This is the worst power company I've ever seen in my life. They will not give you payment…read morearrangement if you miss any previous promise to pay, which happened to us due to an emergency coming up. They will put you on "denied arrangements" for 3 months without even telling you about it, until you call to make an arrangement and they tell you that you can't. You would think that due to all the issues everyone has had with COVID19, they would understand and try to help out as much as possible. Well this company don't, they could careless if you have lost your job, or if you have a sick child, they really are the worse power company I have ever dealt with!!! We had an arrangement set and we didn't have all the money, we paid half of the bill and tried to get the rest of the money up the next morning to be able to pay it off, by the time we got home from the Dr, with our sick child, our power was off, this was at 9:30 in the morning, I called the company and spoke with Chad, he advised me that they had now tacked on another $85, $50 for a deposit and $35 for a reconnecting fee, so now not only am I have to get the $97 thar remained owed on the bill but also another $85 due to the disconnect. I got the $100 and asked if I could have a fee waived due to not having the money for it, Chad waived the $35 reconnect fee and I asked if he would allow me to pay the other $45 on Monday, which was yesterday Dec. 7th. He advised me that I made a promise and it was broken, I explained to him that I could have had it all paid if they had given me until the end of the business day on Friday bc we were waiting on more money to come in, and he tacked on more money that I didn't have to be able to pay it, well I called today to try to make an arrangement for the bill coming due this month and the lady I spoke with said she was sorry but I am on denied arrangements, so just coming off of denied arrangements bc of the emergency that came up, this Chad guy decided to take it upon himself and put me back on denied arrangements after a mix up that I fixed Friday and yesterday. Needless to say, if you have a choice to go with a different power company please do. Atheist Albany Utilites works with you during this pandemic and don't tack on another $100 for something that you can't help happening. I will be sure to not have this power company when I buy my own land and home.
