    Great bar
    Jack K.

The Watson Inn is a great place. And, its the only real reastaurant and bar in town. I enjoy going there when visiting. The bar is a great place with lots of bar space. The food is good but not great. But that does not mean sometimes is is a good experience. On this vist, I was a little disappointed. I ordered a "Turkey with Cramberry" sanwich which I asked to be made in a wrap instaed of bread which they cheerfully accomodated. I was thinking that from a local place in north central PA, this would clearly be "real" turkey. Unfortunately it was deli cuts. It was OK, but disappointing from my expectation/hope. But I will be back again and again as I enjoy the place with friends.

Food is tasty, atmosphere is really cool with the wood trim and tin ceiling. Service was excellent, will come again.

About to depart this wonderful B&B, but wanted to take few minutes to give them an overdue review…read more I've stayed in four of the five guest rooms over at least eight different stays and can't recommend the Copper Beech highly enough. Owners Linda and Bill have created a lovely and calming atmosphere throughout this historic home. Classic and uncluttered, all the rooms are spotlessly clean and appointed with comfortable beds and well chosen simple decor. Certainly not the stereotypical lace, floral wallpapered and wall-to-wall dusty antique kind of B&B. Breakfast is always delicious, as are the frequent evening cookies left on the entry table for guests to enjoy at the end if the day. Will continue to make this our home-away-from-home when visiting our Bucknell student.

Bill and Linda were extremely welcoming and friendly. The home itself is beautiful and meticulously furnished. After a day of work-related travel, coming back to soft music, a glass of sherry, and chocolates was probably among the nicest travel experiences I've had. If you're curious about the history of the home, the rooms also feature a picture book with facts about the home and pictures of all the guest rooms. I enjoyed reading it over while having a glass of tea from the Keurig in the upstairs hallway. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip through Pennsylvania... and next time I might stay longer!

There is a Bonanza Steak House down the street but they close at 7:30pm. For anything substantial, you are headed to Lewisburg. First stay here was nice. First floor, corner room (137). No stopping it because it leaks when closed too. The bigger issue was the disgusting sheets and such. Black stains on the sheet. Mattress pad was a mess. Blood, urine stains were all over it. Then there were actually crumbs on the mattress pad. How they got there, no one knows. Front desk gave us new linens. They were upset about how bad the mattress pad was. Second pad was also stained but only one small one. They obviously have an issue with housekeeping and keeping their stuff clean. Management comped the room which was nice.

I stopped at the front desk on arrival and the woman working was very kind and accommodating. She gave me a room key in case I had any issues with the digital key (which now showed it was working). I prefer rooms at or near the end of hallways away from elevators. I ended up choosing the end of the hall that is closest to the main road so there was occasional street noise but it wasn't constant. The room is very clean - the bathroom looks like it was recently renovated...also very clean. They have all the amenities of a Hampton Inn - gym, free parking, free breakfast. While we weren't disappointed in the motel, it was a little expensive for what you're getting. The grounds, the lobby, and the exterior are a little run down. We paid for a king suite but quickly found that the AC unit in the bedroom didn't work, so we ended up in a queen suite instead. Everything worked fine in the queen room. The bed was comfortable but all of the pillows were ancient and should definitely be replaced - thinking about how many people have slept on them kept me from sleeping soundly. I also doubted that the pillowcases had been changed because they were all really wrinkled. There was a thick, heavy duvet on the bed, unnecessary in August, so we kept the air conditioning set low all night. The bathroom was good - clean, good water pressure in the shower, decent towels, and no drain backups. The owners were very friendly and responded quickly when we contacted them. I understand that hotels/motels in Lewisburg can charge higher-than-expected rates because of their proximity to the Bucknell campus, but in the dead zone of summer, a room at a hotel of this caliber ought to be charging about $80-90 per night, and everything ought to be guaranteed clean. Expectations for a motel at this level were essentially met. All in all, for a roadside motel, I'm giving them 4 stars.

It's a 100+ year old municipal building, obviously not intended for lodging, yet the owners made it work. It's a bit of a time capsule with updated decor and amenities. We walked around every floor, soaking up the architecture and millwork of a bygone era. The entire place felt clean and safe. We stayed in the Mail Room (I've been told you start there, and work your way up). As described, it's spacious and bright, with a huge bathroom. However, the sunset mentioned in the brochure was obscured by the building next door, because June. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, the room was immaculate, the fridge and microwave were handy, the digital thermostat worked as expected. We didn't use the elevator, or try the restaurant. Wi-Fi was a little sketchy in the room, but stone/concrete walls make it challenging. We lounged on a sofa in one of the common areas to play Wordle in the morning. Yes, there is no front desk. That doesn't bother us, since we've stayed in many self-serve hotels. We never had to call anyone, but texts were promptly answered. Yes, some of the rooms don't have windows, and that detail is clearly spelled out in each room description. It takes a special kind of asshat to write a negative review on a place they've never even been to, or complain about the sun rising in the morning, or century old windows not being soundproof. Seasoned travelers bring earplugs and eye masks, just in case. The location is very convenient, within walking distance of almost everything, and quiet at night. Parking was plentiful and free. Life is short, don't waste it staying in generic little boxes.

I initially thought it was weird to not have a front desk but I didn't need it. With my personal code in hand, I walked up the steps, opened the exterior door, entered the vestibule, put in my code, and the door unlocked. The same code was my room key. Rather than walking the stately stairs to the second floor, I ascended to the second floor using the elevator. Very smooth ride. The Council Room was just WOW. Hardwood floors, 6 huge windows behind the bed, chandelier, barn door bureau, glass barn door shower, wall mounted tv, iron & full size ironing board, microwave, and coffee pot, As a light sleeper, when checking in, I heard the clock tower chime and saw the full length window blinds (not black out curtains). With the firm mattress and plethora of pillows, I died and woke up refreshed. Tons of food options in walking distance. Ample lot and street parking. Minor inconvenience: no nightstand with a plug access to charge my phone overnight. With a little Feng shui, I brought a side table closer to the bed and had a long cord. Problem solved. Speaking of problems, if you have any issues, the phone number for 24 hour help is posted in the vestibule and in the rooms. Looking forward to trying out other rooms on future visits.
