I don't often write such lengthy reviews, as most of the time they're short enough to warn others, however if you're seriously looking for work to be done in your home and want a honest opinion on where to turn then you'll appreciate the details. I felt providing such details was important when preparing to invest a lot of money and only wished I had such a resource when I needed it, so I'll share the link below if you'd like to read. The short version: Dynamic Comfort Solutions is the most trustworthy and thorough company! We saved thousands of dollars on this huge AC and water system overhaul, we were treated respectfully, there were no surprises, Billy the owner always stood by his original estimate and his word, the confidence we have in this team could never be matched by any others... in ANY industry! I purchased this system on 9/1/13 from Billy Cole of Dynamic Comfort Solutions. When he came to my home to give the estimate and complete the paperwork I was told the system I was purchasing was eligible for a $700 Lennox Rebate and a $200 Duke Energy SmartSaver rebate. Since the instillation, I have not received either rebate and contact with Mr. Cole to get the situation resolved has not been conducive to an agreement. He constantly skips around the situation and makes excuses, blaming the situation on employees he has let go or paperwork errors within his business, but still has not delivered on the $900 worth of rebates promised.

    I had been a customer for several years, having my unit serviced twice per year as part of their…read moreregular maintenance package, but after a series of horrible experiences in December 2025-January 2026, I will never work with this company again. 12/12/25- The unit was working perfectly fine before the technician showed up for my regular maintenance check. He was taking longer than normal, and before he left, the technician told me that he accidentally broke my thermostat but don't worry because he installed a new one. A couple hours after he left, the unit stopped working so he had to come back out that same afternoon. He couldn't fix it and by 6:30pm, told me he had to order a part. He then offered to bring heaters over but given the time, I told him I could get them over the weekend as I had to leave for the evening. 12/13/25- The next day (Saturday), I called to ask them status and to drop off the heaters that were offered. There was no mention of a cost for this. After they arrived (it was again after 6:30pm by the time they arrived) and set them up for me, the technician tried to charge me a service fee for coming out. They eventually waived this after I called the office to explain the technician had offered them to me the day before after he was unable to fix my unit after multiple hours and multiple visits on that day, but I find it frustrating I even had to make that call after they were offered. 12/15/25- I called the office on Monday to talk to Joe (recommended by the office team I spoke to on Saturday) about my experience and give feedback on the technician who said he broke my thermostat and then wasn't able to fix the unit that broke later that day. Joe offered to waive items that were already covered by my warranty (my unit is less than 2 years old- installed by them) and admittted he had no idea the technician broke my thermostat. He said once the part that was needed came in, they would come resolve the issue. 12/18- I was without heat for an additional 3 days before the part came in and they showed up on Thursday. They showed up at 5:40pm and when they tried to install the part, there were error codes that the technician couldn't resolve without tech support. Since they showed up so late, tech support was closed and so I had to go another day without heat. 12/19- The next day, they came in and what they thought was the issue the prior day was that the new part was faulty, but now they think it was actually another part of the unit that was broken, which meant they had to order another part. They claimed it would be in on Monday (12/22). That technician also damaged the ladder access to my unit in the attic and said he'd talk to Joe about the damage. When I expressed my frustration with how long the process was taking and how they couldn't diagnose the issue, I was told "coincidences happen" as to why the unit was broken despite multiple visits over a week. 12/22- I called the office Monday when I hadn't heard anything about the part being available. The office team said Joe was out of the office but they would connect with him and then call me back. They also said they had no notes about the technician breaking my ladder but would work with a contractor to get it fixed for me. 12/23- When I didn't receive that call back, I called back the next day and spoke to the same person I talked to the day before. She said Joe is still out of office, there is no update on the part and they wouldn't proactively put me on the schedule, even for after the holidays, until they received the part. January 2026- I did eventually get my heat repaired after the holidays, but this was after multiple visits, multiple delays in ordering parts, and several follow-ups initiated by me as opposed to the company. I also had to follow up with the office multiple times to have them connect me with their preferred contractor to replace the ladder the technician broke. In late January 2026, the unit stopped working again, but I called another company who was able to come out, diagnose the issue and resolve it timely. They even had availability to make appointments on the weekends unlike Air Care. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the level of service, lack of ability to diagnose the issue, availability of necessary parts, severe delays in receiving ordered parts, and length of time to ultimately restore heat after the unit broke while they were on site for their regular maintenance on 12/12. It should not take over two weeks to resolve an issue, regardless of what it is.

The technician who came out, told me that my blower wasn't working. I explained to him that i have been using my system all winter and the morning that he came out, and all of a sudden, my unit is suddenly broken. He was very offended ,and told me that he could leave and have someone else come out. I agreed and immediately called his company, and they sent his supervisor out. The supervisor checked the system and said that he accidentally disconnected the wire to my blower. If I didn't speak up, they would have ripped me off for thousands. They were apologetic only because they got caught trying to scam me. Use at your own risk.

    I had a gentleman from T Byrd's Heating and Air to look at my old heat pump. I told him I knew I…read moreneeded a new system but I could not do that right now. So he told me he checked on how much a fan for my outdoor unit would cost and first he told me $2,600. I told him I couldn't do that right now either. He then said he would give me a discount and make it $2,100. I told him I couldn't do that either and he said, "how about $1,000, or how much can you do now?" I told him I would have to think about it and he said he would look for a used motor that would be cheaper and he would call me back with a quote the next day. He never called back. Today I had an independent service fix it and it ended up costing me $740. *

    We requested a quote from Angi's List for an HVAC tuneup for a house we recently bought after 8pm…read moreone evening. Less than two minutes later we got a call from T Byrd's asking for confirmation that we needed their services. Within five minutes from this call, our service tech Dave texted us to confirm an appointment window the next day. We we already super impressed. Dave texted the next morning and said his first job ended early and would we like him to arrive sooner than his appointment window. Yes! Again, impressed. Dave arrived and was courteous and professional. He did a walk through in the house and pointed out tips and tricks with our floor registers and the main return vent. He then went to work on our heat pump in the crawl space. He showed us how dirty the air blower was and cleaned it. He also showed us how much debris was in the bottom of the compressor that he also cleaned out. We needed a couple of new parts and he educated us on what they did and how the motors on both units work and how have to work harder when dirt and debris impede air flow. We got a reasonable quote for duct cleaning in the near future. After Dave was done we could notice an increase in force of heated air coming out of the registers from the heat pump. The previous owners occupied the house the previous 10years and it seems doubtful they did any HVAC maintenance during that time. That's probably a big reason why the heat pump needed some new parts. We highly recommend you call T Byrd for speedy, courteous and friendly service at reasonable price! Certainly ask for Dave! He also went beyond expectations with his HVAC explanations. You'll be glad you called.

    finally agreed for Helms to check if the leak is within the newly installed 2nd floor unit or…read moreinside the pre-existing copper line, I will not pay for the test if the leak is within the unit or it has to do with workmanship. Couple of weeks back, Helms technician and service manager came out to test and found the leak within a valve connected to the evap coils. Surprised that this valve was not found leaking previously on many visits when this ac unit was not cooling properly. Helms did order the part and next day replaced the valve and as agreed they didnt charge for this work.and visit. Warranty is 30 days from the date of valave replacement. So far this 2nd floot ac unit is working fine. I will be anxious to see if this ac unit will continue to work ok or not next Summer after being turned off for winter. I do want to applaud Helms in keeping their end of deal and swiftly worked to replace this leaking valve.

Now entering a third warm season, and conveniently right out of warranty, the unit starts freezing up. It's not a filter issue, it's not a leak. It's a broken damper motor, NO temperature sensor actually installed on the unit as it SHOULD HAVE BEEN, and no bypass damper installed as a fail safe. We of course, did not find this out through helms. We called helms. They told us to CALL SOMEONE ELSE because they couldn't get out for a week and half. Nice. So now because of their shoddy work on a literal BRAND NEW HVAC unit, we are spending on over $700 to repair what they messed up on a brand new unit in a brand new home. Thankfully we found another honest company to come out and assist. I would stay away from using these guys.
