Top 5 favorite campground in our 7 years of RV travel!…read more One of the nicer state parks in Oregon. Clean sites, clean bathrooms, and private showers. Trash cans are every few sites so it makes it so much easier to keep things tidy for campers. They sell firewood and have nice large fire rings. There are so many trees and some sites have perfectly spaced trees so you can put up a hammock. There are a lot of park rangers on site. I noticed that they don't hesitate to address issues as they arise. You can walk to the beach from the campsite. It is a steep decent down a long driveway or you can take a questionable walking path to the rocks below. I recommend driving from your campsite to the beach parking lot. As for supplies, you are only a few miles away from a Fred Meyer grocery store. The town of Brookings has options if you need anything while staying here. There is a lot to do in the area so several days here isn't a bad idea. Lovely beaches, plenty of hiking options, small towns, redwoods....what more can you ask for?

WITH A CLOVER BOWL IN THE MIDDLE! what the F!? that clover was the place I spent the most time. pool coping, tight shallow end and a bit of vert in the deep end. very much like a real pool for a skatepark. if you got balls of steel, you'll roll in and up the launch ramp OVER the clover. go 'head, get down. I'll watch. Note to bad parents everywhere: it is NOT okay to let your 3-year old little baby girl ride her TINY little circus bike in the park with her daddy's construction helmet on. that is child abuse. you go to hell for those kinds of things. or hey! maybe if you really don't want that precious little baby, this is a good way to make her death look like an accident. good thinking!

Be aware that there are no lifeguard stands, so you swim at your own risk, it is shallow and wading depth for several hundred feet depending on the tide, but still cold water in July. This park has a decent 18 hole disc golf course that runs along the ocean and up to the enter way to the lighthouse at battery point. It's a pretty challenging course with great scenery and we had a great time playing each time, though the winds can be an issue on some days. There's a playground as well for kids to enjoy. As well, Beach Front park is dog friendly, though I've not taken mine while on the golf course. We happened across this dog friendly gem by accident and it was a great find. First there's a…read morebeautiful, dog friendly beach. It's certainly off the beaten path and during our time here only saw three other people and only one other dog. And they were pretty far away. The beach is a little unusual if you're not from the area and is made of this very small (most pieces were 1/16th to 1/4 inch) smooth rocks. It was really nice to walk on. Right along the waterline are very jagged rocks that look pretty hard to walk on, so it's probably not the best beach to plan on going for a swim. Besides the water is cold. There's plenty of driftwood and larger rocks to check out. The path from the park is a little steep and it could be a little slick when it gets wet. The walk up and down the hill is worth it. If you don't feel like taking your dog down to the beach there's also a large fenced in dog park on the other side of the parking lot. It's pretty bad, but we didn't see this at first because we thought the beach was so cool. We saw more people and dogs in the enclosed dog area than we did on the beach. If we're in the area again we'd definitely go back.

Awesome grass area where kids from all camps played soccer and other sports. Very clean park. Store was great where we rented boats and kayaks that the kids loved with making many memories to remember. Vince and Shannon were amazing camp hosts and we loved getting to know them! If you're looking for a quiet but fun place to stay in RV, rent a cabin or sleep in a tent which we also did for a night... this is the place!!!! Hats off to Lake Selmac and Shannon and Vince for welcoming our crazy RV group and taking such good care of us! We will be sure to return!

Trails were not hard at all, some cool art pieces, and a huge gift shop at the end. We got to ride the gondola and it was a bit scary when it stopped halfway through, but that was just to load the next riders. It's a breath taking view once you get past the clouds. I didn't finish the rope bridges, but I did about 3 of them and felt totally safe the whole time. It was a nice place to be in for a few hours, and it was about an hour drive away from Humboldt. I would reserve about 3-5 hours of your day to see it all. Would love to come back with friends or family!

My first thought was that it is more remote than I had for some reason assumed. I really appreciated the relatively large spans of almost no civilization and all nature. Second thought, the entire Oregon coast is stunning...the most beautiful coast line in the country in my humble opinion. Rugged, treed, full of wildlife, serene. Third note, the corridor did have the most rock formations as compared to other parts of our coast, very fun to admire, especially from the higher vantage points of the many, many viewpoints along the route. Overall, a stunning area...but let's be real...it's just another jaw-droppingly beautiful piece of a state overflowing with spectacular sights.
