If you're blonde, or light DO NOT go to Jenny or Lily. i came into the salon to get my medium brown roots touched up to match my platinum blonde hair. I had an appointment with Lily and left with yellow, uneven roots, and pretty intense banding especially around my hairline. I then contacted the salon by phone and had no response for 3 phone calls. I live nearby so i drove over. I definitely was upset and had an attitude but even from the start i was just trying to kinda laugh through it and i had a very aggressive worker named i believe John (who is not a colorist) continuously tell me me what my hair needs, as well as say to me "they aren't just gonna give you a refund because you don't like your hair now." and after some choice words on both ends i was told to not come back. I then left obviously, got a text from Jenny to fix it (even though i just wanted a refund) and came in the next day to fix it. Jenny did a much better job, but not a good one. The color i was left with was this pastel yellow roots and banding, as well as uneven from front to back. I do also believe my hair was styled to conceal the banding and unevenness. I texted and called to no response for days. I bought a red ken purple shampoo and conditioner (which i was also later recommended to get a purple shampoo to "fix the fixed hair" and the shampoo definitely didn't take well to the roots, obviously not their fault, but you can visibly see the levels of blonde are different (rest of photos) especially towards and front and sideburns. the salon was closed until tuesday (it's currently thursday) and after calling yesterday 10 times due to no one responding to a single call or text message, as well as the door being locked at 11am when they are open from 10-5 with no explanation. (i believe the number is automated for texts) I finally got a call back today where i was told i could either have them tone it, dye my roots back to my brown color also done by them, or i could essentially just forget about it. I was also told by the owner that I was harassing them, and that a police officer client was there while i was calling (yet they still couldn't answer) and told them it was harassment. So not only essentially threatening me with that, saying they had it all on cameras and body also felt like a threat so now i can't go back in the owner also blurted out she'd refund only my tip and then she hung up on me and refused to answer the phone afterwards. I was beyond willing to work with them, and even gave them a second chance but why would i go back to have them fix it when they've screwed it up 2 times?? BEYONDDDDD unprofessional.

I made my appointment online through the style app which was convenient for a mom on the go chasing 3 boys all over the place. I scheduled to have my hair cut and colored by Joy. I've heard great things so I was excited for the day of my appointment. The parking lot is small but it has plenty of parking so no need to worry there. Joy greeted me as soon as I walked in. I tried to explain what I wanted my hair to look like, a task that's harder then you would think. She got it and OMG did my hair look amazing. I have been a customer at Union Hair for years and have been going to Karalisa since she was at The…read moreHair Cuttery. The girls are great and are very nice; however, the last few times I've been I haven't been completely satisfied with my cuts/color. I chalked some of it up to me looking for more modern styles and cuts than the Union gals typically do, and since I trusted them for so long to do my hair, I liked it enough that I continued to go for a while. My most recent appointment was for a full highlight with Karalisa, which any color requires a deposit (totally fine! I don't mind!) I put down the deposit and looked forward to my color. The week of, I had something come up where I would be out of town the day of my scheduled appointment. I initially called 4 days before my appointment to let Karalisa know that I would need to reschedule, and there was no answer at the phone. I left a voicemail and figured I'd get a call back soon enough. Fast forward a day and I still didn't receive a phone call back, so I called again. Again, no answer, so I left a voicemail. Another day goes back with no call back and I had to call for a THIRD time and leave a voicemail. I was getting a little nervous at this point because I had been trying to reschedule my appointment for days now with no call back, and didn't want to be charged an additional fee for needing to reschedule. Karalisa finally called me back the day before my appointment and apologized for not calling sooner stating that she had been busy (totally get it!) The problem I had is that I was then informed that I would have to pay an ADDITIONAL non-refundable deposit of 50 dollars to reschedule my color, and that the initial deposit was basically lost now. When I asked about it, I was told FOR THE FIRST TIME that if you reschedule your appointment the week of, you need to put down an additional color deposit, which would've been nice to know when scheduling. By the time Karalisa had called I was already out of town or else I would've just went in to avoid losing that money. Like I said, the girls at Union are very talented and are very kind, but this interaction put a sour taste in my mouth unfortunately and I have since found another stylist. I think Union needs to work on communication with clients, because if I would've received a call back within 24 hours (or even 48) then I would've been able to avoid this whole fiasco.

Noble Barbershop…read more Since I had the honor and pleasure of being the first Yelp Elite to get this amazing hometown barbershop posted here on Yelp, I would like to share my most recent visit. Trey & Carlos are such humble and professional barbers, they welcome you and listen to your requests and are extremely detailed ! The nicest gentlemen you will meet They pride themselves on keeping the pricing affordable while providing such high level Service ! I have stopped here several times in between my reviews each time the shop continues to get better and better. There is plenty of very comfortable seating. The environment is very welcoming casual and laid-back. If you get there a little early, kickback and enjoy watching some TV. The barbershop is extremely clean and very inviting. They do offer an array of different products in my understanding from talking to Trey. They will be getting a host of other products soon. A little bonus since this is down in Hanover and we all know parking is very difficult at times they do have a private parking lot behind the shop . My recommendation is simple if you're tired of paying an extremely high price for a haircut and you want to try someone different you owe it to yourself to try the Noble Barbershop They do have an online booking system from their website, which is very simple to use.

Now first of all, I haven't had anything done with…read moremy hair in at least two years, and second, I'm notoriously picky about who I allow to touch my body. Be it dentists, hair dressers, tattoo artists, I will be choosy as hell and if I find one I like, I stick with them. David went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and refrained from making a single snarky comment about the sad limp balding mess my hair was when I came in. He also transformed it into a punky stylish masterpiece! This miracle worker hid my receeding hairline, and I look years younger with the haircut he gave me! I will be back often!
