Best massage experience I've ever had on Maui. She really took the time to talk & work through my…read morespecific areas of knots & previously injured areas. She was great at finding the right amount of intensity as well not too hard but hard enough to were I could feel the knots/tight areas like my shoulders loosen up by the end. Also just a very sweet lady which made the whole experience great. Thank You!!!

One day, a good while back, I woke up with muscle knots rippled all up my back, shoulders, and into…read moremy neck. Imagine waking up and looking like a lopsided cripple in desperate need of a full back/neck brace, yeah that was painful. So the first thing I did wasn't eat breakfast, it was call nearly every masseuse in Carson to find someone that had time to help a cripple out. Thank GOD for Theresa. And that's the real reason I have given her 4 stars; she was kind and helpful in my moment of painful need. However. As far as massages go, this was by far THE MOST PAINFUL I have ever submitted to. Sure I've been in pain during a massage before, I have always been an athlete and muscle knots are inevitable, but NOTHING like this. I wrote off the first massage with Theresa as a necessary evil and thought that it was because my muscle knots were clearly worse than I'd ever had before. And she was doing her absolute best to oblige to my "I can take it" attitude. BUT. When the muscle knots lingered and I didn't feel any relief, Theresa got me in for a second session, and again THE MOST PAINFUL thing I've ever done. (Even a brazilian wax isn't close to this on the pain thermostat.) This time, I spoke up telling her it was painful and all that really happened was that she lessened her finger pressure. I left wanting to cry over the fact that the muscle knots were not gone and I was still in cripple pain mode. So I went home, sat in my mom's massage chair contraption, did that 2-3 times a day, and VOILA!, my pain disappeared far more efficiently than my two massages over a week did. Note to self: sometimes mechanical balls can do magical things where a human just can't. (Oh wait, DUH. *wink*) Here's the dealio: yes, Theresa has gotten rave reviews from everyone else, and maybe her massages are a lot easier to swallow when you're not in bone-crushing pain. But from what I've been told since those two terrible sessions, no massage should be that painful. And that makes me question her capabilities. But I'm not a bitch. I'm going to let this all slide because she clearly has fans and I'm no disgruntled customer. Just consider this fair warning, just in case.
