We were both excited to try the rillette de canard, and that's what we did. I got the rillette de canard with a black olive tapenade, and sundried tomatoes on olive bread. The wife got something very similar, without the tapenade and instead with olive oil and no sundried tomatoes. We went with the meal deal for 8.5€, which also got us the most amazing meat empanada I've ever tasted. We had lunch there pretty early, I think we were her first customers of the day and therefore the empanadas were still slightly warm. The meal deal also came with a soft or a water of your choice. The sandwiches were amazing and for the price with the internet and the meal deal it's really hard to beat for such a great sandwich. We will undoubtedly come back and try their wine and tapas. As you walk into the entrance hallway you're presented with a close-up view of a large wood-fired brick-lined pizza oven, with the main kitchen behind its' bulky presence. So far, so promising, but the best tools aren't much use without someone who knows how to use them. Luckily, Pantalone's pizzaiolo really knows his stuff. Don't get hypnotised watching the pizzaiolo at work! Walk past him and make a left. Place your order at the till and you'll get a receipt. Hand this to the pizzaiolo and then watch him go to work. A quattro stagioni was heaped with all the goodness I could have asked for and was made and cooked fresh, right before my eyes, in a little over five minutes. Sadly I was far too hungry to remember a picture. Finally, takeaway costs a couple of Euros less than if you eat in the restaurant.

Others who came in later were served quicker. We reserved a table for 2 in advance for 8.30pm and arrived on time. Waiters seemed cold and lacking in motivation. Restaurant was empty by the time we finished our main course and the staff were too busy tidying tables to ask if we wanted desert, coffee or anything else. Paid the bill and left. Poor night and £100 down the drain for two basic courses that were nothing special. You can do much better. Advise you go elsewhere. Unless you like sombre atmosphere, isolation or need to go for training purposes on how not to run a restaurant while maximizing diner stress and dissatisfaction. Giving them a 2 because the main course was OK and, for the benefit of the doubt, in case they were having a Faulty Towers Drunken Chef moment. Their reply to my review on TripAdvisor gives you a good indication of how they view their customers if you have a valid complaint. Didn't even bother to read the review properly.
