    Capella By the Sea Chapel

Took my Mom for a nice day trip and stopped off at the garden for a look. We ended up staying half the day, it was so beautiful and peaceful. My mom was able to easily navigate her scooter over the paved walkways that meandered around the park. There were two highlights as we toured the park: the Octopus Tree and the Capella Chapel. Wow! Highly recommend visit this park, even if the azaleas aren't in bloom as there is so much more to see.

Great big park! Clean Public Bathrooms! There are many picnic benches and walking areas. The park and exercising equipment are fun. There is a disk golf course that's awesome too! Very nice and friendly people and many people out helping to keeping the grounds kept up and clean.

It's a decent sized park with some great amenities. Could use with a little more care and love as far as the landscaping goes; It definitely isn't the most manicured of parks I've been too. However, what it lacks in landscaping it makes up for in little surprises here and there. The highlights being the wooden Play Town playground for the kids. It's a huge playground and appropriate for an array of ages. The other big highlight being the nature walks and frisbee golf course. There's also a beautiful chapel designed by the famous architect E Faye Jones. Sometimes this chapel has a volunteer inside giving free tours and information. Other noteworthy things: baseball field, botanical garden, lots of space for picnics and a performance stadium in the summer.

Just one part of the playground

You must see the azalea garden in the spring! It's wonderful to see such a well-maintained public park.
