Arizona Rug Company Nov 22, 2025…read more What a pleasure it was to work with Arizona Rug Co. We visited both of their stores in the greater Scottsdale area looking for an authentic Native American area rug. The salespeople at both stores were friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, without applying any pressure. It was a wonderful experience. We saw several rugs that we liked in both stores, but it is difficult to envision them in your home with your furniture and the interior colors of your room. No problem: they offered to bring all four rugs to our home the next day (Sunday) to see how they looked in our living room. The owner, Ed, and his two helpers, showed up on time and laid all four rugs out in the allotted space so that we could compare them, side by side. Who does that? They do! Needless to say, we loved one of the rugs and purchased it. They even took our old rug away. We would highly recommend their service which is based on knowledge and years of experience. An employee who I now also assume is Eva from other reviews came outside and told me she was locking that door so I had to come inside. The mirror I really wanted was outside of that door though and I was confused because it was close to 5 but they close at 5:30 pm. I asked her if she could wait to lock the door but no- they close some sections earlier and apparently that couldn't wait. I left without buying any of the things and will spend my money somewhere that people don't chase me out. I have worked in customer service and in a tourist place and it often sucks. I didn't and don't expect smiles and friendliness, but at a bare minimum need to not be locked out of the area of a store 30 minutes before closing. There are a number of signs indicating it's easy to transgress their rules and get yelled at or ejected...so weird how very unfriendly the people at a shop with so many great things could be. Ps don't even think about trying to use the restroom if not a paying customer- you have to buy something and then the other lady will grudgingly hand over some toilet paper. Dang! I went in so happy and left so annoyed.

A new house requires new furniture…read more We moved into a 2100 sq. ft. house from a 930 sq. ft. condo. Needless to say, all of our furniture could fit in the living room. So, we are in the market for all kinds of stuff. We compared several furniture stores around town, and while we were walking the floor at Sedona Digs a couple of items caught our eyes. We made notes, and came back after a few weeks. One of the pieces we saw would be perfect for our decor, but it was gone by the time we came back. We talked with a sales person, and they looked it up in the manufacturer's catalog and helped us place an order. The piece was delivered to our house, and now graces the living room. I would encourage anyone to do what we did. Go in without a shopping list, wander around and see what's on the floor. They have a lot of good stuff, with a nice artistic touch, in many different styles.

If you go into a decent furniture store, it should look pretty right as you enter it. Well, this place looks like you walked into the Salvation Army furniture store. Which would be fine if they had Salvation Army prices, but no! A two-seater leather sleeper of very undistinguished appearance will cost you close to $7000. Dining room tables are sold for $6000 - $10,000. If they were works of art, then yes that would be a price you would expect to pay. But they are not even attractive, much less artistic. My own recommendation is that you need to drive down to Phoenix. I highly recommend Copenhagen Imports, on Camelback. You will see pretty sights when you walk into that store. And, at the higher end of what this miserable Sedona establishment offers, you could buy fancy furniture are Roche Bobois. Yeah, these require driving to Phoenix, but what can I say. You can buy good art in Sedona, but you should drive down I-17 to buy decent furniture. Let me repeat. A furniture store is easy to judge. Just walk in the front door and cast your eyes around. You should see "pretty." If you don't, time to move on. It would be nice to support local Sedona businesses. But they have to be good.

Aside from the tea, they also sold all kinds of goodies--from traditional dresses to books to little trinkets--which I later found out that 70% of the products they sold here were handmade by their rural women & men. There was just so much to explore that my eyes and my heart were full and I haven't even had their teas yet. Another couple of things I found out later on while I indulged myself in more chai than I probably should have and scrolled through their website: (1) half of their profit goes to support women and children in Pakistan, and (2) this place is a "social-enterprise dedicated to peace-building and socio-economic empowerment of women and children in Pakistan." With that, truly, my heart and my belly could not be fuller and I'm so glad I made a point to visit this place at Tlaquepaque! There were some tables and chairs, as well as area rugs where groups sat crisscross applesauce, outside the store on the terrace since they're located on the second floor. They also had a few of these super charming balconies you can hang out and sip your drink at. If you're not in a rush, I think staying and having your tea there completes the whole experience. What we tried: Butter Chai - 5/5 Traditional Cardamom -4/5 Iced Black - 4/5 From the three drinks we got, my ultimate favorite was the Butter Chai. Apparently, they don't consider this as their best seller, but I have seen so many people rave about this particular drink and I couldn't be happier that I went for it. It was the perfect symphony of sweet and creamy with the spices not being too overwhelming. I didn't know that it came with some toppings of crushed pistachios too, but they make sure to ask if you're okay with that when you order. Overall, this one's quite a special place. If you get a chance to stroll around the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, I highly recommend you stop by here!
