I am currently a resident and would not recommend this apartment to any family especially those with little ones. you WILL experience entitled downstairs neighbors banging on the wall and ceiling if you live on floors 2-5. be aware that other tenants will still park in the reserve parking spots that you pay for and the only way to have them move their vehicles is if you notify the office. these tents have been here just as long and if not longer and know those reserved spots are currently being occupied. Trash will be left randomly in front of the trash room/shoot. management claims they walk around each building and floor to repair any issues, but the trash room was left with trash on the floor and light bulb has been out for over 2 weeks making it difficult to use the trash room/shoot. which then requires You to bring the trash to the first floor or outside dumpster. This place is not luxury, please do not rent from here. if you're desperate to find a place, I would still not recommend this apartment. if you prioritize quality of life, please consider the stress you will endure here. read more

When we first moved in this was a nice place to live. Unfortunately, it has gone downhill every year for the past 3 years. The property rules mean nothing and the property management does nothing but send out strongly worded emails that mean absolutely nothing. People are constantly smoking on the property (cigarettes & marijuana). Openly drinking in the parking lot. The Axis has taken on the feeling of section 8 housing. Broken down/unregistered cars and campers. Tenants working on cars in the parking lot. If you email the property manager and or The Claremont Corporate Office, you will get NO RESPONSE! I've really enjoyed living at Axis, and in fact, so much about the place is perfect - most notably, the staff. The Property Manager, Melvin, is simply kind, organized, and good at making decisions that bring people together. There have been a variety of fun community events since he started, and most importantly, on the rare occasion that there are issues with the apt., he is very promptly and efficiently responsive. There's so much to love about Axis. However, just a few of the reasons that I have loved it are the firepit with comfy chairs around it, the sparkling clean swimming pool during the warm weather, gas grills, a movie room with rows of seats, fitness center, and a pool table. The apt. that I moved into was beautifully decorated,iin terms of the lighting, etc. And it's so nice to have a washing machine and dryer right in apartment. There -this sounds like an ad -but it's not! Maintenance is excellent. On one of the very rare occasions that there was some kind of a drain issue, the maintenance guy came, and I arrived home to find not only the drain fixed, but also the clock reset for daylight savings (as I hadn't done that) and the lightbulb replaced... if I think of more, I'll add that in the future. Easy way to make a decision on luxury apartments... anywhere in any building, reach your hand up and slide it above a door frame, or a fire pipe, or a hall heater (which is damned dangerous), and you will find filth. I vacuum half the hall in front of my apartment so filth don't come in. They don't, whose going to? I should get a credit. Also, our building beeped for months with a fire alarm error, emails were sent, complaints were made... one day the office manager showed an apartment in our building and it hasn't beeped since. That could have stopped months ago? For whatever reason the climate control in the halls are off, the place smells like mildew and the signs and corner guards are falling off of the walls. What responsible rental company would want their multi-million dollar building moist and moldy? I don't do this to be a b**ch, I managed properties for 17 years. It's absurd. I would have been fired the minute the trash room stank. Wait until the end of the summer when the drywall is wet and moldy on the backside and the rugs smell like mildew. FFS. Who in the world even cares about this investment? I think I'm the only one and I'm just a pissed off tenant. No climate control in a dank hall. Why would a building owner want that? read more

horrible. management changed over 3 x. Terribly managed. leaves things broken for weeks despite numerous requests for maintenance. James Letton the "vp" failed to respond issues and to a very serious security deposit violation. This place is absolutely horrific but I think it is due to the fact how poorly it is managed. It is false advertising to call this place luxury. Its average at best. if you are desper for housing is the only reason to rent here. horrible!!!!!! read more

1/31/17: this is our final update to this place. I can't stress enough, this place is NOT luxury. They raised rents by $75-100 for all units. Rent is far too high here for the amount of issues that have occurred. We decided not to renew our lease. We found a fantastic complex that I've lived in before and treat us with far more respect. There is newer management at Axis but they will not assist you with rent negotiations. They will not help letting you out of a lease. They will also make sure to make themselves the victims instead of trying to work with the tenants. Are some people happy here? Yes. Are there a lot of people unhappy here? Yes. I don't see things getting better. A couple things to keep in mind here. There are people who do not take gas seriously. You will have people in any building that don't pay attention to their stoves. We've had gas problems here in the past. There are building fire alarms all the time here. Keep in mind that just because this place says "luxury" doesn't mean the people here really treat that place very luxurious. I'd recommend looking elsewhere. It's important to really look hard at what you want. Look at ALL the fine print and make sure you ask all the questions. Check out units before moving in and check the plumbing smells and water pressures. Check all you can and don't trust everything management says. --------------- Many many issues with this complex. Let me list: Poor construction: moisture issues that caused them to dig trenches around each building to install foundation sealers. No lifeguard on duty ever Sulfur smells in the plumbing: been complaints from numerous units No notification system in place Many visits from the fire department and police with many issues from gas leaks to bad equipment and negligent tenants Management does not communicate efficiently at all! They lie a lot! Prices for the units are far too high for the number of problems. Just today, the crew working on the trenches tipped a bobcat front-loaded and ruptured a main gas line in building 2. The entire complex has to be evacuated. We now have no gas for who knows how long. No gas means no hot water, no stove cooking, no dryer. Management hasn't sent one communication out to the whole complex. They are hiding the issue. They are trying to make this place amazing. There are a lot of nice tenants here, but this complex, by no means is anywhere close to luxury. Stay away! Definitely look elsewhere. read more

Horrible place. Opposite of "luxury". Cheap linoleum floors that buckle and have air pockets, counter tops with markings and cut lines written on them from the original manufacturer, cheap appliances, thin walls etc. Fire pit works 1 month out of the year. Management cannot be trusted. You ask for one thing and they'll give you something else and refuse to accept blame or even work with you. All they want is your money and have no interest in customer service. Fires, mold issues, burst pipes (water and gas), fire alarm issues you name it. Check the Bridgewater police log to confirm all the issues. AVOID at all cost!!! read more

Lived here for two years and although the people who live here are great the management team left a lot to be desired. They would promise one thing yet do another. In the course of 2 years we had 2 different property managers, 3 different assistant property managers, and the rest of the staff changed like clock work. Our building would sometimes go over a month without the hallways and stairwells being clean. There was some good as The apartments themselves are nice with really great sound proofing side to side (not really top to bottom though) but you could also hear anything going on in the apartments from the hallway. Even with nice amenities like the pool and club house the lack of responsiveness and attentiveness from the management team didn't make it worth the money. read more

Giving one star is generous!!! I sent an inquiry thru email, my only contact with Vibeke was email, the response was prompt. However, the questions this person put forth did not refer to my inquire. For example, how big is my husky...I sent an email saying I do not have a dog ! I thought ok a mistake, but then I received another misinformed email. I responded and reiterated my needs an apartment in Oct preferably the 15th, as my lease ended November 1st. I received an email in forming me ...."unable to read that far in the future, call back in December" December!!!! October..., can this person read...ok one mistake ...but three emails and call me in six months!!!!! If this is what it is like, don't hold you breath waiting for my call! read more

I am a resident here at Axis at Lakeshore and also a community manager at a local apartment complex as well and let me first say these other reviews are laughable and so untrue. To the person complaining about crime guess what "Crime" has no zip code.. no matter where you go there will be always be crime... and to say that is that the "lower income" residents are the ones not being respectful to the grounds and buildings??? Did you ask them how much money they make? For the record not that it matters I pay full market rent. I personally have never witnessed or heard of any crime on the property... Now as for there being no lifeguard on duty.. if the town required them to have a lifeguard on duty then guess what they would of had one... but if they did that means they have to pay a lifeguard so that means higher rents.. so which one is it you want less rent or more safety.. or both...Your expectations need to me be more realistic..The management was following what the town requires so it's not their fault that an incident occurred.. Now for the person that said lots of drug use.. How can you possibly know this for sure? Are you the police? How is management supposed to screen for this? Put a question on the application do you do drugs?? The most laughable complaint is that the walls and ceilings are thin??? Welcome to apartment living. If you want peace and quiet and this place is so expensive go buy a house with a few acres of land but don't go posting about noise in an apartment unless your neighbors are playing loud music at late hours etc.. I have never had any issues with noise in my apartment in fact I would say this is the quietest apartment I have ever lived in. My opinion is that these residents complaining are just natural complainers with nothing better to do. I love it here. We live on the 1st floor and love the ease of walking right into our apartment from the patio. Beautiful kitchens with granite and stainless steel appliances.and very modern apartment overall.. This is probably the nicest apartment community I've ever lived in. My kids hang out with some of the other residents kids and they go to school together on the bus each morning. Sometimes you can get breakfast in the clubhouse because they have these kinds of offerings. Anytime I put in a maintenance order it gets done within 24 hours. One time my stove needed fixing so that took a little longer because they had a tech come out. I have been informed when they needed this guy to come out tho so I thought that was good. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a community situation. Buying house soon because family to big but will stay until then. read more

Where do I start!!! I want too start with the sad fact that all residents electrical meters and residents main electrical panels are in a locked electrical room next too the elevator!!! In the apartments there is only a sub panel!!! I am a disabled veteran who was honest and straight forward in my application too get an apartment in this Complex!!! I was accepted and got an apartment, I started having trouble with my clothes drier getting extremely hot too the touch when i was operating the drier and brought this problem too management!!! This is when my problems started with the management and office employees of the apartment complex!!! I will not go into all of the details about everything that went on during my year long stay in this apartment complex, but I have pictures, videos, and screen shots from texts, and also from the internet!!! I have left this apartment complex and want everyone too know that this is not a place that you want too live ever!!! This apartment complex has a high turnover of tenants!!! read more

My family moved 700 miles to Bridgewater in May. Our house sale fell thru and we found Axis. The apartments are spacious and have many upgrades! Granite counter stops, stainless appliances, beautiful floors and carpeting. The grounds are kept up beautifully and the building common areas are always clean. The staff, from Dianne and the rest of the office staff to Jamie and the maintenance crew, are great. They know you by name in passing and are all extremely helpful. Our move across a few states was something out of A Series of Unfortunate Events and Dianne has extended gracious courtesy as we smooth out the wrinkles. We have had 2 very minor needs for maintenance (hallway light and cupboard door adjustment) and the work was completed the same day we created the work orders. We've enjoyed the pool all summer long. It's always clean and there's always plenty of lounge chairs. There is a lifeguard on duty Sat & Sun but as a parent I expect to be watching my children at a pool regardless of lifeguards. The club house and theater are fabulous amenities, the gym has new up to date equipment, and the 2 dog parks are very well maintained. It feels like we're living in beautiful hotel suite (minus the room service) instead of a run of the mill apartment complex. It been a great experience here thus far and very family friendly! read more

I seldom take the time to write a review, however I feel it is important to state my satisfaction with this complex and the staff. Everyone in the office is extremely professional. Recently I have noticed some different faces in the office, but they have continued to meet my needs and exceed my expectations. The buildings and grounds are well maintained which hasn't always been my experience in other buildings I have lived. Most recently I lived at an Equity complex in Seattle. I do notice that not everyone picks up after their dog which is frustrating for a non-pet owner! You won't be disappointed. read more

I lived in this property for a year and wanted to give my review ONLY after moving out. From beginning to end, my experience at Axis was far greater than expected. Management was always very responsive. Had one issue with garbage disposal and was handled within 24 hours of putting a service request (and I marked it as non urgent). Neighbors are good, no issues. I was on the fifth floor (top) so can't comment on noise issues from top to bottom but never heard my next door neighbors. I believe they recently changed their cleaning crew because I noticed a huge change in the appearance of my building. The cleaning person (a woman who I don't know her name) was always on point and extremely friendly. Maintenance is also friendly. There is a security guard I always saw at night patrolling the hallways so that added a level of comfort. Residences complained of no life guards on previous years so they added one this year (only on weekend though). There is a lovely fire pit that residences mishandled all the time causing it to break and management always fixed it instead of giving up. Residences also seem to ignore areas where dogs are allowed to relieve their business so some grass areas died off several times while I was there and maintenance kept replacing the dead grass. Maintenance also painted the interior when I was there and complex is fairly new. There are monthly cheese and wine events and free breakfast...not to mention kids crafts on Saturdays from time to time? All this and not to mention the apartment themselves are beautiful. Nothing compared to apartments I looked at before coming to this one. Yes, price is slightly more than some other non "luxury" apartments around the area but you can't expect to pay the same for an average apartment - common sense. Ive heard some people complain on the construction of the building. I can't comment much on that as I didn't really didn't see many problems other than my bathroom door not being installed to perfectly lock without adjustment. Other than that all good...this is a rental community, not my home. Remember maintenance is covered so this isn't my top concern. Biggest drawback is Axis losing Ally around the same time I left. She was beyond great. Always listened to concerns and cared very deeply about each resident. Diana is also quite pleasant. Worked quickly in getting full deposit back after we left. Speedy turnaround time and she was very prompt with inquiries. Overall great place. We only left because we purchased a home. read more

I am a resident here at Axis and I can honestly say this place is GREAT. I moved from a single family home to apartment living and I was nervous about the adjustment. I have had more fun in the past months than I did in years. Management offer so much more than the average places. Wine and cheese parties, sports gatherings, I can't say enough. It's like living with a concierge. And they care.....I have had nothing but positive experiences. I had an emergency after moving here with a sick child, every staff member was there to help the ambulance find us, hold the doors and they checked on us the next day. Where else do you get that? Sure, there are some people that are inconsiderate and any concern is addressed by the office. No one goes without being listened too. Maintenance and grounds are on top of things. Any issue has been addressed the same day! I feel fortunate to be here. I have made great friends and met super people. Diane, John, Jamie, Allie, Maggie, all willing to make life a little sweeter. Certainly has been for me. I'll be staying here for awhile! You should also....... read more
