OMG! Let me start by telling you that my husband and I almost had given up the hope that our children would eventually sleep in their own bed, at a reasonable time and sleep through the night. I wanted to wait a lil while (4weeks) to write this review to make sure that it is not temporary but rather the new norm. As a first time mom, I really didn't know anything about how babies sleep. My husband and I had no clue on how to get her to take naps or sleep through the night. The fact that I am writing this review should be testament to Katie's powers because it shows that I actually have the time to write a review now that my 4 month old is napping! As a first time mom with a high needs baby/borderline colic, I was suffering from sleep deprivation and some post partum anxiety. I never had time My baby was high needs/borderline colic. She refused to sleep on her back, fought naps, never slept longer than 20 minutes for naps and cried for a long time when I put her in her crib. The only way I could find much needed sleep at night for both of us was to co-sleep with her while nursing. Not only was this a dangerous SIDS risk, this also meant my sleep was horrible. I would wake up every 30 minutes to an hour making sure she was still breathing and I would not roll on her. Getting up to go to the bathroom was so nerve racking so as not to wake her. My neck was stuck on the side she was nursing on that night. I didn't want to tell people that is how we slept for fear of judgment. While I managed like that for 3 months, I thought hey at least my daughter seems like she is sleeping through the night! I can get by like this... Then the 4 month regression hit her at 3.5 months. She was waking up any time between 2 am to 5 am, ready to play a while before I could nurse her back to sleep. It lasted 2 weeks and it was exhausting. She promised that my daughter CAN sleep 12 hours through the night and take 3 to 4 naps a day. She said she will be able to sleep on her back in a crib on her own. I can't begin to express how much Katie has helped me 'decode' what my baby was telling me and his needs regarding sleep. Not until after I already paid I realized that this is very generic and I've literally seen all those methods and more on TikTok for free from sleep trainers giving out free advice to moms in need. After reading multiple books, blogs/articles my husband and I decided that it was time to get help. Just finished our sleep plan with Katie and we have to say this was WORTH EVERY PENNY! I kept waiting and waiting for my 17 month old toddler to sleep. IT IS WORTH THE MONEY. When you're ready to commit to a sleep plan, Katie is your girl. She took our family needs/wants into consideration when making our plan, coached us and gave us the reinforcement we needed along the way to implement it with fidelity. Our son went from screaming for 1-2 hours at bedtime and waking up multiple times a night, to minimal protesting (if any) and sleeping till the morning. We co-slept with our son until he was 3 years old. His sleep time was 9pm-6am and was not enough. He woke up when I woke up, which made it hard for me to do other things while he was sleeping. We did not know how to adjust that, but Katie did a great job helping us the adjustment, and now our son is sleeping from 7:30pm-6am in his bedroom on his own! I cannot say enough about Katie! When I contacted her, my 2 year old was waking up 3 - 6 times a night. I was exhausted. Not only that, he was still drinking from a bottle to fall asleep. Because of his age and difficult temperament, I didn't think it was even possible to sleep train him. I am so glad I met Katie because she helped me with everything down to the smallest detail. Absolutely love Katie Shell and Baby Sleep Well! I started working with her when my baby was about 3 months old and naps had become a huge struggle. I was dealing with ppd and naps/lack of sleep were the biggest trigger for my anxiety and stress. Katie let me talk with her a few times before we even purchased a package, and after discussing my son for only about 5 minutes gave some immediate recommendations that we implemented that day with huge success. Turns out my son could fall asleep independently already, and I was misreading all of his cues! As a first time mama and a pediatrician, I will say that if you are looking for a sleep consultant, please look no further, Katie is incredible. My 17-month-old daughter had never slept through the night, waking up 2-4 times and having to be fed and bounced back to sleep. I was starting to worry that I had waited too late to sleep train her, but we were all becoming more and more exhausted. Finally, my husband and I decided that our current situation was unsustainable and we contacted Baby Sleep Well. From the very beginning, Katie was kind, professional and so very knowledgeable about baby and toddler sleep. She gave great analogies to help to describe normal sleep physiology and had practical and concrete answers to my and my husband's questions. She also has a very gentle and warm approach which was perfect for me, especially in my sleep deprived state. And she created a detailed sleep shaping plan for our daughter that was feasible and practical. Within 2 days of implementing the sleep shaping, our daughter was sleeping through the night without waking up and also napping consistently for 2 hours per day. Let me just say, if you are on the fence about sleep training, JUST DO IT!! My son was never a good sleeper and we had gotten into the habit of giving him his bottle just so he would go back to sleep. After a year of dealing with sleepless nights and crying fits I knew I needed to get him off of his bottle and sleeping better but I had no clue where to start. I was really at the end of my rope. We tried so many different things and I read so many different articles/stories of how to get my child to sleep but nothing was working. We weren't sure the outcome of this program because our daughter is 1 years old, so active and curious we thought it was going to be torture. However!!!! My 7 month old had been a great sleeper that turned into an OK sleeper after the 4 month sleep regression. She was nursing 3/4x a night and only taking 30 minute naps.
