I have to say, we had stopped going to this restaurant some time ago because food was not what it used to be, service was terrible and the place had started to look dingy and unkept with the furniture ripped and tables sticky. Today we decided to give it a go hoping something might have changed. When we opened the door we were in awe at the new, refreshed look, new tables, freshly upholstered seats in black and white, murals are a lot prettier and interesting and the bar is eye catching and more inviting. But, best of all the food looked appetizing and was delicious. The young man who took care of us could not have been more welcoming, pleasant and attentive. The food was a "disaster" at Ayala's Grill and Bar after having a beautiful day at the Cumberland Playhouse in Crossville. Was our first time eating there and will be our last. Ordered Fajita Nacho's myself and my friend ordered a different item..A pungent odor reeked from my nachos like ive never smelled before. I know what chicken taste like, but it WAS NOT CHICKEN! . stopped in Thursday evening , sat at the bar, I ordered a Ayalas cheese dip, 3 tacos and a TOP SHELF Margarita, I was very disappointed when the bartender made the margarita with Toro tequila, that's definitely not top shelf, when I questioned him about it he tried to conv me toro was top shelf tequila, if you go there and order a top shelf margarita you will be ripped off, I couldn't believe the bartender actually done this with me watching I'll never be back !!!! read more

The salsa was ok. Literally no cilantro or jalapeño just like a tomato sauce consistency. I had the lunch chicken chimichanga was good " I was hungry " Husband ordered the 2 taco meal. The taco shells were those store bought crunchy shells. What the heck. Husband was craving tacos. So we went there. 9pm and husband is still saying I'm still craving a good taco. Great food. Great margaritas. How fun atmosphere. They have plenty of TVs to watch football on. We were there when there wasn't many people and the service was very fast. I wouldn't necessarily expect that all the time from them. But, everyone was friendly and I wouldn't expect it to be poor service in the future. read more

We just ate there, for the first and last time. They charged almost $3 for three tortillas with dinner. Happy hour only applied to one size drink. We got a larger drink and then asked for the happy hour second drink they charged for that one we would have gotten the third one for free. It didn't matter very much as there was very little tequila in the drink. The pork burrito was made with ground pork not carnitas. And they charged 4% for using a credit card. Wow. read more

Don't waste your time, or money, eating here. On a Saturday night we expected to have to wait for a seat, but this place was DEAD. We should have taken the hint. The chips and salsa was good. The guacamole was pureed. The tea was good. Then they brought out our entrees. The chicken and cheese was on top of 2 soggy corn tortillas. There was zero green sauce on my enchiladas suizas. The plate was piping hot, but the food, not so much. The pork in the carnitas entree was tasty and tender. The beans were watered down and runny. The rice on both plates was inedible. I had the lunch chicken chimichanga here the other day. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was fresh and flavorful-worth a repeat visit. The guacamole salad with shredded queso fresco was tasty enough to be its own meal. The chimichanga was stuffed with chicken and peppers-super tasty and paired perfectly with the queso and guac salad. The service was attentive and FAST. The restaurant was clean and brightly decorated, without being garish. Lots of parking, easy access. read more

Hadn't ate here in a while, tried it again. 37 dollars for two people to eat just seems like a bit much for 10 wings and 3 tacos. The wings were very difficult to eat, they were tough and all heat no flavor. The tacos were soggy and unimpressive. I never received a check I was just told my total at the cash register because my waiter was over at the bar talking with friends and too busy to get me my bill. read more

This place is your typical high backed, red vinyl booth type with lots of tvs on. I went with steak fajitas and was not disappointed! You know how those chain joints give you a few strips of meat buried in a mound of veggies? Not here, tons of meat mixed in with onions and bell peppers! Some of the most bland Mexican food I've ever had. I couldn't believe that lack of taste, seasonings etc in the food. Waste of money.

I always eat at the other Ayala's (which by the way is always top notch) but today I decided to give this one a try. When I went in they had one server and maybe 2 tables seated a waiter came by and gave me a menu. Then went to two other tables and took their drink order and food order and I still had no drink. The waiter was aware because he kept looking over at me because he knew why he was doing was wrong. I will never go here again. I got up and left and now I am at the other Ayala's. I just got done eating with my grandchildren, a 5 year and a 6 year old. They each got a grilled cheese and fries. The 6 year old was still hungry, so she got an extra order of fries. I had chicken and rice. The bill was nearly $30. Ridiculous. You seriously charge people $4.00 for 2 pieces of bread and a piece of cheese? My husband and I eat at your restaurant regularly. Sometimes more than once a week. Having to pay $11.00 for a 6 year olds grilled cheese and fries is outrageous. NEVER AGAIN read more

Food tasted great and portions were good - even the services was nice - price is about average with other Restaurants that serve this style of food but they do not all meet the 1st 3 mentioned taste, portion, service as well as here.
