Female staff have synchronised menstrual cycles - passive aggressive, terrible communication skills, not polite, resting b*tch faces, pretentious makeup, sloppy attitude, absolute simpletons, that remind me of those entitled girls in high school that screw their face when something is expected of them, that are too stupid to even realise that 'customer service' is not the job for them! Really condescending and poor people skills, you get the type of smile that's completely void of any human emotion that makes them look uncomfortable to even acknowledge you, that type of smile that looks like they're trying to deepthroat a stale bagel. These are the kinda girls that are keeping ITV2 in business. Always stalling to serve you, for what ever reason (maybe because their precious ego demands that you should offer them a sacrifice for having the AUDACITY to expect them to be attentive to customers ) I thought Poundland was bad This is all except for one nice lady who has a brown fringe - we like her But if she's not on shift - expect to leave with a sour taste in your mouth. This is part of an increasingly large chain. They specialise in obtaining items extremely cheaply and passing that on to the buyer. I was amazed at the variety of things you can buy at a B&M's, from really good quality real ale in bottles to household cleaners and almost everything in between. As Ryan-ere points out, don't assume that everything is cheaper, it isn't, but the majority of things for sale are sufficiently cheap to make it a vital stop on any serious shopping excursion. read more

This is a great place to go if you want to hunt for a bargain,i visit here quite often and as it is coming up to christmas the children toys in here are brilliant. I recently got a winnie the pooh toy for my son and it is really good comes with a book also at a great bargain at £7 amazing! Everythink you need is it this shop but i would not buy any food in here as it is a bit cheap and nasty for my liking but when it comes to food im just fussy. The staff arent helpful at all there was a triple phone set on display a few months ago i enquired about it,they told me they only had twin set ,they did have it but couldnt be bothered to go to the stock room,poor service!!! read more

B&M are a chain of discount stores across the North West of England and in my opinion they are always crowded and packed out with customers! Its not surprising really because the stuff they sell is so cheap! Dont expect B&M to stock the same things on their shelves day in and day out because they sell a lot of short dated or branded products which they buy in bulk lots and pass on the savings to us lucky shoppers. Ive found lots of brilliant bargains from this shop - 10 packs of crisps for under a pound which would cost me £2 in local supermarkets! Bought some batteries from this place not so long ago. A big pack with about 30 batteries in. None of them worked. Its not the first time I have had to take things back to this place. Having said that we bought a triple set phone from the place and they are still going strong 6 months on. Although, they had none in the back so the saturday girl literally swiped and scooped the display phones off the shelf and rammed them into a battered old box that was ripped and said 'Here ya go'. I suppose the above story sums up B&M quite well. They sell mainly cheap electronic goods and have a food and drinks section. The majority of the products are poor in quality although if you do go in for a look around there is always the chance that you can find a real bargain. I try to restrict myself to buying smaller items from the shop. Inexpensive things that are no big deal if they break down not long after you have bought them. The shop is pretty big, has 2 entrances/exits. The staff are like zombies (probably wishing they didnt have to spend their weekends working in such a dump for the minimum wage). So, dont go expecting good customer service. So, if you fancy a browse or need a cheap present then go here, otherwise steer clear if buying something of importance. read more

B&M is a FANTASTIC bargain store and offers a wide range of products at cheap prices. They sell things like home equip, toys, ale, cigs, clothes, food etc.. Had a few good bargains from here, like a rug i paid 9.99 for and later seen the same rug in a different store priced at 39.99, so you can get some great deals from here. the staff can be plesent and very helpfull. but over all i think this is a great bargain store, ideal for xmas shopping and partys. good cheap quality fine ales which cost much more else were. read more

This is an enormous discount market, selling a whole variety of useful items for absurdly little money. A few aisles of food is mostly tinned and convenience food, but you can sometimes find interesting foreign or hard to find items here - they have giant jars of sauerkraut, which I was delighted to find! Alcohol is also very cheap and some of it is good. I'd be wary of buying items that may or may not work from here - batteries and electronics in particular - but for things that don't need to work it's a great shop and worth a look. read more

Not the place to shop for quality but you can get some real good buys in there if you look around, end of lines or short dated items. A lot of tinned foods are half price, chocolate, coffee, tea bags washing powder and the like are a lot cheaper han the supermarkets. Some of the toys are ok and the xmas lines are fine. On the down side there are no frills, what you see is what you get, no nice decor and not overly clean. But still an ok place to sniff out a bargain. read more
