A service so unpleasant that we almost walked out…read more We visited as a group of 10 people and the experience was extremely disappointing. The food tasted good, although the presentation was rather poor. The real problem, however, was the service. There were constant mistakes with our orders. Dishes arrived with missing or incorrect ingredients, there was confusion about who had ordered what, and food even appeared at our table that nobody had requested. The most surreal moment came when a sandwich arrived that none of us had ordered. When we pointed this out to the waitress, her response was simply, "Well, I'll just leave it here," and she left it on the table as if the problem had somehow become ours. We later had to ask her to take it away because, unsurprisingly, it still didn't belong to anyone. What makes this even more difficult to understand is that the restaurant was practically empty. Outside, there was only our table and another table with two people, yet the amount of confusion and mistakes was remarkable. And the worst part wasn't the mistakes themselves, but the attitude of the blonde waitress who was serving us. I don't know her name, but the restaurant will have no difficulty identifying her. Every time we pointed out a mistake (mistakes that we certainly hadn't caused), she reacted with sighs, muttering, obvious annoyance and disapproving looks. The constant feeling was that pointing out an incorrect order seemed to bother her more than the mistake itself. Rather than trying to solve problems politely, she made us feel as though we were somehow responsible for them. At one point she even told a colleague, in front of customers, "You deal with them because I can't be bothered." Seeing a waitress openly disengage from a table in that way was as surprising as it was unprofessional. In all our years of eating out, we have never felt like we were inconveniencing staff simply by asking for what we had actually ordered. The atmosphere became so unpleasant that all ten of us genuinely discussed whether we should stay or leave. We ultimately decided to remain because we didn't want to ruin a meeting that had already been arranged. In all our years of dining out, we have never seen a single waitress achieve something so remarkable: making an entire table seriously consider leaving before the meal had even begun. To top it all off, the table was dirty and the receipt was printed incorrectly to the point that many items and prices were barely legible. We understand that technical issues can happen and that this is not necessarily the staff's fault, but after everything else it felt like just one more problem added to an already frustrating experience. We don't get upset over an incorrect order. What matters is how that mistake is handled. Anyone can make a mistake, but poor customer service is a choice. The value for money didn't help either. The burgers were surprisingly small considering the prices, the portion of fries was minimal, and the presentation left a lot to be desired. When a restaurant charges those kinds of prices, certain expectations naturally come with them. Unfortunately, neither the food nor the service lived up to those expectations. The impression we were left with was of a place aimed mainly at passing tourists, where customers are charged far more than what is actually being offered. All ten of us left with exactly the same conclusion: we won't be returning, and we certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. There are plenty of places where you can enjoy a meal and a good time with friends. This is not one of them.

That combo has never been put together. I was proven wrong. Been living in southern spain a little over a year now, and their chicken pad thai was the best i've had so far. We also tried the big burger (has a fried egg in it). Both entrees were real good. We also ordered the fried chicken wings (4 wings in an order). To my disappointment, they were salty. Hopefully this was just a fluke on our order. Other thai dishes they offer are curries and meat entrees. They also offer a small variety of sushi as well as different choices of burgers. Since it was our first time eating here, we just sat at the table outside and waited for the guy to take our order. But based on reading the other review, next time for sure we will go up to the counter. Sorry guys! The staff here are very friendly as well. It is a smaller establistment, inside has 3 tables and 4 outside. Great prices and good food. I will most likely be coming here again when i get a craving of thai food. Looking forward to trying their curry next time!

A Thai, sushi, and burger joint -- who knew?!…read more On the prowl for good Thai food (cost effective and with better service than the Thai place we'd already found) we found ourselves at S&P near the beach in Chipiona. Yup, we were skeptical. In an effort to find a fatal flaw, we ordered about ten different things off the menu: spring rolls, chicken satay, onion rings (Thai, right?), a California Roll, tuna tartar, chicken panang, chicken pad Thai, and sautéed rice. Phew, that was a mouthful, no pun intended. Okay, only eight things. Over ten with the drinks though. We were thrilled -- struck gold!! No real issue with anything and destroyed the entree dishes. 45E for all that -- we'd be in about 175E at the other place on the beach for the same amount of food. Small beer and wine menu, canned tinto (not bad!), sodas and water. You have to go to the register to order, but they will bring it all out to you. Last but not least: drag yourselves across the street for frozen yogurt afterwards!!! xD UPDATE: 3/24/17 I no longer recommend SyP. This evening was two meals in a row that we have not been pleased; tonight's dinner was characterized by obviously reheated rice and a lottttttt of sodium. The chef who used to be here has not been present either visit; everything we ordered tonight was a miss, from too much salt to over cooked chicken. We won't be returning for another try -- disappointing because we loved SyP for a quick Thai fix.
