History

Established in 2003.

B&B Drywall and Construction was established in 2003 by owner, Buddy Cast. His vision was to one day develop eco-friendly housing developments built for homeless veterans. In 1991, Buddy discovered his talent while working with beloved friend and mentor, James Dick. Mr. Dick, mentored Buddy, schooling him with expertise in plumbing, electrical, structural framing, masonry work, tile, and commercial work. Together, with a crew of skilled contractors, they built a quad housing unit for Southern Illinois University students in Carbondale, Illinois. In 1998, Mr. Cast joined Richard Carlson Construction, expanding on his knowledge and experience. With Carlson Construction, he not only learned the steps which are taken building exquisite, million dollar log homes, but also the care put into the family built homes. Finally, in 2003, Buddy was encouraged to step out on his own, taking his talents and applying them to his own business.

Mr. Cast is a married, father of two, who received his start in construction after working with a friend and mentor on student housing. He prides himself on gaining the knowledge and confidence he has at a young age. He is a reliable, self-motivated, and hardworking individual, who is not only proficient in the art of drywall finishing, but the overall construction aspect of building a home. He is confident in the work that he does and can deliver your vision with quality, efficiency, and pride.
