I feel like she is personally interested in my health and satisfaction with every visit. I look forward to seeing her. My children have seen Suzanne Vickers, the PA. She is very good at what she does and has the sweetest way with kids. She always remembers us and we chat like old friends when we see her. We've seen Dr. Glick just once, but she was very professional too. The staff have been helpful and courteous. We had some issues when our insurance didn't want to cover one medication but the staff worked it out for me by submitting a prior authorization form (my prescription insurance can be difficult to work with so I appreciate the way they handled it). I've been so many times that I can't give an actual number and we are usually called back to see the doctor after waiting from 0-15 minutes past the appointment time. I think most doctors' offices are like that. Once, we had to wait an hour, but that has never happened again (I guess everyone has a bad day). When you go, wear a sweater (even in the summer) because the waiting room is really cold! I'd recommend Dr. Groysman and her staff to anyone who needs a caring and thorough dermatologist.

I get my Botox here and the MD here is beyond hilarious. I loved the guy -he made me laugh almost…read morethe entire time. I suspect he does that to distract you as he pricks you because I barely felt anything and usually I'm a big baby. But the most important thing is he KNOWS exactly where he's pricking. You and my Botox was done to perfection. I thought I had already reviewed this place but I've been getting Botox the last 20 years or so, and his was almost painless, but more importantly is he did it properly ( I had it done a couple times at a dentist ( that I won't name) until I once I looked like I had a stroke (for three months) because they did it wrong -so I advise you to use it a medical doctor not a dentist ! Everybody that works here is so nice. . The pricing is a little confusing. They have different " tox clubs " I didn't fully understand. I just usually go and get what I need.. The prices are fair and competitive for Birmingham and I won't be going anywhere else after finding this place, because I enjoyed it. It was relatively painless and I really like the people that work here.

There were some nuances about using filler in the cheeks, which I completely understood and was flexible about. I was happy to proceed with areas the provider was comfortable treating such as the lips. However after this discussion, a different person came in and informed me that my Groupon was not valid for another two months. This was never communicated ahead of time, despite them having access to my chart and booking details. This could have easily been addressed before confirming my appointment and would have saved me time and frustration. What made this even more frustrating is that they had already redeemed my Groupon voucher. When I asked for the appointment to be canceled after learning the voucher was not valid, I was told I would need to take it up with Groupon rather than the office resolving it directly. Additionally, I've consistently felt a lack of professionalism during my visits and it unfortunately seems tied to the fact that I booked through Groupon. Every patient deserves the same level of respect and care, regardless of how services are paid for. I do not recommend this med spa. There are many other professional and reputable options in Birmingham, and I would strongly suggest choosing one of those instead.

I purchased a prepaid laser hair removal package at the LaserAway Birmingham-Summit location…read morebecause they offer Nd: YAG laser treatment, which is commonly used for darker skin tones/melanated skin. As an African-American woman, I chose this location very intentionally. My treatments were originally going well with an RN who is no longer at that location. After she left, I received a treatment from a different RN who missed an entire area. Because that area was missed, I intentionally left it unshaved when I arrived for my next appointment so I could show her exactly where the hair had been left untreated. During that next appointment, she acknowledged the area and said she would make sure to get it "this time." She then proceeded to laser the visible unshaved hair. I specifically asked whether the area should be shaved first and offered to shave it myself, but she said it was okay and continued with the treatment. After that session, I experienced burning and visible thin, curved dark markings in the treated area that appeared consistent with where the hair had been left on my skin. I reported the issue, sent photos, and asked for the matter to be addressed. The RN later acknowledged that she did laser the area with visible hair present and apologized. She explained that she assumed the hair was short enough that it would simply burn off. I expected something as simple as a replacement treatment for the session where I was burned during the treatment, especially since the issue was not denied and staff at the location also acknowledged that the visible hair being lasered appeared to be the issue. Instead, my concern was later minimized by a "corporate representative" during a phone call (after months of waiting). She characterized the burning and visible markings as "microcrusting," but did not directly address the specific treatment decision: whether visible unshaved hair should have been lasered after I asked about shaving it first. The same corporate representative also identified herself one way during our phone call, but used a different title in her email signature, which added to my concern about how this matter was being handled. LaserAway then ended my remaining prepaid services. I did not ask for a refund or request cancellation. LaserAway decided to end my remaining prepaid services and issue a prorated refund without asking whether that was acceptable to me despite having only asked for the treatment incident to be addressed. This was especially disappointing because I had successfully received treatments from other RNs at this location without this problem and always complimented them. The way I was dismissed from continuing services felt personal and discriminatory. Based on my experience, I personally would not recommend this location to African-American women seeking laser hair removal. My concern is not only the treatment incident itself, but how it was handled afterward.
