He couldn't have done a better job helping me through a very tough time. Attorney Martocchio was exceptional and so was his staff. He and his staff returned every email and phone call. Attorney Martocchio seems never to rest. He called me at the end of the day to make sure I fully understood what was getting done. Unfortunately I've been having health issues and I needed to go on disability. Having limited mobility Attorney Martocchio goes out of his way to visit me when paperwork needs to be signed. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disheartening and disappointing. Instead of offering understanding, he was very cold. he told me, "Don't come in here with the tears," and "I don't think I can help you." He also mentioned his own family problems during the consultation and said the case could cost thousands of dollars without giving me a clear answer. When I asked for clarification, he cut me off with "Stop it." I left the office feeling hurt, confused, and unsupported. I understand that lawyers are busy and may face their own challenges, but clients deserve respect, empathy, and clear communication, especially when they are going through a stressful legal matter. It was one of the most discouraging and cold experiences I've had while seeking legal help. Needless to say he told me he'd get back to me and I haven't heard anything from him yet!

While the case can't be filed until payment is made in full (it's just shy of $3k for my case, probably the normal), they gave me peace of mind that things won't tumble down on me prior to when I can pay them in full, and that there is plenty of time. $500 retainer paid, I'll probably be able to come up with the rest in the next 2-3 months hopefully. Paralegals seemed very competent from my observations which is very important and often overlooked in a law firm. I'm at the beginning phases of clearing up my financial mess, but I finally feel confident there's a way out that won't strip me of assets belonging to a craft I'm deeply involved with and care about. We'll see how things play out, but I feel very relieved thus far and my interactions with the firm were very positive. Read other reviews, my advice to meeting with any lawyer is going in with a clear head, despite what may be going on - sometimes life doesn't allow that though (like maybe an unexpected death in the family), but I've had months to process my feelings prior to making the appointment and knew what I was getting into. I get it can feel daunting if it's your first time seeing a lawyer, but they're there to help you. Just let them. There's still work to do, but I feel this firm can handle it. As far as a bankruptcy case, it makes total sense for them wanting to be paid in full before filing for you.

I have learned so much on Elder Law and how to protect my assets in the event of me getting a catastrophic illness that puts me in a convalescent home for the rest of my life. A couple of years ago I had him rewrite a new will. His knowledge proved out with things that he added in the will that my other attorney never thought of. He also gave me a disk with the document that I was able to down load and sent to my children. I can say enough about how good of attorney he is. I would highly recommend him.

We had a bad experience with this lawyer a while back and would never recommend him to anyone. He…read morewas involved in an effort to have my wife's aunt's will changed when she was suffering from dementia in a nursing home, leaving her entire estate to her accountant who had total knowledge of her financial affairs. They two were in collusion. Fortunately, we took the case to probate court and had the will invalidated. Our investigation revealed that the social worker who served as witness to that will was told that it was the updating of a power of attorney to allow the accountant to pay her medical bills. She was only shown the page requiring her signature and not the other pages that revealed it was a new will and testament. The social worker was shocked to find out the truth. Testimony at trial by the aunt's doctor and nurses all testified that she lacked capacity. It was a grievous violation of professional ethics. That was our experience. I can't say if he was chastened by the experience, but it should have put the fear of God into him.
