I said so you don't have anything u would recommend for someone starting out tanning? And she proceeded to ask me have I ever been tanning before? Like I was dumb and I was inconveniencing her. The young lady behind the counter recommended I do a lower level since I 'didn't have a base tan'. I told her as I laughed that believe it or not this is a base for me, I just started out super pale. I could tell she wasn't use to a response and I made her uncomfortable so I chose the lower level knowing I could go for max time. I have been to this Zip tan before, I know that there are larger rooms available, she put me in the smallest room and the smallest stand up. I couldn't move, I'm a larger woman and in that instant I felt so disgusting and fat shamed. When I walked out she was laughing at my clear discomfort .To the young lady behind the counter, I hope no one ever makes you feel how you just made me feel. Definitely an awesome salon! It's a pretty cool location with several tanning beds and the woman is really friendly. The other review must be tripping a little bit because I think that I would definitely come here for tanning if I lived around here. The owner seems like she wants to have an upscale tanning "resort", but it's not quite there. I experienced two distinctly different front desk personalities, and both of them irritated me. One girl acted like I was interrupting her texting when I came in, and the other never stopped talking about her personal life, to the point of keeping me standing there forever. The absolute worst thing about this place, and the reason I stopped going? The bird. Yes, I said bird. I'm guessing the bird was brought in to try and enhance the tropical theme. It's one of those birds that talks....sorry, I don't know my birds, so I can't say what kind it is. Anyway, this bird SHRIEKS random stuff. It screams "hello" and other words, but it also just screams. So you're laying in your tanning bed, trying to relax, and all of the sudden it sounds like the bird is being choked to death. I just couldn't handle laying there for 12 minutes and half-falling asleep, only to be jarred awake by that damn bird. Would I go back if the bird were gone? Nope. I've moved on to a better place.

I tried to come in during "staffed hours" today and no one was in the building nor could I even use my chip to gain access. I decided after work, on a whim, to get a cut right then, and I was glad they made it happen for me here same day. The front desk was very nice and my stylist Mona was as well. She is very talented and I told her 2 things, layers and face frame, and she delivered, no pics and no explanation necessary. Couldn't be happier and my hair feels so healthy and bouncy. My one and only suggestion is that you Guys put in some coat and bag hangers for customers/clients to hang their things up. Thank you, will for-sure come back for more.
