Unfortunately they cancelled our booking expectantly. While disappointing, they handled it honestly and apologetically.

We tried to work with Axewood to have them set up at our conference welcome reception. After several back and forth emails in February with the Hotel, we were almost ready to finalize the event when Axewood Crew stopped communicating. The Hotel had several concerns that only Axewood could address. After two months, they finally responded, but with only a month before the event, we had to plan alternative activities. I sent several emails and called several times with no response. The eventual response was that there had been a family emergency, which is completely understandable, however, they will not provide a refund for our $2,000 deposit, saying that they had to "coordinate details". Our non-profit association is extremely reasonable, and while we have sympathy for anyone going through family issues, keeping a $2,000 deposit for an event that you sent a few emails for and then ceased to communicate for two months is not in good faith. Axewood came out and hosted a hole activity at our charity golf tournament in September and it was amazing! They were great to work with and their crew provided a fun and safe experience for our golfers. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to add some excitement to their event. read more
