Parking in Lourmarin is right in town and easy to negotiate and to access shops and restaurants. In the town itself, there are multiple awesome clothing/accessory shops as well as restaurants, and other types of shops. Lourmarin is a delightful place to walk around. While in Lourmarin, I shopped for clothing, jewelry (bijoux) and other items. One shop that stood out to me was DGL at 2 Rue de Temple (look for the white awning and racks of clothing outside the shop). DGL is just to the right of Cafe Gaby as you face that restaurant. Inside this cozy shop are loads of great unique and stylish clothing and jewelry (bijoux) for those who are bohemian in spirit and taste. I found wonderful items to buy in this shop including two hand-painted linen tops and jewelry which completely appealed to my sense of style. The lovely and very helpful owner was great to chat with as I was making my selections for purchase. Let me tell you what this shop offers to female shoppers you likely won't find in the United States if that is where you are from. I am constantly searching for boutiques like DGL here in the US and those places are very hard to find. I've always loved to color outside the lines so this shop exactly helped me do that. We came to Manosque after spending a pleasant afternoon in Bandol drinking rose (sadly the winery…read morethat we visited isn't on Yelp, so we're unable to sing its e-praises). We had a bit of time to kill before our 4:30 tour--you need to call ahead!--and spent it in their lovely garden and shop. One of us only ever uses their hand creams, and they had a wide selection of scents here, so we bought a whole bunch to bring back as souvenirs. The tour itself was well done because you get to see all different parts of the factory and hear about their history, process, and philanthropic work. Overall, not too propaganda-y. (The labs are "secret" so you're not allowed in that part. Eye roll.) Our only complaint is that the tour was too long--the hour felt verrrrrry stretched out. Otherwise, we had a nice stop here on our way to Valensole. It's a pretty incredible company with an interesting history.

ABSOLUTELY TRUE. We especially loved the Olive vendor who had a fabulous artichoke tapinade, and the cheese guy who had a very mild, but wonderful, blue cheese. Thought the market might be a bit larger than it actually is, and that there might be a few more options for lunch on the spot, but we did find a boucherie where small sandwiches were available as well. The place is about a 45 minute drive from our house. Would go back in a heartbeat for the ambiance and selection. If fact, I'm pretty sure we will I say yes!

It's a pretty interesting place. All shades of ochre, yellow, orange, reds. Surreal landscape, dunes and geological formations that make you think you're on Mars. (Or in Colorado.) There are several trails to take, and it just fun to wander around and get dirty.
