The wine was ok, just ok for a wine shop which this place also is in business as, you'd expect good or even great wine. As they'd happily sell you the wines that made your bits tingle. Sadly the wines they served were mostly of the variety where I would be forced to hold my noise to be able to swallow. Yes I'm not a fan of whites or anything other than reds. But come on now! It was €50 a head. For that €50 you got a nibble of food, a thimble of wine, and limitless bread that wasn't the freshest yesterday never mind today... Now being a vegetarian guess what my scraps of food were? Raw vegetables! Though I did luck out when they brought a dipping sauce... made of fish! Vegetarians do not eat fish! If I was in New York I'd be a hipster having the time of my life. But I'm a fat hungry guy in a city known for it's great food! Disappointed? Very much so! There was finally a good thimble of wine to cap off the disappointing menu. So good that I bought a few bottles. I'm very much tempted to drink them to erase the memory of dining here.

Well, we also noticed they serve sandwichs. After the sandwich spot we were going to go to only accepted cash, and we didn't have any, we decided to walk a bit outta our way and finally try the sandwichs here. We were both excited to try the rillette de canard, and that's what we did. I got the rillette de canard with a black olive tapenade, and sundried tomatoes on olive bread. The wife got something very similar, without the tapenade and instead with olive oil and no sundried tomatoes. We went with the meal deal for 8.5€, which also got us the most amazing meat empanada I've ever tasted. We had lunch there pretty early, I think we were her first customers of the day and therefore the empanadas were still slightly warm. The meal deal also came with a soft or a water of your choice. The sandwiches were amazing and for the price with the internet and the meal deal it's really hard to beat for such a great sandwich. We will undoubtedly come back and try their wine and tapas.
