I paid in cash which I didn't have to since I have a home account with them. There was a small snafu with being charged but one email and it was taken care of. Every time I called their number, I get a friendly and helpful female woman. Being a new homeowner in the area, they require an inspection of the propane gas and equipment. A decent job but not thorough because the guy didn't come inside yo look at gas stovetop. In addition , I signed up the wireless monitoring but the next year, they included as part of the home service fee. D'oh. The new contract was a decent amount to sign. There was a promotional price for first fill depending on contract type.. Because of my first year, I wasn't certain how much I need per year. And weirdly two guys came out to install the monitor so some back office miscommunication happen. A very solid reputable company with helpful staff with typical paperwork and minor oopses.

I understand it is a complex project that involves both gas and electric, and it took several months just to get the permits. It took my project 9 months to complete. I've had neighbors who got theirs installed by Reliable in 3-4 mos. There were problems I suppose with management organization and things cost me a lot more than initially quoted due to a myriad 'what-ifs'. But it took forever to organize a final inspection. There was little training and seems the expectation is you will figure it out. A couple months after the generator was installed I found the manuals INSIDE THE GENERATOR and they were soggy from the sprinkler system. I guess I should have known they were there and pulled them, but I was oblivious. I asked for replacements because they smelled and were stuck together). NOTHING came. No matter; manuals can be accessed online. The spiel given by the salesman does not mean much. Whatever (s)he says, your costs will likely rise and ongoing maintenance has hidden costs. I am assuming it is the same with every generator installation, so I can say my experience is just average.

Mine, unfortunately, is on my roof but there is there an access ladder on the side of my 3 story townhouse. (important to note that my AC is also on the roof and I get that serviced) So thus begins my story. Reliable was recommended by a neighbor to service my all house generator, so I reached out and scheduled an appointment as they were also recommended by the brand of generator that I have. I purchased an annual service plan and they came out quickly, replaced the battery, did a tune up and helped me get it up on line with the app since I didn't have wifi when the generator was installed. I was very pleased with the level of service. Fast forward 6 months when I got a service disruption message on the app. I called to have them come out. Their service rep shows up to do the work but says he has no ladder to to access the ladder that is on the side of my unit and that someone will call to reschedule. I wait 5 days for them to call and then call them back and they say they will be there the next day. Great. The next day I get a text confirming they will be there and that I am the 2nd appointment. 5 hours later I call to see if they are still coming and then they tell me they don't have the right technician or equipment to do the job. All of a sudden it's a 2 man job and they don't have the people to do the work. This back and forth trying to get the unit serviced went on for a couple of more weeks. Customer service is very hard to reach. They will not put you through to the manager, Daniel, they say they are going to call you back, they don't- I actually had to have someone else call from a different number and a pretend address to get through to a live person. Ridiculous! Long story short- they did the right thing and fulfilled the maintenance contract that I had and then promptly sent me an email that they were cancelling future work on the unit given it was on the roof and hard to access. So the three star rating is for knowing their stuff when they actually show up, and fulfilling their obligations which I appreciated. I just wish it hadn't taken so much work. And know if your generator is easily accessible you may have no problems with them. As for me, I reached out to the generator company to let them know of the challenges I had and that they should make note before they recommend Reliable that they should ask where the generator is located.

It is located in a warehouse under the Miami Metrorail. They filled the propane tank in a jiffy but when I went in to pay I was astounded by all their cool fishing gear. If you are a salt water fisherman you have to check them out. The name of the business doesn't even hint at the water sportsman paradise that awaits you here. The inside of the warehouse was filled with fishing lures, fishing rods, coolers, ice, filleting knives, line, bags, cleaners, frozen bait and tackle. I was surprised to find all of this great fishing gear underneath the Miami Metrorail. The family running this business were such nice people that I have to give them a shout out. If you need to refill your BBQ propane tank they can do that too. I paid $20 less to fill the tank here than I do in Broward. If you need propane or any salt water fishing gear, come out and support this great business.

We delivered the check and I received a text informing me they were just placing the order (June 29th, 5 days before July 4th). When I told them what Steve told me, they apologized for his miscommunication and said they cannot do that... but they were happy to get full payment. The worst part about their policies, and banks will confirm, a Homeowner's Association has basic, guaranteed funds as the Florida statute requires owners to pay their assessments... we receive some of the best bank loans, if ever needed...
