The food and service were excellent!! I had the chicken apple salad, but I substituted a crab cake for an additional $7. The prices are very reasonable, and the food was so good!! I hate to say anything negative about this wonderful place, but my one and only criticism is that the interior could use an overhaul (fresh paint, etc), and the restrooms definitely need a deep clean (possibly a fresh coat of paint). The walls, doors and light switches were visibly filthy. It always makes me question how clean the kitchen is when the restrooms are not clean and obviously haven't been for quite a long time. Those are all that kept it from a 5 star review. But, those things are so easily remedied, and the food is truly excellent!! I had planned to take half of my very large salad home, but I couldn't stop eating it!

I love when restaurants repurpose old places and this house is perfect. Parking is limited, so if you're going with a group highly recommend carpooling. Also, call ahead and get a reservation. Seating is limited and in cooler or rainy weather there really isn't anywhere to wait without being in the way of staff. The food is amazing! We had fried green tomatoes, apple salad and chicken parm. The FGT came with three topped with pimento cheese, plenty big enough to share with multiple people. The salad was massive and paired nicely with the honey dressing. Chicken parm was some of the best I've had in years!! Everything was fresh and came to the table fairly quickly. Finished our meal off with some turtle cheesecake to go. Will definitely be going back.

The food at this location is amazing. We had the Salmon, Brussels sprouts, mash potatoes; Catfish, collards, Mac and cheese; chicken livers, mac and cheese, and Cajun fries. Everything was superb.

Come here every Sunday for their brunch and I try something new every time I come, and I've yet to have anything I'd not get again. Staff is super nice and very accommodating. Only thing? No decaf coffee

Huge portions. Ambitious menu with a lot of variety. The small roasted vegetable salad was enough for 2 people as a starter. Highly recommend it. My mom loved her chicken Parmesan and I really enjoyed the meatloaf. I cook with less salt but that is likely just personal preference. We took so much home that it made two more meals for us both. This is partly because we wanted to also have dessert. The peanut butter pie was a new thing for me-I really liked it but can't compare it to others. My mom's cheesecake was "really pretty good, maybe not among the best". You might note that she ate it all! Service was by young very competent people, ambiance is family-operated cool old house. This place lived up to its Yelp reputation and I am very glad we went.

One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!

Please take this review with a grain of salt. Today was probably not an exemplary day for Milk &…read moreHoney. Mother's Days are challenging, but I think where they hurt themselves the most is that they do not have a method to take reservations or even call ahead seating. Wait times were often in excess of an hour listening to other people waiting to be seated. That's a horrible experience on its face, and the management of this restaurant needs to do much much better or just close on Mother's Day. Next, we'll get to the food. I doubt it was a shining example of what they are capable of. I got the Shakshuka and it was mediocre. I'm not expecting it to be as good as what I would get in Tel Aviv, and I've had the real thing in Tel Aviv. But to be honest, the eggs came out nearly hard-boiled not poached. And the eggs are one of the stars of the show for this dish. If you don't get them right, the entire dish fails. Next will touch on the chicken and waffles. The observation from my tablemate was that it was dry and he didn't even eat it all. The same thing can be said for my other tablemate who had the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was exemplary, but the chicken was dry and actually overcooked. Then there were the omelettes, I don't believe they were impressive in any way and the people that ordered them agree. For those of us at the table that ordered coffee, it was rather strong. I normally like strong coffee, but this was borderline Turkish coffee, and there wasn't enough cream available to mask the potency. The service was also stretched thin. Our server, Destiny, did her best, but she was waiting too many tables. Having once been a waitermyself I have a special affinity for Service staff who are asked to do too much. We left her a good tip, but I'm sure she is capable of much better service than what she was allowed to deliver. Finally, the overwhelming crowd made the restaurant feel claustrophobic. The noise level was far too high, and we could barely hear one another at our table and we were sitting very close to one another. I don't place the blame on the kitchen, staff, or the wait staff, or even the greeters. This was a fail of management, plain and simple. They made no contingency plans for that many people and should have anticipated a larger crowd on Mother's Day. Management -I challenge you to do better!!! We will come back during a normal Service day to see if you can perform better, but I encourage you, as owners and managers, to stop setting your staff up for failure, which is what you did!

I told the person at the front that I just need a table for 1, and she said the wait would be about 10 minutes. Thankfully though, I only had to wait 2 minutes and 12 seconds. The booth area I was seated it wasn't dirty or damaged, and it had a very classy look to it. I ordered the "Reese's Peanut Butter & Nutella French Toast", which comes with 2 eggs (I ordered sunny-side up) and sausage (I went with turkey sausage). The food took 17 minutes and 50 seconds to arrive. I note how long it took for transparency purposes only (I had a book with me to read, so I didn't mind the wait). After ordering, I did use the men's bathroom, which is a single bathroom (thankfully, it was vacant). Its not a very big bathroom, but I didn't feel claustrophobic in it, and was well kept. Here's my thoughts on each part of the meal: The eggs were cooked well and tasty The sausages (it came with 2) were not dry and didn't taste like frozen brand named sausages from a grocery story The French toast was great. Very peanut butter-y flavor (which is what I was wanting), and the strawberries were vibrant and sweet. It came with syrup on the side, but honestly, the French toasted was great even without the syrup (though I did put the syrup on after I tasted the toast as is). Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and experience at the restaurant. Thanks to my server Kayla for being friendly, and thanks to Fisch (I hope I spelled your name right) for making a tasty meal. Now, I had mentioned to Kayla how I was interested in trying out the "American Dream Golden Pancake" meal at some future point, and after I had paid for the meal, a guy came to my table (I'm sorry, I didn't ask for your name) and not only inquired if I was satisfied with my meal but also offered me the "American Dream Golden Pancake" meal to take home for free. This was a highly unexpected goodwill offer which I took up. This meal also comes with 2 eggs (I chose scrambled) and sausage (I chose pork). Now, as with any meal you take to go, its not going to be as good as when you have it in the actual restaurant. Despite that however, I was able to reheat the meal good, and here's my thoughts on the items in the meal: The eggs were flavorful and not rubbery The sausage patty wasn't dry and was tasty The pancake was crispy (I toasted it in my oven), the strawberry and blueberry cremes were great. The strawberries and blueberries were sweet. Golden Yolk was a truly great spot to eat it, and if you're in the Cleveland, TN area, I'd highly recommend coming here. Update 2025-12-09: I came back to Golden Yolk for a lunch a little more than a week before my birthday. This time, my order was a Southwest Power Omelette with a side of Mixed Greens and Cinnamon Raisin Toast (I could've picked Sourdough or Wheat Berry). Everything was great, and since it was close to my birthday, I was given a free birthday biscuit topped with their Blueberry Dream Creme and whipped cream. I'd recommend coming here for birthdays.

It came with a huge flaky biscuit topped with a generous scoop of sausage and bacon gravy. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes were seasoned really well, and the bacon was nice and crispy. My husband got the build-your-own omelet, and it was very well made with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was lively and a little loud, but it fit the restaurant perfectly with its modern Southern vibe. Pricing was a little high, but nothing crazy in today's market. Will return!

The BEST scotch eggs I've ever had and served with a mustard aioli that just completes the dish. The Fred eggs Benedict was delicious. Thick piece of ham that was like cutting through butter. While…read morethe service remains great and the restaurant is always clean with a friendly atmosphere, my meals during the last 3 visits have been disappointing. First visit, I asked if my waffle could be served later because I like it hot and fresh. I was told that's fine, but when they brought it out it was cold. Server offered to make it fresh and that was great. It was obviously warmed in a microwave and was floppy like a pancake when she reserved my waffle. Second visit I decided pancakes may be a better option, but when they brought them out they were hard and rubbery. This time I mentioned the previous incident and was told to specify making them fresh upon request, otherwise they remain under the warmer which makes them hard and rubbery while still warm. Makes sense. This most recent visit with family, two of us ordered the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was so watery it soaked into the biscuit making it soggy. The usually very tasty home fries were simply cooked potatoes with no seasoning (they've always been very flavorful) and the over medium eggs had runny whites. The coffee had a burnt taste which is not the norm. It's usually hot, fresh and tastes better than the average cafe coffee. The recent inconsistency in the quality of the food is really disappointing. Willing to give it another try in the future, but definitely taking a break for a spell.
