Even though he couldn't come himself because he was based in another city, his professionalism and willingness to help someone who wasn't even his customer spoke volumes. You can tell a lot about a company by how the owner leads, and Brandon showed true care and customer-first service. Brandon made the 2.5-hour trip from Fort Stockton the next morning with his wrecker and a spare 3/4-ton pickup driven by his helper. Three hours later, we completed the 7.5-mile trip to my property without damaging the home, which was a major feat--Brandon even had to chain the pickup to the wrecker at one point to make it up the crazy winding hill just before my property. It was an epic journey, and I am beyond grateful to him for his help. I will keep his info on my phone, and you can bet he'll be my one-call if I get in more trouble in the future.

But after I called and talked to both Dot and later LaRay, I was impressed. They were attentive and alert and gave great service. But my driver, Bennie, is the real hero of this story -- I can't overstate how awesome he was in angling a huge flatbed in my tiny neighborhood with cars stacked up against every curb. And when I had watched him hook up the vehicle, I could see that he knew his craft. There is no substitute for experience. Bennie could probably fold space with his mind and pilot a container ship through a soda straw if he wanted to. I wouldn't have believed there was an art to it before today, but there is.
