We arent from this area, but I know this is prime territory for fruit and vegetable stands. Get lucky and you can get local jams, vinegars, honey, snacks as well. There were things we liked about this fruit stand. It was notable that they carried many snack items (fresh nuts, many varieties of seasoned almonds, freeze-dried vegetables, dried fruits, etc). The bonus was, they had small jars to get samples of everything. We bought several as a result. Next, were their strawberries. Wonderful! Since it was May, I knew they were at their peak in sweetness. While everyone usually goes for the big plump ones, I found a half tray that had seconds, which I prefer. Seconds suffer in looks, but tend to be even more so sweet that the oversized ones, IMHO. These were a beautifully flavored variety and thoroughly enjoyed. We were on a honey hunt. There was a large variety of local honeys here. Loved that we could buy them in many different sized jars, including the cute honey bear squeeze bottles. They did not offer tasting, however. The two we picked were the blue sage and blackberry honeys. Both are great. Their Achilles Heel, sadly, were the baked goods. They looked good, but did not pass the taste test at all. We bought a pie and a couple turnovers. The strawberry rhubarb pie ended up tasting like cherry, and not even a good cherry pie. It had highly thickened filling, little sugar, and was lacking in any real fruit taste. This held true for the turnovers as well. Possibly some of the worst we have ever had. Sadly, everything ended up in the trash. Horrible. Stick with the produce and snacks. Nice quality and many choices. read more

We stopped here on our way to Yosemite. They were giving away free grapes. I also bought some Delicious apples, raw walnuts which were the best I've ever tasted and also a raspberry turnover. Great stop. Friendly service. They have a restroom. Please come and create your own adventure. read more

I wanted to purchase a watermelon but didn't find any that were actually worthy. Bro bought hummus and tortilla chips. Those were actually good. A company based out of Concord Ca. I got three different turn-over desserts. They were just okay. More like a jam filling. The pies looked good as well but opted out. May stop by again when in the area for seasonal fruits. This was a convenient place to pop in for snacks. The market is clean, spacious, and had a nice selection of reasonably priced snacks. Huge roadside produce market with a great selection, including baked goods, produce, and lots of dried snacks, as well as a wide selection of local honey. I picked up some okra chips which were great, some blackberry honey I haven't tried yet, and sampled many other delicious items. There is also a small playground for the kids to get some energy out. Most importantly, my 5 year old left a precious stuffy at said playground. We reached out to them to see if they had found it and they were kind enough to mail it back to us. This is such a cute market! Stopped by on the way back from a vacation, and was impressed by the variety of fruits, snacks, and fresh food they had a available. There were so many things I wanted to try. I ended up just getting the kettle corn nuts (they had sooo many corn nut flavors). They were great! Crunchy and had great flavor. Minimally stocked and staff flaunts their lack of masks, particularly the gal at the cash register. The other review that mentioned this and the moldy corn is exactly what I experienced today. Patrons were all wearing masks, and were respectful of distancing. Their restroom requires approval to use (which I'm all for, especially during a global pandemic). Warning: This review has nothing to do with mask. I really enjoy coming here for fruits, pastries and snacks. I've enjoyed their pies and turnovers. It's not overly sweet, since I don't like overly sweet treats, so these are perfect with a cup of coffee. The strawberries are yummy! That's the main reason why I came here. The only bad thing is that i have to eat them pretty quick since they are organic and can go bad fast. (But I haven't had that problem yet since I eat them so fast.) They also have some yummy snacks. Love their Chile Lime pistachio and Tequila Lime pistachio's. The veggies chips are so good! Sounds weird, but my favorite are the garlic chips and beet chips. Overall, worth a quick stop for an inexpensive nut or popcorn snack. They have a restroom in the back that is clean. The staff aren't wearing masks, but all the shoppers did. Only 2 adult men, focused on jerky, were not wearing masks- were not asked to and both staff and men exchanged conversations about 2-3 feet from each other about the jerky. No one seemed worried about precautions or boundaries. Straight forward fruit stand, honey ($10-$22 sizes), beautiful peaches, strawberries, cherries and figs ($3.5/basket). $7 for a flat of light brown, organic eggs. Kettle corn ($6/bag). Corn nuts ($1/bag). Sweet pastries ($4-5) and pies (didn't catch price). I passed on figs, which ripen quickly in the 90 degree heat. The avocados at 10 for $1 are tiny. "Exotic Jerky," is prevalent at these fruit stands and is sourced from outside the stand; single stick form (Alligator, Elk, Camel). read more

We shopped there yesterday about noon. everything was fine collecting what I needed to buy and then when I went up to the cash register I noticed that the clerk did not have a mask. I mentioned to her that she should be wearing a mask. She said that I was rude. I said that it is a state law to wear a mask and after I paid I left. To me she was being very rude and was harassing me and was inconsiderate. I don't enjoy wearing a mask either but I do it to protect others and I expect that clerks, especially, should be respecting the law and other people. I think this is inexcusable to call a customer rude by calling out the law of California. I have been to the store several times and covid and everything was okay. The produce isn't the greatest but I stop there because it's convenient. I will no longer go to that store and I will go to Jack Tone instead because they have a respect for customers. read more

We've driven passed this establishment several times on our way to Twain Harte, each time we see the advertisement for 10 for $1 avocados. Don't waste your time. Avocados are tiny and way overly ripe. By tiny I mean you'd need like at least 20 of them to make dip. When we stopped by the produce was poor, and needed to be thrown out. Corn was $1/ear and had mold on the husks. No, thanks. Not worth the 5 mins we wasted to stop. Keep driving. read more

Also not wearing a mask. We asked her to put one on. She told us that they didn't need our business. Thinking about reporting them to the health authorities. We came for the pies that were advertised on the side of the road. I love berry pies- when I was growing up I used to pick berries and make several pies from scratch and the homemade ones with fresh fruit are the best. Anyway, I asked the staffer there which pie had a little bit of tart berry flavor since I know some people make pies sweet. She said the raspberry cream cheese pie. So we got that one and my husband also got the blueberry. Neither pies were made with fresh fruit--they were basically jam or jelly or preserves (NOT made from fresh berries) filled into a pie crust.
