I knew I shouldn't be so uncomfortable in my own body at such a young age. I was referred to Dr. Springer by a former colleague and completely entrusted him with my care without the slightest bit of knowledge on muscle testing - it changed my life. The supplementation he programmed for me transformed my body and brain in a matter of 3 months. There's still work to be done, but in just 3 months he fixed my stomach problems, gave me energy again (no caffeine necessary), and lowered the inflammation all over my body. My anxiety has lowered, I'm sleeping better, and I'm not panicked about eating out at restaurants with a fear of pain and discomfort after. The caveat? It's expensive. And it's a real time commitment too. Insurance doesn't view functional medicine and their natural supplementation as traditional and it's not covered. It's an investment to health and personal development. Plus, you have to put in the work and be intentional with the diet regime and supplements. I truly believe it's worth it, but it breaks my heart how inaccessible this care is to the majority of the population. Dr. Springer's focus on root cause rather than masking symptoms and side effects is life changing.

However, communication with the staff to get appointments has been very problematic at times. Very inconsistent staff help. Customer service has decreased over the six year period, and their acceptance of certain types of insurance is not good. Unfortunately, Dr. Springer will likely retire in the near future and he was the person that helped me the most. I have started looking for another office with multiple helpful Doctors.

I had previously been misinformed by three reputable dermatologists who told me I had an autoimmune condition with no known cure. By the grace of God and in a moment of desperation, I came across Dr. Duke. Given his exceptional reviews, I decided to schedule an appointment. Dr. Duke was confident in his approach and, after conducting some research, was able to provide an accurate diagnosis and begin treatment. Within three months, the condition had completely resolved. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Duke. Since then, my entire family and many of my friends have become patients at his practice. He has even provided a consultation to a friend living overseas.

I didn't make the appointment in the first place. I was also told by Dr. Duke that he was going to sign HIPAA consent forms on my behalf (never saw them and I don't think that's even legal). Ridiculous place! Original review: The initial visit is $350, which I think is excessive. I didn't know the price until I showed up. I paid anyway, and Dr. Duke spoke for about an hour. If I get follow-up and see improvement, I'll update my review.

I don't typically write reviews, but when something truly stands out, I believe it's important to…read moreshare awareness where it's due and the Utopia Cancer and Wellness Center deserves recognition. This facility has helped countless individuals and operates with an unwavering commitment to its patients, creating an environment of genuine care and understanding. First off, let me be clear: Utopia isn't about flashy promises or claiming to be miracle workers. Healing isn't easy or instant, and that's something Utopia openly communicates. What they are is a team of knowledgeable and compassionate professionals who shift the focus away from conventional approaches that sometimes feel impersonal, toward holistic health strategies that make a lasting impact. Being successful here or in any health journey means more than just paying thousands of dollars and expecting guaranteed results. Healing is a partnership, and it requires proactive effort, education, and dedication on the part of the patient. Unfortunately, some people expect all the work to be done for them only to leave poor reviews when things don't go the way they envisioned. I think it's important to highlight this because Utopia empowers patients with tools to take control of their health, but success requires commitment.

The doctors, nurses and the staff are unmatched. From Airam at the front desk making sure everything is in order at all times, to Mark, making sure the rest of Utopia Wellness is always running smoothly. They get to the root causes of your health issues and give the appropriate treatments that address the issues naturally.  Unlike other doctors that spend 5-10 minutes with you then you leave with a prescription, Utopia's doctors take as much time as you need to make sure you understand their treatment plan and have answered every question you have. For those seeking a healthcare experience that prioritizes genuine healing and individualized attention, Utopia Wellness is the best choice.

Feeling ambivalent about writing this review, as the positive side was having the best acupuncture…read moredoctor I have ever had, Dr. Xu, whom I will miss dearly. Nevertheless, I feel the need to open your eyes and make you aware of the following: Lisa, from billing, has tried charging me for services aside from acupuncture four times. She continues to send my insurance additional billing codes that required co-pays when my treatments are 100% covered. To make matters worse, she sent me an invoice on Monday, 9/15/25 asking me to pay $30.00 for my upcoming acupuncture treatment scheduled for Wednesday, 9/17/25. Without receiving the service, Lisa was already charging me. I have been vocal and assertive about these unexpected charges unsuccessfully. Amber, staff member, dared to cancel my upcoming appointment without my consent after speaking to me on Monday about the invoice received. At 71 y/o, I avoid conflicts if I can, but dealing with some of the staff members in this clinic can be challenging. The clinic is expected to be about relaxation, yet, they have a toxic environment among their staff. I am not aware that the owner, Dr. Ron Shemesh, knows how his staff members are treating customers, but he will find out sooner rather than later. I am tired of receiving bogus charges because each time they send me an invoice, my blood pressure raises very high. I've decided to not go back because my health is more important and I don't want to experience stress and/or anxiety at a place that claims to be about mind, body and spirit. Thank you, and I hope, this review will serve to open eyes because that is my intention. Linda G. Rodriguez, M.S.W.

First time I've tried acupuncture, and I have to admit it, I'm sold. I had always put it off…read morebecause I didn't want the cost associated with having to pay for multiple visits, but this "community" setting has won me over. The first visit you get a tour along with learning the rules and regulations. After that, you're on your own. You walk in (either with or without an appointment), pay at the pay station - and you set the amount you want to pay - then take a seat in one of the recliners. Okay, this part is a bit odd; you are in a massive dimly lit room with calming new age music playing. After you take a seat, the acupuncturist on duty that day comes over, quizzes you about your issues, then proceeds to place needed in your arms, hands, legs, feet, ears, and/or head. It does not hurt - there is mostly just a pressure, if you feel anything at all. This community environment, instead of having individual cubicles or offices, is what enables them to keep the prices so low. So, while you may hear snoring, coughing, whispering, etc. you are paying a lot less then you would at many offices.

Why 3 stars? Because I suppose acupuncture just isn't for me…read more --- --- --- First of all, I will say this - if acupuncture IS your thing, I fully support the mission of this center. They have a "pay what you can" policy that places all each session between $15-$40 and it's totally up to the client what amount they would like to pay within that range. Plus, my interactions with the woman at the front desk and the therapist were very pleasant. If I were ever to have acupuncture done again, I would come right back here. My rating is more about the service itself, and might be more of an indictment on acupuncture as a whole, rather than the business. I've had lower back and hip pain for years. I've tried everything under the sun to mitigate this pain, but nothing has worked. I recently asked my physical therapist if he thought acupuncture would be helpful and he suggested that it was worth a shot. I saw the phenomenal reviews for this studio, so it was pretty obvious where I'd be going for my first experience. Booking my appointment online was super easy, and I was able to get something that was only about an hour or so later from when I actually made the appointment. When I arrived, I was given new patient paperwork and was kicking myself when I read that headphones could be used, because I didn't even think to bring mine. However, before I was sent back for treatment, I was asked to please turn my phone completely off before leaving the lobby, so I'm not sure how one would listen to headphones when their phone isn't allowed to be one. Either way, this was not a huge issue. I received a brief tour of the facility and then was shown to my chair. I was asked to remove my shoes, socks, watch and everything in my pockets. The recliner I was asked to sit in was incredibly comfortable - that was probably my favorite part of the entire experience. When the acupuncturist came by, he asked me where my ailments were. He then gave me a quick overview of what to expect and then began poking me with the needles. He mentioned that he would be poking me all over my body, but I didn't expect zero attention to be given to my actual problem areas. He poked my hands, my arm, my head and my ankles. A few of the needles hurt going in and a few others would hurt pretty badly if I even moved a small amount. Sitting still for about 45 minutes was virtually impossible, so I had quite a few instances of accidentally moving the needles into some pretty painful positions, on accident. Eventually the acupuncturist came by to remove the needles. He asked me if I felt better. It made me laugh because it just didn't seem possible that my chronic pain of 2 years could actually dissolve after tiny needles were inserted into random parts of my body. I felt comfortable and relaxed due to the delightful chair and peaceful music that was being played, but of course it was a zero in terms of helping my pain. Does acupuncture actually work for certain problems and certain people. I'm sure. But for me and this issue, it's just not for me.

I still don't know what to make of his kinesiology techniques of divining ailments and remedies. This may be what some reviewers refer to as quack medicine. At the end of the day, it's results that count. When I first went to see Dr. D, I was prescribed double the daily dose of over-the-counter antihistamines, and still suffering from serious allergy symptoms that got progressively worse. Six months after being treated by Dr. D with herbal supplements, together with a commitment to a modified diet, my allergies symptoms are 90% gone and I'm completely off antihistamines. It's an amazing feeling to overcome a health problem you thought you'd be stuck dealing with for life. His fees are not inexpensive, more so if your health insurance doesn't cover alternative medicine. Even if it does, the herbal and homeopathic treatments can add up. But for me the journey has been worth it, especially when conventional medicine stopped being a viable long term solution. Now I can enjoy Thai food knowing it's not going stir up my allergies!
