The trail had some hills but mostly flat. Luckily there was plenty of shade along the way. They have a station where bike riders can work on their bikes and if they need to put some air in the tires it has an air pump. Next time I am bringing my bike. Came across plenty of friendly riders sharing the trail.

Minneola Trailhead park has 17 acres and includes a dog park, playground, ball field, exercise…read morearea, and basketball court. The playground is ADA compliant and the dog park is in two sections. One section is for dogs under 35 pounds and the other for over 35 pounds. They have a waste station and plenty of room to roam. You only need a permit to gather if you have an event with 50 or more. The park has access to the South Lake Trail and clean bathrooms. Their normal hours are from 7am to 7pm.

This is for sure in our top three favorite parks now!…read more It's tucked back behind Sky Zone, so it's quiet and has plenty of trees to shade it perfectly and allow for a nice breeze. The play structure is huge and offers so much to engage with and use imaginative play. There are multiple slides, as well as a few different areas with plenty of swings. We easily spent a few hours and didn't know the time had passed. Lots of space to run, jump, and climb. It is all very sturdy and safe, as well as clean.

We've had multiple birthday parties for our kids here and attended others. The covered Pavillion with bathrooms is excellent. They had plugs for the crock pots full of food we brought. It's maintained daily, something I found out the time I arrived at 7am to sweep and blow leaves away and clean the tables. A lady showed up after I was done to do all that and thanked me instead. Oops! Oh yeah, then there's the huge playground. My kids have loved this place and all the wooden things to run around, through, up, and over for ages!

Upon getting there I guess I ordered the wrong tents I was under the impression I'd have ac because let's be honest for $150/night... WRONG! I was accommodated for 1 day because somebody else had booked the next day. I didn't last too long because there was a roach inside the tent and call me bougie but I've been in the military and never seen a roach inside a tent but like I said I've never been glamping so this was new to me but I did enjoy the tortoise and the beach! As we were asking back we saw a lot of them in the woods. They were beautiful. This preserve has a lot of different events from 5k walks to live music.

I had a group meet up here for a fun time of food and games. This was my first time at this park…read moreand overall a good experience. Apparently, the pavilions are first come first served. A sweetheart from the group arrived at 6 am and was able to secure a nice pavilion on the lakeside, adjacent to the restrooms and across from plenty of parking. The pavilion come with a grill (we didn't use) and a large trash bin nearby. The area had a few trees around and was nicely shaded, this made the combination of good weather result in a really good experience. There is a nice trail for walking, hiking and cycling. Near the parking, there is a play area for children and a fenced dog park area. Overall, I thought I had a good experience and think that it is a fabulous area. I do hope to get back out here at some point in the future.

The Lake Minneola Scenic Trail is also called the South Lake Trail. It is a paved 13 miles stretch…read morethat many people use to bike, walk and skate. It is also wheelchair friendly. We picked up the trail at the Killarney Station and rode through to Minneola Trailhead Park. The views are beautiful and we appreciated all of the areas with trees that helped keep the heat bearable in the afternoon. There are a lot of sections that intersect with the roadway so you have to stay alert and possibly not have very young children lead the way. There were lots of people on the trail when we visited and everyone seemed to be mindful of each other.
