Hence - I experienced my very first facial and microderm abrasion at GALEN Laser Aesthetics today! I had no idea what to expect, but was pleased to be welcomed by a warm and friendly receptionist who ushered me into a bright waiting room. There was no music playing, so it is quite peaceful and I was happy that it did not feel too "clinical", like a lot of doctors offices. I didn't have to sit more than ten minutes before my name was called. My aesthetician was very patient and super informative when it came to other services I was interested in learning about and educated me on exactly what was going to happen during my visit, so I wasn't surprised or nervous. She even showed me the equipment and let me hold it and explained what each piece did. The room itself smelled delicious and there is a cute basket for you to put your purse and clothes in. Yes - surprise! - you get to put on a fancy robe and hair-net. The procedure itself was one of the most relaxing experiences I have ever had and I can't WAIT to go back for another! It lasted about an hour and a half and included a hot stone massage towards the end on your shoulders and neck that was simply divine! The aesthetician made sure I was comfortable all throughout our time together. The soothing instrumental music playing in the background just enhances the chance that you will feel super rested afterwards! Honestly excited to buy this experience as a gift for my girlfriends. They will love it AND it is so refreshing and rejuvinating for their skin! Upon leaving, I was gifted a water bottle and some mints as well as samples of various products that my aesthetician felt would be beneficial for me to try based on her observations. Everyone was just as friendly and attentive on my way out as they were when I first entered, and I truly felt like a special guest while I was there. When I reached out to come back in for the Botox, they wanted me to pay again. They even took pictures and saw that they didn't work. They advertise low prices but now I know why. The injections were prefilled and you don't see the viles. Very, very sketchy. I didn't do my due diligence in looking up allure. They would not honor the full amount of the gift card despite a $350 card being emailed to me by them!! (See image) They only honored the purchase price of the card but tried to say it was fine for them to do this because they gave me Botox points/coupon and a new client discount that should have been completely separate than the gift card amount. I was then texted that I would be refunded the $100 difference to be called not 2 minutes later and told nope we have decided not to refund you. It's unethical sales practices by the call center whom the gift card was purchased through to mislead the purchaser, and also horrible business practice at the location to not honor the gift card amount. End of the day I get it is only $100, but the deeper issue is trusting where you go and this location has proven itself to be very misleading to get you in the door and then charge 30% more for their services than competitors. This location is one of the most expensive in the area for subpar service and a rather dumpy location run by clueless 20 yo's at the desk. The text replies were flippant and unprofessional to an obviously upset customer over their lack of ethics. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere but here. I would call this the shady "used car salesman" or "buy here pay here" version of the med spas.

The front desk staff was indifferent but efficient. I was taken to an exam room around 11:30. On the way, we passed a receptionist area where about six staff members were gathered--talking loudly, eating snacks, and drinking sodas. Someone briefly came in to say the PA would be in soon. While waiting alone in the exam room, I noticed the space hadn't been cleaned. There were used bandage wrappers on the counter, exam gloves hanging out of the dispenser, and random, unprofessional printouts taped to the walls. By 11:50, I was still waiting and feeling increasingly uncomfortable, so I left. No one was at the front desk when I exited, so I didn't formally check out. I will not be returning.
