I know nothing about kids, or presents for kids, and the lady there spent 10mins walking me through all the options, then another lady at the counter gift-wrapped (au gratis) my present - a tiny UV-impregnated onesie - and sent me on my way with a smile that was as good as a hug. Minime has a huge selection of brands and good gift ideas - in fact they have a gift registry for those planning baby showers. My only real grit with this place is the space. It feels crowded. I did, but because I didn't have over $100 at my disposal, I had to wink and walk away... making promises to come back (that I hope I can keep). Toward the back of the shop (up the stair, careful not to trip), I found my second little love: Parisian thread bracelets. Made simply out of thick thread and metallic beads and finished with small pompoms, these bracelets are as sweet as they come, and fairly affordable at that. They aren't offering homewares like the Melbourne store does. They have some good options for men and the quality is better then what you are going to get for a similar price in the likes of Cotton On. I stocked up on some much needed items to get me through the winter months. Overall the store is a miniature version of what H&M offers and they are due to have a CBD store at the end of 2015 which will be a similar size to the Melbourne GPO store.

And the nicer suit-y garb, the wool jackets and cream suits and such. But most of it is like a glorified Cotton On, sadly. And where's the big homewares section that Melbourne gets?! I was surprised to see it at the airport but out of curiosity walked in and suddenly got super excited. They had a wonderful collection of summer gear - beautiful dresses, caftans, shirts and super fun accessories.... Suddenly I wanted to buy the whole store and than change my airport ticket to Hawaii so I could spend a week showing off my new summer ensembles. The prices were reasonable with a detailed summer dress costing around $120. I was surprised by how much I liked this store and how it excited me for a summer holiday.. If you're a girly girl you're gonna like this store....if you're a tom boy I suggest you stay clear as it may cause an allergic reaction. My kinda place... worthy of a visit.
