While it was tricky to find any information about the facilities or any customer reviews, I was able to make a quick reservation through Facebook Messenger the night before and received a prompt response. When my friends and I arrived for our reservation at noon we were greeted by Sam, a young Axe throwing expert, and his mother who instructed us on proper axe throwing form and safety. They were both friendly and kind and we had the beautiful facility to ourselves for an hour to play games and work on our technique. We also used the Jukebox to play music and really enjoyed our time there! Due to Covid, we all wore masks but were allowed to remove them once we were in our designated throwing area. However I would imagine that it was due to them being slammed at the bar. Definitely a fantastic date night or group activity. All in all a great experience, and if you're looking for something new to do, or something to do while you get drunk with your friends, you should ABSOLUTELY check it out. My suggestions on improvements would be: Make it more obvious or even just a sign on where to put jackets/purses as we didn't notice the tiny hooks under the tables until we were almost done our 1 hour round. I also thing rounds should be 1 An hour and a half or so because we did feel kind of rushed and didn't want to stop long for chit chat or discussing each others performance. And considering is such a social atmosphere thats kind of a bummer. I would absolutely look into a PoS system for the tables for score tracking and drink/food ordering. Along with touch screen projectors. I know they exist not sure how accurate they'd be with axes. But I'm sure someone has done it. And considering how quickly this activity is growing the only way it's going to stay alive is to innovate and make simple quality of life improvements. Its the little attention to details that end up staying in peoples minds and making them want to come back. And lastly MORE ADVERTISING! Every person I told about our weekend plans had no idea you existed. Add pictures to your Apple Maps/Google Maps location. Purchase a simple ad campaign for Hulu, Snapchat, and Youtuve That will be shown to people in our area. Even try and figure out a way to give out a free Snapchat filter for groups of like 10 or more. Hire a marketing person on Fiverr and make a plan. It's worth every penny.

Along with axe throwing, there's corn hole, giant Jenga, arcade games, and other free or inexpensive things to do. We took a tour of the various party rooms & they look like so much fun. Great place to have birthday parties, casual business gatherings, hang with friends or a unique date. One of the things that I really like is that you can BYO food, drinks and adult beverages. They do have a cooler with beverages that include craft sodas, boba, energy drinks, and more. Light snacks are available, too. I've been throwing axes for the past 7 years and love the sense of community around the sport but I…read morejust didn't get that vibe here at P.a.C.s Axes. Maybe we just hit it on an off night unsure. I signed up for the tactical package (knifes, shovel and axes) only because a friend convinced me to register for a skill game called So Have I Thrown That Yet where you throw a shovel, hatch and big axe from a chair. I knew big axe from a chair wasn't going to happen but I've never thrown a shovel so figured it be an opportunity to practice at least one of the skills. I was upfront about not caring about throwing a knife but mention the need to learn how to throw a shovel due to signing up for a tournament where I'd be throwing one. They asked if it was there tournament I was registered for which I informed them no, than they didn't not proceed to give me any information about there tournament which personally I found a little odd. I just mentioned I was practicing for a tournament, clearly I throw semi-competitively you think that would have been an excellent opportunity to recruit more people. I asked the dates of their tournament and then on my way out saw a flyer so I grabbed one. There shovel had no handle the instructor mention that I might be throwing one with but here they don't have them, which was fine I just didn't want to go into the skill completely clueless on how to throw the thing. It was also mention there not much skill to throwing it but I found that there was some skill. I also got my axes approved to be throw, except the big axe they said there ceiling were too low. Understandable didn't have high hopes for big axe practice. Brought my non axe throwing husband with me who gave it a go by mostly just watched cause it not totally his thing although he did say he'd go back and like the place, he thought they had good music and it was chill which I do agree it was really chill. I tried to chat a little with the workers/league member who was in another lane but they didn't seem too interested in socializing outside of themselves. I've been to a lot of axe venues and normally everyone is super social so this stuck me a little odd personally, but again maybe it was just an off night. No one was unfriendly they just didn't seem to want to socialize outside there group and missed an opportunity to promote not only a tournament but also their league. This place was the closest time wise on Google to my house but like by 1 minutes so I think I'll try the other venue see if I get a better vibe there because it might be nice to get back into throwing regularly.

You need to sign a waiver first on their tablet or from their website in order to participate. Even if you're just a spectator too. There are two levels to the boat, and we headed up to the open air top level. There are a variety of tables and chairs available for seating. The lower level offers the concessions, though there was a friendly staff person who came around and offered to take orders and bring things to your table for you. They showed a movie that was about 20 minutes or so long that reviewed the history of the boat and the area, and then the remainder of the time you could enjoy the river and area. It was interesting to hear about the history and nature of the area, plus how the community all came together to not only raise the funds for the recreation of the boat, but also spent hours putting the pieces together once they arrived. Restrooms area available both on board and in a small facility at the dock. There is a nicely sized parking lot available too. They also offer a variety of specialty cruises, which also sound fun!
