I fully support the mission of this center. They have a "pay what you can" policy that places all each session between $15-$40 and it's totally up to the client what amount they would like to pay within that range. Plus, my interactions with the woman at the front desk and the therapist were very pleasant. If I were ever to have acupuncture done again, I would come right back here. My rating is more about the service itself, and might be more of an indictment on acupuncture as a whole, rather than the business. I've had lower back and hip pain for years. I've tried everything under the sun to mitigate this pain, but nothing has worked. I recently asked my physical therapist if he thought acupuncture would be helpful and he suggested that it was worth a shot. I saw the phenomenal reviews for this studio, so it was pretty obvious where I'd be going for my first experience. Booking my appointment online was super easy, and I was able to get something that was only about an hour or so later from when I actually made the appointment. When I arrived, I was given new patient paperwork and was kicking myself when I read that headphones could be used, because I didn't even think to bring mine. However, before I was sent back for treatment, I was asked to please turn my phone completely off before leaving the lobby, so I'm not sure how one would listen to headphones when their phone isn't allowed to be one. Either way, this was not a huge issue. I received a brief tour of the facility and then was shown to my chair. I was asked to remove my shoes, socks, watch and everything in my pockets. The recliner I was asked to sit in was incredibly comfortable - that was probably my favorite part of the entire experience. When the acupuncturist came by, he asked me where my ailments were. He then gave me a quick overview of what to expect and then began poking me with the needles. He mentioned that he would be poking me all over my body, but I didn't expect zero attention to be given to my actual problem areas. He poked my hands, my arm, my head and my ankles. A few of the needles hurt going in and a few others would hurt pretty badly if I even moved a small amount. Sitting still for about 45 minutes was virtually impossible, so I had quite a few instances of accidentally moving the needles into some pretty painful positions, on accident. Eventually the acupuncturist came by to remove the needles. He asked me if I felt better. It made me laugh because it just didn't seem possible that my chronic pain of 2 years could actually dissolve after tiny needles were inserted into random parts of my body. I felt comfortable and relaxed due to the delightful chair and peaceful music that was being played, but of course it was a zero in terms of helping my pain. Does acupuncture actually work for certain problems and certain people. I'm sure. But for me and this issue, it's just not for me.

Trust me, I tested a lot with Dr. Pav before deciding to undergo treatment with her. She is more knowledgeable than even specialists in some cases, and staff here are nice! Due to my L3-L4, L4-L5, and L5-S1 issues, I wasn't able to sit for even one hour without experiencing 10/10 pain. I already had constant 4/10 pain from L3-S1 whenever I sat, which increased the longer I remained seated. On top of that, I sometimes experienced immediate sharp pain after long periods of sitting or certain movements, as the nerves around L3-L4 would get poked due to Cauda Equina involvement. After 32 sessions focusing on L3-L4, I can now sit about 2 hours and perform daily activities more easily than before. But note: this is a journey, not an instant fix. No doctor can make you 100% again after a herniated or damaged disc. You will still have limitations even after many treatments, but my life feels a little more hopeful now. I still have 24 sessions for my L5-S1 and 24 sessions for my neck. Hopefully, I will be able to sit for 3 hours after that. I believe this is a realistic goal considering my condition because there are surgeons who are saying I should do a surgery but it could also do more harm than good due to my young age.

Dr. Pav immediately recognized that the issue wasn't just in my lower back--it was originating from tension running all the way from my neck down. She performed a full‑body treatment, and the relief was almost immediate. She also incorporated the stretcher machine, leg compression system, and electrical stimulation, all of which made a noticeable difference. I only wish I lived locally, because this would absolutely be my weekly chiropractic home. Highly recommended.

I…read moreunderstand that seeking support in addressing mental health challenges is deeply personal and varies widely from person to person. I also understand that many people don't seek help because of a real or imagined social stigma to doing so. However, I believe it's important for all of us to share reliable resources that may be helpful to others in need of emotional healing or support. I chose the Holistic Mental Health Clinic as a resource for emotional healing, particularly in the area of post-traumatic stress. I was hesitant to make an appointment anywhere, and I am fortunate that I chose this clinic. The clinic provides a professional and safe environment in a medium-sized office building located in St Peterburg, Florida. It is located in a partly-residential area of the city on a main street where parking is not a problem. There is a dedicated parking lot next to the building that offers free parking. My experience at this clinic was rewarding. My counselor, Lynn, was very professional, intelligent, capable, thorough, and caring. I found Lynn to be reliable, dependable, well-grounded, and honest at all times. Lynn added professional guidance and value to my healing process and she taught me coping skills that were proven, balanced and effective. Lynn was never judgmental. She always had my best interests as her primary objective. Lynn never promised unrealistic expectations, and she skillfully facilitated my healing process emotionally, physically, and spiritually by offering insightful and proven strategies that I could adapt to my lifestyle. Although Lynn was an essential part of my healing process for whom I will always be extremely grateful, the professional relationship we had between us was based on self-empowerment and mutual cooperation, not dependence. She presented opportunities for healing and learning, but never encouraged me to do more than I was comfortable doing. She identified challenge areas that I had not seen, and gently but confidently encouraged me to push through areas of discomfort and challenge myself when I felt ready. As far as my expectations as to outcome, Lynn created mutually agreed upon goals for my sessions, clarifying both health-related and cost-related expectations. She never cut my sessions short. All my expectations were either met to my satisfaction or exceeded. My health insurance does not cover counseling, but my overall spiritual, emotional and physical well-being is something that I value and I juggled my budget to afford this investment in myself. I have never regretted that I did so and the results I experienced were both impressive and have been on-going. The clinic was at all times transparent in its billing practices, accepted credit cards as payment, and accommodated my scheduling and budget concerns to the extent it could do so. Like many professional organizations that are entirely service-based for individuals, this clinic similarly charges for "no show" appointments. I never had the impression that fees were more important than my well-being. I recommend this clinic for anyone experiencing a mental health challenge and I encourage you to set up an initial consultation. However, whether it will be a good fit for you -- or right for you at this time in your life -- is something you and someone at the clinic will need to determine (you should ask what the rate for an initial consultation would be in advance ). Best wishes to you, and God bless.
