Terrible place to get physical therapy it's extremely loud all the doors are left open and the people working here lack empathy. I was in a lot of emotional and physical pain and cried throughout my evaluation -- could not say I felt understood or supported and the environment was very hectic. I'm happy that I did not return for the recommended twice a week for a year as well because I also received a bill via email when they previously "confirmed" that I did not have to pay for the appointment both prior to me coming in and afterwards. When I called to inquire I received contradictory information and the last person chose to go a victim blaming route. I would not recommend this place and it's actually my first yelp review because I feel this strongly about it. read more

I received physical therapy at this location the people that work there a very nice the place is extremely clean. The only issue that I have is that they are not transparent about the amount of money you will be paying per visit. They do not charge you per visit in the office. They do not send you or email you a monthly or weekly bill. Be careful when getting physical therapy here because you will be surprised by a large bill that no one in the office cares or knows about. Apparently they are not trained about billing they only know how to schedule an appointment. When you speak to Scott at billing he jokes around and laughs because he thinks it's funny because obviously he get a lot of these calls. read more

Honestly, this place deserves better reviews. Located centrally, Axiom has offered my mom a convenient place to receive therapy from dedicated professionals. My mom always compliments Jim and Craig for their expert care and kind demeanor. The front office staff is also professional and friendly. She is feeling so much better and is much more mobile because of their care. We will continue supporting the place. read more

I saw Justin in the Tuckahoe office one month ago to make an AFO orthotic. He told me it would be take 1-2 weeks and they would call when it's ready. After never hearing back I left two messages with him and the main number but no one returned my calls. I called Scott in billing today and he was rude and unhelpful. This has delayed my recovery from foot drop as I need the orthotic to safely walk. Stay away from this place!!! Terrible service- they could care less!! read more

I was told to call this office when I needed help with my new knee brace. They told me that they would see me right away which I was very thankful for since I had the day off. When I got there Carlos was very good at explaining everything to me. The brace kept falling down and he helpd me to understand why it was doing that and resolve my problem by giving me a smaller brace. He was very professional explain things very clearly to me. I am very happy to have a new brace. So I do recommend their services if you should need their assistance. Thanks Carlos for resolving my issue! read more

My mother was in the hospital and rehab and when she got out of the hospital had PT at home for a month. For the last month I have been working withAxiom to get her PT. First the did not get the referral, then the MD said a referral was not necessary. Went back and forth for a couple of weeks then her insurance said yes she does. Finally got everyone on the same page. Called Axiom to schedule appointment and the girl said first available is in a week. I asked her if the Yonkers location had less of a wait. She told me to call so I did and they have a message from August. On their machine and will not answer the phone. So I call Tuckahoe back and I speak to another person and she says that they are not doing ball and gait PT due to COVID. I was not happy. You speak to five different people on five different occasions and only one person knows anything. Ridiculous. The person told me to try Burke. So I call Burke and all of their satellite offices and they go by date of discharge from the hospital (not rehab) and if it is more than 90 days you need to go on the waitlist. We missed the 90 days by 7 days and the waitlist is between 4 and 12 weeks. Seriously. Because of the people who work at Axiom who do not know their policy my mother is going to have to wait 1-3 months for rehab. These people are the worst. Be careful with putting your loved ones in their care. This morning I got a phone call from Axiom of Yonkers. She identified her self and said she was returning my call. I told her that I don't need appointment (she was inquisitive). So I told her the story above. Her response was to blame everyone except them. I was livid. I said to her that there is no liability for this. It is not like she would get sued. But she missed an opportunity to show good customer service. All she had to do was to say "I am sorry that you had a bad experience. I will let our Tuckahoe location know your concerns so that we can better meet expectations and provide excellent service to our customers". She was shocked. Didn't have an answer. Started to stutter and I told her to have a nice day and hung up. read more

Trying to get my father's shoes from this company. I called Justin 4 times - left voicemails - no return calls. He only picked up the phone when I asked to speak to his boss. It took this guy 2 weeks just to fax a blank form to a doctor. Not only that but when confronted about it - he lied and said he did send fax but upon my arrival, I found that he sent it only AFTER I said I was on my way to the store. Left a message and sent an email to his manager - 24 hours ago, Scott apparently also does not return calls. My love for Yelping hasn't waned in the past 3.5 months, but my ability to walk more than a few blocks has, thanks to a quick but nasty slip getting onto the train and the subsequent ankle/foot double-whammy injury it caused. Hard to write reviews when you can't go anywhere (sadface). Enter review for Axiom PT: The staff is professional and friendly, and this extends to everyone from the desk staff to the therapists themselves (and their great assistants). If you've had an injury and had to do PT, you know that it's 1) not a lot of fun and 2) really, really important. This is my second time in PT -- I'm a natural-born faller, I suppose -- and Axiom is the best I've seen. My first go-around, I spent over a year in PT with a neck injury, jumping from place to place because I wasn't thrilled with anything I found. No jumping this time, both because Axiom is that good and because I'm sure my physical therapists there wouldn't approve of it yet. read more

I am a 46 year old athlete who got a new hip in January, and unfortunately, I am struggling in my healing. My stabilizers aren't waking up, I have tendonitis in my hip flexor...it's been a litany of issues and this extended recovery process has caught me by surprise. I have deeply appreciated my time with both Craig and Ellen at Axiom. They have been great listeners and have been present when with me during each appointment (and they are busy). The majority of my PT has been getting massage and stim, and I am amazed at how much effort these therapists give me in terms of really working to loosen my body to move better. I had my surgery done by a very impressive doctor at HSS and when he heard that my hip wasn't on its way to perfect greatness, he got a little defensive. The Axiom crew has proven to be a better place for me to get the physical (and emotional) support I need to believe I can be better. The supporting staff has been nothing but nice too! read more

I have absolutely no complaints about the therapist. However, the facility is quite small and too few actual exercises can be done. Better go to a more professional place, I guess. Plus, strange billing practices. They overcharge the insurer in a horrendous way, so watch your claims. read more

I am doing OT for an injured finger and PT for issues with my low back and knees. I have found the therapists to be very professional and knowledgeable about what needs. Greg does my OT and I see a big improvement in finger movement and level of swelling. He is very knowledgeable and you can tell he cares about his patients. Great sense of humor too. read more

Axiom Physical Therapy is simply THE BEST! I went to Axiom for a hip injury that occurred during marathon training. I was less than 2 months out and Christine was determined to get me across that finish line. Everyone who works there is kind, considerate, and understanding. Christine took into consideration my previous injuries and lifestyle while developing a PT plan that would work for me. This was my first ever experience with pt. I have had plenty of falls, etc, but this was the first injury that warranted pt. I began therapy 4 weeks after wrist surgery. I had lost much of my wrist flexibility and I was looking forward to getting back to yoga. After 6 weeks there, I felts like I made little progress. There were days when they were so busy that I spent more time waiting on the therapist, or for someone to get me heat or ice, than I spent actually doing something. At the recommendation of a friend, I switched and the difference was night and day. This other place made an investment in my recovery. As I sat with my various toys, there was always someone checking in on me. Challenging me. And everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. They send me home with bands and lists of exercises. Several years ago I needed PT for a torn meniscus and Axiom was suggested by my doctor as the place to go. The therapists and staff at Axiom were caring, professional and attentive. I felt welcomed from the start and had good results at the end of my sessions. Just recently my doctor again suggested that I could use PT for another issue and I headed right back to Axiom. Christine was there and remembered me from our conversations those many years ago. Her caring, guidance and professionalism came back to me as well.
