We needed a new leaching field so we proceeded to get four proposals. B&B was the lowest by a significant amount so my immediate reaction was one of caution. I read another YELP review on B&B and was pleased with what I read. I called the bidders to discuss the differences in the work they would do but it was not apparent to me that there were any. So we decided to go with B&B, with our fingers crossed a bit. Well, it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. They scheduled to the do the work in a couple of weeks and they showed up on time. A day early in fact. Their office kept us up to date. The work included also removing a huge stump which was another big question mark. Some proposals seem to make that a very big deal. Anyway they showed up to do the work and proceeded in a careful manner to remove that huge tree. Took care not to damage the cobble stone border on my gravel driveway. They removed the tree and took it away and began digging for the new leaching field. Again, they worked very carefully to not introduce collateral damage to my yard. Once the new leaching field was installed and inspected, they proceeded to backfill and then to re-loam the lawn. I was expecting a quick somewhat mediocre job because of stories I had heard from other folks. Not B&B. They did a superb job restoring the lawn. It came out beautiful. I did have to disturb it later, to repair the irrigation system but that was not a big deal. A few hundred dollars extra. If I was going to do the job again, (I hope that is a long time away)I would have included repairing the irrigation before backfilling. There was time for me to do that but I did not plan ahead for that option. Overall. B&B did a great job. They were professional, polite and neat. I recommend them without any reservation. I will definitely use them for the routine maintenance of my septic system.. It was a very pleasant experience. read more

We had to replace our septic. I got five bids and B&B was the lowest bid by far which made me a little wary as I know little about septics. I checked around and spoke to people whose opinions I respect and found this was a family run and well respected business on Cape Cod. I elected to give them the job and was not disappointed. They took the time to explain the whole process to me and the owner came out to walk me through the process as well as timeframes for the project. I was told who was coming and what they would do and when it would be done. Living on Cape Cod you soon learn that a contractors timeframe to start and complete jobs is an iffy thing. These folks showed up on time on the day promised and completed the job when promised. The on site people were great to work with and my septic works fine. They did the job for the amount quoted, did it when they said the would,completed when promised,the quality of the work was very good, and were easy and nice to work with. If I was to have any other contruction type work done in the future B&B would be my first choice. read more

i live in Boston, own house on Cape, when i found out my septic needed to be upgraded to Title V, i was very stressed about cost, finding the right people on cape...well i called around, found B and B in Sandwich, it was a dream come true... Once again, B & B Excavation dealt with things in a stand-up, responsible manner. Our 4 year old system backed up unexpectedly yesterday, Sunday, with renters in our Cape Cod home! I was 2 hours away from the house with guests sitting down to lunch! After my initial 2 minute panic attack, I contacted B & B Excavation, the company that put in our system. They sent a great guy, Skip, out to the house immediately. Skip found the problem, a clogged filter, emptied the tank, checked that the toilets flushed and drains were draining properly, etc. with our renters and was my hero! Honestly, this is as good as it gets in terms of customer service. I had to manage this from afar; B & B Excavation was and is simply terrific. All is well; renters are happy and impressed. One more thing: My neighbors at the Cape needed their septic system replace and asked me for a recommendation for B & B Excavation. They are the best! I needed a septic system upgrade, and in a hurry because I was selling my house. B&B fit me into their schedule on short notice. The team arrived right on time, did a very professional job and did not disrupt my normal daily routine at all. The entire job, including reseeding the lawn was completed in eight hours. It was made possible by their exceptionally well organized operation. It was obvious that everyone knew his job and did it well.
