The prices are reasonable, although "bankrupt" implies something on par with poundland, its not quite that cheap, but you'll find a bargain. I'm not sure whether a delivery servce is available as lots of the items are quite large and bulky I should think there would be.

Branded Bargains is if you like, your large version of Home Bargains as it is very similar in layout and style so don't be fooled for seeing double; this place is like Home Bargains big brother and you will find allsorts of extra items to buy at low prices in addition to the usual Home Bargains products. I like this place so much, that I'm now a regular shopper at this store; its truly a hidden treasure chest (well, not exactly but you know what I mean)! It is out of the way from the main road and situated behind TJ Hughes so not often noticeable. If I had to use a map to find this place, I would say its definitely worth it.

Just outside of the little Textile Town on the outskirts of Liverpool's centre is this marvellous store, located adjacently to its furniture offering and nearby to a heck of a lot of fabric and second-hand stuff. If you've never read my reviews before, well, shame on you! I mean, sorry, let me correct myself and say that you might not have HEARD of Home Bargains. Well, Liverpool, you are lucky. Not only do you have the behemoth of good value that is TJ Hughes on your doorstep, you also have the student and freelance writer (not that I'm talking about myself, noooo) Mecca of shopping wonderment that is Branded Bargains. They're Bargains. And they're Branded. Meaning they're cheap, and they're things you've heard of. Johnson & Johnson moisturisers, for instance. L'Oreal shampoos. Heinz beans. Pot Noodles. Jordan's cereals. Not stolen personally from the muesli arsenal of Katie 'Jordan' Price, but rather the ones that Bill Oddie's voice waxes lyrical about when he's narrating the adverts. You name it, at some point (somewhat rotationally, we have to remember, as with Home Bargains) they'll have it. It's a great place to pick up quirky gifts and offers plenty of homeware as well as edibles and toiletries, and if you're even slightly strapped for cash you'll save a bundle here. Put it on your list of shops to visit.

From what I have observed, they have a generous selection of garden related items; this is what hit me most when I first entered. I would consider this store as very handy indeed because it provides all the home and garden essentials and if you're a hobbyist of such trades, you'll enjoy what the store has available.

Bargain Buys is one of those shops that you seem to find in every town or little village…read more Bric-a-brac would probably be the correct way to describe it, but judging by the stuff on sale here, bric-a-crap might be a bit more accurate. The shop itself is not particularly large, but Bargain Buys makes up for this by literally cramming in as much stuff as possible, preventing even light from entering into the shop through its windows. Looking for some plastic chairs? They've got them. Children's toys? They've got them. Learner 'L' plates (for a car or hen do)? They've got them. It's hard to really pin down what they specialise in at Bargain Buys so it's probably best for you to visit here yourself but chances are there'll be something there that catches your eye. Whether you actually need it or not is another question, but everything's so cheap that it doesn't really matter too much.

The store mainly attracts those who own businesses as items are usually sold in bulks, hence you have to become a member which requires certain eligibility. Prices do not include VAT until you reach the checkout so this is something to be wary of. However, it is a great store that you could probably spend a good few hours browsing. Prices in general are affordable and not overly expensive. The location in Liverpool is rather in an isolated position with it being in an industrial estate and away from the main road. Most people have to have a car to use this store which makes sense when you're buying products in bulk form!

As you can see from my pictures the low price doesn't mean a scrimp on quality, and you can find everything from beds to sofas, chests of drawers to mirrors and a great deal more, including some very snazzy wall prints. I'm a huge fan of this shop, and it's ever so handy for any students or young urban things moving fresh into the area. The staff are really friendly and there's even a fridge where you can buy cold drinks if trudging around the store has taken it out of you. Brilliant stuff!

Moutain Warehouse is possibly my favourite outdoor clothing shop after our recent visit!…read more We were initially only browsing at the footwear section, when we noticed a sale rail at the fron of the shop with ski salopettes on. As we are going to Iceland, we figured that warm clothes would be a plus, and were more than happy to pay upto £50 for warm trousers as this is roughly what we've seen so far, so imagine our surprise and happiness when we realised they were all priced at £10!! We came out of the shop with £190 worth of trousers for £30 which was incredible. And they're a really good make. Will definitely be making another trip before we go away as who knows what other bargains we might pick up I also like that the shop is just by one of the railing openings so you can get straight back onto the car park.

The clothing is very durable and they do all different types of clothing (hats, coats, trousers, etc). The staff are very nice, as is the shop and if you're off to a festival or just going camping, there will be something in store for you.

The service is very good/helpful, prices are reasonable and the range of stock is excellent given the size of the shop. Hobbies catered for include model railways, cars and planes. There is a very good selection of second hand stuff. Thank goodness for shops like this which continue to survive despite the on line competition. Even Liverpool does not boast a shop of this calibre, so bravo Kit Stop may you carry on for a very long time!

Kit Shop is a small, independent model shop on Oxten Road in Birkenhead. If you love building…read morethings, and you like airplanes and cars, you'll probably find a fun project to work on here. Shops like this always remind me of my older brother because he used to love model airplanes, and his bedroom was littered with them over the years. My dad even built a sort of wood mobile thing across the room for him to hang them on so it looked like they were flying. Such boy toys. And, sorry, but in my opinion kind of a waste of time and money. But if you like this kind of thing, than this is the kind of shop you will like. It's small, but there is still a good variety and prices are fairly reasonable.
