My husband and I came to Ho'omana during our honey moon for some rest and relaxation and we were blown away. I regularly get hot stone massages but had never had a lomi lomi massage before. So we opted for the lomi lomi 50 minute hot stone and it has to be the best massage I have ever gotten. It was my husband's first massage and he claimed to feel like a different person. This place is so cute and in the most tranquil setting. It is WAY up Piiholo, in a beautiful spot. I booked the Aloha Spa Ritual as a treat to myself. This included an herbal bath, body polish, lomi lomi and a facial. My treatment room was adorable. Mike was my provider that day and did a great job communicating throughout the experience. My wife and I came down from outer island for a mini vacation and booked our appointment the same day (Friday just before lunch) and was lucky enough to book within an hour of calling. We have been coming to Ho'omana for many years. The couples retreat is so great. Super relaxing and rejuvenating. First a soak in two hot tubs with salts and fragrances and soft music. Then on to the private room where we start with aromatherapy and a beautiful traditional Hawaiian song to bring calm. We then had a full body salt scrub and then on to a Lomi Lomi massage. I added the hot rocks as I was having some sciatic issues. We couldn't believe how good we felt after the session. Renewed. Seema and Lauren took such good care of us, are so knowledgeable and caring. They made our visit a very special and memorable experience. Not only are the practitioners fantastic and knowledgeable but every part of the space/experience is intentional. The products used are all hand crafted and natural, made from local herbs that honor both Hawaiian tradition as well as the environment, but also the space itself is beautiful and relaxing. We loved having the natural light during the herbal bath portion as well. Everyone who works there is fabulous, know what they're talking about and know how to make you feel at home. This review is LONG overdue (we were here in June last year). I was cleaning out my stack of business cards and realized I never left Ho'omana Spa a much deserved five star review. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and decided to splurge on a nice massage. We drove here from Wailea, which was about an hour and a half drive, but it was absolutely worth it for the experience (and we wanted to support local, as most spas on the island are part of chain hotels). When we arrived, the receptionist immediately greeted us and showed us to the outdoor waiting area. There is a ton of greenery and floral, which is used to make their lotions and scents used during the spa service. You get to pick from a variety of scents and lotions to use during your massage. I got the hot stones and my husband got the deep tissue; we both absolutely loved our experience. We also added on the herbal bath which was a great way to end the service. The tubs were in an outdoor bath house, which isn't an experience you can get just anywhere! This spa is definitely more pricey than others, but I really encourage anyone visiting Maui to choose this local business over a corporate-owned spa, because the experience here is unlike any other. Also, don't let the distance scare you- it was an absolutely beautiful drive! Six months later, we still talk about our experience and what a great memory it was. If we ever make it back to Maui, we will be returning to Ho'omana! read more

It's quite a scenic route with tall and low greens, big beautiful trees, which gives off a zen-like vibe. We booked a 50 min deep-tissue massage. My masseuse is Alison and my partner got Claire. Alison was amazing, her hands felt magical. I felt like I was on cloud 9. Alison almost got me falling asleep until she started working on parts of my body where I felt tension around. But oh boy, did it felt great afterwards! She also got me hooked on the lemongrass scent. If you're looking for something with a higher pressure, this place might not be for you. We were asked to come in 15 minutes before our appt. However, a little mis-routed, we ended up arriving late. It's a good thing that I called so they got the mist and butter ready before we arrive. My family and I came to Maui on our summer vacation. Work has been difficult lately so we decided to do a family spa day at Ho'omana, and let me tell you that was the best decision we made for the whole trip! The spa is located a healthy drive away from the hotel, and I now understand why -- the location is away from touristy attractions and set in nature, complete with beautiful landscaping and birds who are also enjoying their time here. We were greeted by Hailey and her positive energy and sunny disposition set the tone for the whole experience. The spa is clean and bright and a great setting for our spa getaway. Our therapists were Abbie P, Rohonda, and Alison and they took their time to explain the types of products they use (I chose lemongrass and lavender) and how they'll use them. We also talked about the ancient and authentic Hawaiian techniques they use including Lomi Lomi. Words can't express how amazing the treatment was. We all had the 80-min Lomi Lomi (feeling frisky we upgraded to deep tissue) and it was perfect. All of us felt so revived after the session we can't stop talking about it. We bought some of the products -- organic and hand-made by the owner -- to use at home and will remind us of this epic experience. Ho'omana provides authentic Hawaiian healing. Honestly, I was a little skeptical at first, but after our experience it's safe to say we are believers. All of our stresses from work school (and family,.LOL) are left behind. This day spa is a rare gem. It is peaceful with cool breezes flowing through the rooms of this old plantation style house. The staff are welcoming, offering cool fruit infused water or lemongrass tea to set the mood before the massage. Ronald has been my main therapist and he provides the best pressure, knowing just how deep to go, how much time to spend on each area and his pace is perfectly relaxing and therapeutic at the same time. There is also a lovely little gift section with locally made cards, chocolate, skin care products, clothing and jewelry, fun to peruse while sipping a cup of tea before the massage.
