It wasn't crowded when we got there around 9am. They have a few tables inside and benches and a table outside. The shelves for the sweet treats were nearly empty. There are breads and croissants behind the counter. They have coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Nussschnecke: Ground hazelnut cinnamon roll. Sticky, nutty, not overly sweet, and wonderful. Mandeltortli: Walnut tort. It's like a mini pie. The crust nice and super thick. Just enough to handle the walnut filling. Latte Macchiato: Nice frothy foam and strong espresso. They have sugar and sweetener on the counter near the door. It was snowing outside so, a nice pastry and a hot drink while staying inside was the way to go before going to Matterhorn. When we arrived to pick up she remembered us and offered to toast our subs. The sandwiches were PERFECT for our long train ride to the airport. The location is just past the train stations toward the north in Zermatt. Highly recommend anyone to stop in and grab a sandwich for the road, the hike, lunch or dinner.
